Licentiapacisterra wrote:Luca chuckled.

“Bene, bene. It looks like I’ve hit a little bit of a nerve, doesn’t it ??” He says, looking around to the others in the room. “You know, I’m going to thank you. Grazie mille !!” Luca laughed, and ate a little of the cake. “Hmm, good cake.” He turned back to Allan. “You want to know why I’m thanking you ?? Because all that you have done by pulling that little stunt, is prove my point to the letter. You just don’t like me, with no good reasoning whatsoever. Why exactly don’t you like me ?? Perche non ti piaccio ??” Luca smiled, and finished wiping the mix of blood and cake from his head and face.

"I thought it would be obvious, boy" Allan replied, sitting back down on his seat. "First you break school property, then you disturb the peace for your fellow students with that cursing of yours and next your talk back to your elders. You're a young, inexperienced child."

Gazing towards Crowley, he sighed. It was as if both men had a psychic connection for a brief moment.
That is supposed to become a mage, Aleister?

"It's fine, don't worry about it," Edward said with a brief laugh, smiling back at her. He noticed that she was blushing a little. I never knew an android could blush he thought to himself. "Oh, my name's Edward, or you can just call me Eddie, whichever one works for you, " For a brief moment it felt like he couldn't move, and when he could again the Italian chap who had come crashing through the window was now on the floor with cake all over his face, with the old teacher towering over him. That bloke really does kick arse... "That Italian could learn a lot about just shutting up, couldn't he?" Edward asked EVE. He was beginning to take a liking to her, she seemed like the most normal person at the school compared with all the sociopaths and demons and who knows what else.

“Well, I might as well answer your points.” Luca said, stroking an imaginary beard. “On your first point, I think you should talk to the idiota who parked a plane on your front lawn. He outdid even my entrance !!” Luca chuckled, before continuing. “Second, how do you expect someone to react when they are stabbed with a shard of glass ?! Do you just expect me to go,” as he put on a posh English accent, “Oh, that hurt rather a lot. Jolly ho !!” Luca returned to his normal Italian accent. “Also, I doubt that anybody apart from you that is in here understands Italian cursing, which is why I chose to say it in Italian rather than English. And thirdly, I don’t necessarily respect people at their whim. I respect them when they’ve earned it. And you haven’t earned anything from me yet.” Luca sat down, waiting to see the next reaction he’d get.

Jamie... No. Not Jamie. Rayne. My name is Rayne now. I have to forget about Jamie. Rayne sat in the feast area, looking around. She disliked food, as a rule. She could get a similar nourishment from physical contact with anyone she found to be cute, and looking around the room, there were more than a few cute girls. Unfortunately for Rayne, she doubted many of them would be up for the physical contact she really wanted. However, most wouldn't actually object to simply putting a hand on them, and that would be enough. Well, it would be a snack. She would probably still have to eat something, which was unfortunate, to say the least.

Rayne moved through the hall, thinking to herself how remarkable the place was. She knew she had powers, and other people did too, of course, but in the twenty years... Not twenty. You haven't lived that long. Only fifteen. The doctor said you were physically fifteen, so that is your age. Rayne thought to herself, reminding herself of her new identity. Anyway, in the fifteen years of her life, she had never thought so many powered individuals could be in one room, without anarchy reign-

Rayne corrected herself once more. A lackwit could tell anarchy was the only thing in this school with but a glance, but so far at least, there was no fire, and nothing was being destroyed. It was remarkable. She absentmindedly wondered how many of them actually knew where their powers came from. Rayne didn't, but she suspected her father had something to do with it. One night stand with her mother, and nine months later, Jamie popped out. Then twenty years after that, Rayne left the Jamie personality behind, acquiring Rayne in the process.

Rayne cut off her flashbacking, even if that wasn't a word and it wasn't really flashbacking (fuck you, it is now), and silently fantasized about one of the girls in here having a similar orientation to herself. That would be nice. Someone who she could touch closer, maybe even kiss, or more... Rayne had to cut that train of thoughts off as well, it would have been a bad first impression to be seen drooling in the main hall, with all these people. Rayne continued her search for pretty girls, undeterred by her thoughts.

"At my age, lad; I feel no need to earn anything from you. I have too little left of my life to worry about such trivial matters." Allan spoke, coughing several times. "All I hope to accomplish in the remainder of my life is to teach you children the value of it, as well as your powers."

Allan detected the taste of blood in his mouth. Even such a short period of acceleration took a strain on his body; which made him long for the past, where he could speed up his movements four times with some effort. Putting his body under that much strain at this age would instantly stop his heart in mere seconds. It was a surprise that it even managed to survive after all these years of labor.

Taking a deep breath, he swallowed the blood that had gathered at the back of his throat and leaned back against his chair.

EVE nodded at Edward's remark. "Yes, he does appear rather rude." She replied, pushing herself up by using her support and finally getting her balance working. It was a surprise she even made it here without falling over.

“Still, you can’t just expect me to respect you immediately just because you are a teacher here, or because you are older than me. In the same way that you don’t have to immediately respect me because I turn up here and fly through the window.” Luca shrugged, and took a breath. His head was still spinning a little from the shard of glass that Shissk had thrown at his head. He saw Allan cough, and swallow back something. “Stai bene ?? Are you alright ??”

Alex rolled his eyes at all drama. Shapeshifters who had multiple forms were so full of themselves. Wondering why he hadn't brought his sword so he could show off, he remembered the reason; because every person he had met at this school had nothing good about them. Creatures were so...annoying. Stretching his shoulder, he stood. Brushing his hair, which he severely needed to cut, out of his eyes, he decided fuck it. Why not talk to the robot and the other weirdo? Walking over, he sat down next to them. "Hey." He had nothing else to do; may as well see if a single manageable person lived here. On the least manageable, Crowley came to mind. Child molester.

Hildegard wandered next to Allan, looking at him with interest and keeping a detached, unsettling smile on her face. Even if he had stopped her robot kicking game, she seemingly didn't bear hate for the old man.

Instead, she just leaned her face next to where he kept his bullets, sniffing the air and recognisi g the smell of calcium powder. Her father used it to create the pseudo-bones that formed lesser homunculi, and she had learned to love that smell.
"Why do you bring powdered bones with you, Mister?" she asked curiosly

Edward saw the older boy walk up and sit down next to him and EVE. "Hi, I'm Edward and this is Eve. What's your name?" He asked, hoping that this guy didn't turn out as bad as some of the other people here.

Alex already hated his upbeat tone. "Alex." Wondering what powers this one had, he sat still and listened. He was an amazing listener, as illustrated by many situations involving annoying people.
This Edward seemed, like any other, annoying.

Recharging sequence complete. Combat systems fully operational. Diverting power to radiant power core.

Having remained stagnant for so many years, EVE secondary power core labored to regulate its energy emission, the control rods struggling to keep the reactions within acceptable bounds. Feeding energy throughout her body, superficial circuits that served a similar function as nerves ran all over her exterior shell, emitting a faint crimson glow that finally faded away once the energy had been equally distributed across her body. This sudden burst of energy made EVE feel significantly better, despite her outdated hardware.

Pulling out the plug from the socket, the wire retracted and slid back into the panel in her lower back like a timid snake before its entrance was sealed away.

"I feel much better now." She uttered, her voice finally having a more human tone to it. "Hello, Alex"

"I'm fine, lad; I may be old but I'm still doing just fine." Allan retorted, straightening his back before looking at the girl. He chuckled at her comment, raised his eyebrow and wondered what was wrong with her. Probably too much sugar.

"I'm not carrying any powdered bones, lass" He said, not having a clue as to what she was asking.

Wondering at the robot sounding so human, he raised an eyebrow for a fraction of a second. "Hello, Eve." Damn it. Women, even the robotic ones, always made him less sociopathic, oddly. Maybe it was the sass in some cases, the warmth of the tone in others, the sarcasm in a few, but they made him talkative and strangely friendly. Which was probably why he liked them so much.
"So what are you two's powers?"

"Oh, sorry then, Mister. Maybe I confused the scent of the calcium in my body with yours!" Hildegard said, giggling. She giggled for a good 10 seconds, before reverting to her usual unsettling smile.

"What do you teach, Mister? You look old. I know that old people are wise, so it is s good choice for a teacher. So, again, what do you teach?" Hildegard asked in a quite curious and inquisitive manner, looking up Allan.

Namekus licked his soon to be clean muzzle in order to clear it of the remains of his meal. Yawning, he laid his head down on his crossed forelegs and watched the drama unfold around him as certain staff members barely avoided eviscerating certain members of the student body. In mere seconds, he had watched a few students making fools of themselves to being silent as their powers were chopped off by a being who seemed to move with incredible speed, and Namekus himself was no slack when it came to speed.

He yawned again, this time breathing through his nose. His eyes widened as a familiar scent pierced his consciousness. Not a friendly scent either, but it was still relatively canine. Not one of his own pack, but of another one. He shook his head, his human side finally pulling free of the wolf demon. Think about this for a second, Wolf. This isn't your home in Asgard. This isn't your father's land. This is a school run by mostly-humans, not by animals. You can't instigate a territorial dispute simply because of who you are, especially not here. These people don't know who or what you are, simply that you are not human. said the Human side. The Wolf snarled at him and remarked I am royalty among wolves! These pathetic beings should know that and realize their place! You are the bastard son of Fenrir. Illegitimate children tend not to have the same status, you mongrel. Faen ta deg! spat the Wolf.

Namekus reasserted himself as the dominant personality. Both of you, shut up. Wolf, Human is right. Human, for the love of Garmr, be quiet! You are everything I don't like about humans! And yet, I am you. Hating yourself is rarely a good sign, Namekus. Wolf? Yes? Go ahead. Wolf snarled again, Faen ta deg!

His form began flowing again, transforming him back into his half and half state. He stood and began sniffing his way over to the other wolf he had scented, his nose high in the air.

"I'll be teaching you all history" Allan explained to the young girl. She induced a strange feeling in his gut, but the old teacher couldn't put his finger on it; it gave him an anxious feeling. His feet tapped onto the antiquated marble flooring, both having withstood the relentless tear of time, although each of them showed signs of deterioration. For a moment his thoughts drifted off to Crowley, who would no doubt experience the same dismay he was going through now, although that wouldn't be for a few decades.

"My power?" EVE replied somewhat surprised. She was to ashamed to admit that she didn't really know her power anymore, or perhaps it was pride? Emotions and feelings were still a foreign subject to her, despite technology's best efforts. It would be best to find out.

Speeding through all of her past exploits, EVE managed to get a basic idea of her powers and limitations. Maybe she should try one of her powers, a non-lethal one. Energy wings seemed pretty harmless.

Something on her back started to emit a glow, followed by two long metal constructs bursting out and spreading out to. With some fantasy, it resembled a crude set of wings, but right now it was merely two long bars sticking out of her back. Only when power was rerouted to these constructs did the wing part - actually, also the energy part - become apparent. Constructed purely out of energy, two angelic wings sprouted from emitters on the metallic bars. By increasing the energy output, she managed to float above the ground for several inches.

Alex looked mildly impressed at Edward. "Ah." Seeing EVE's power, he raised an eyebrow. "Woah. That's rather impressive." He smiled at her, when his advanced nose detected a wolf-like smell. Turning, he saw what looked like a wolf-man. Hair bristled from his arms, and he had a tail, but he most definitely did not look completely wolf; or, for that matter, completely human. Set off by this seemingly infraction on nature, despite there being hundreds of those here, he said quietly, "Hello?"

"The name is Ramius, Allan Ramius." The old man replied; he didn't know why, but he suddenly began to reminisce about the past, during that warm day in October. Summer refuse to give way for Fall, and both Allan and his partner had been sent out to capture a demon. Little did they know that it had possessed a incredible amount of pedestrians, turning them into mindless drones for its twisted goals. They had to kill them all, murder an entire town. It lasted the entire month, one he remembered as Red October. Suddenly he recalled why his thoughts drifted off towards that particular event. Those eyes. The girl's eyes were the same as one of that thing's creations. Homunculi. That demon's twisted acts gave birth to abominations, begging for their miserable lives to end. Those eyes were the same, but this girl's body was near perfection compared to those. It seemed that whomever created her was a very proficient mage.

Namekus's ears swiveled to pick up the soft greeting that the origin of the scent gave. There he is. Go eat him. No. Greet him back, as is normal amongst humans. Namekus quietly reminded them that he was in charge, and he walked over to the being. "You smell canine. Whose legacy are you?" As he spoke, his ears (independent of each other) moved back and forth, constantly picking up and amplifying sounds before swiveling back to catch his reply.

Hilde kept eye contact with Allan, noticing that he seemed to be absorbed in his thoughts. The girl couldn't guess what the old man was reminishing, but she guessed that an experienced mage like him surely would have been capable of identifying homunculi by the particular quirks they possessed. Not caring for whatever Allan was thinking, Hildegard began to talk again.
"Then, I am pleased to meet you, Mister Ramius. My name is Hildegard Von Wulfbern. You may not know my surname, even if I doubt of that, but my family is a quite renowned house of alchemists. I have been sent to study magic there instead of being apprenticed by my own father due to problems in learning certain applications of magic. I am sure that, with personnel experienced as you, I won't have problems." Hildegard said, not detaching her eye from the contact with Allan's one not even for a moment.

Sari-chan had been nervous upon arriving at the school a couple days ago, nervous that she would be singled out and picked on for her non-human appearance, even if the only differences were her cat ears and tail. However, she quickly found those fears assuaged when virtually every other student she came across was even weirder than her. In fact, Sari-chan might even be too human, but that didn't matter to her. No one was attacking her, and that was just great.

During the speech by Crowley-sensei, Sari-chan sat patiently in her seat, enthralled, while her tail wiggled excitedly. This school was going to be even better than she could have ever dreamed! She was certain that Elfen High would be the best thing that ever happened to her. Well, maybe second best. After all, if she never came to Earth, she wouldn't have been able to go to Elfen High to begin with. Then again, maybe her life was better before she came? She couldn't remember that, so she couldn't be sure. Nevertheless, she was getting distracted. She needed to stop that.

By the time Sari-chan had come out of her pondering, stuff had already begun happening, not that she cared to spend a paragraph commenting on it. That would just be lazy writing. It wasn't of particular interest to her, anyways. What was interesting, though, was the food. Sari-chan was quite hungry as she hadn't eaten anything in a whole hour. She had wanted to bring some snacks to eat during the speech, but they were gone before she got to the auditorium. She probably should have brought more, but she ate too much of the ingredients while making them.

Jumping out of her chair, Sari-chan excitedly bounded towards the banquet table and leaped onto it, landing in a large bowl of mashed potatoes that splattered all over the place. Letting out a squeal of happiness, she began chowing down on any food that she could get her hands on, crawling along the table while ignoring the obvious irritation from the other students. The establishment really should have had another table just for her. After all, even after only being here for a couple days, she was already infamous at the cafeteria and universally loathed by the chefs. Though, she really couldn't understand why. Shouldn't they be happy that someone was eating their food?

Eve's wings completely impressed Edward. "Wow Eve that's incredible," he said, continuing to look at her angelic wings until Alex greeted someone else, and Edward turned around to face whoever it was. He was expecting some semi-ordinary(Not completely ordinary of course, for nobody at this whole school was completely normal, and few people were slightly normal in any way. In fact, for all he knew, he was the only one). But Edward definitely wasn't expecting a wolf-man to come walking up to them. Everything about the guy seemed strange, from his fur all over with blood stains on it, to his greeting, to his ears moving around completely different directions.
Seeing the cat-girl devouring plates of food reminded Eddie that he hadn't gotten much to eat, as he grabbed an English muffin, put some jam on it, and started eating it

Fel was rather intrigued by the speech. It seemed that this Mr. Crowley was not someone to be messed with. He would keep that in mind.
Following the large crowd into the lunchroom, he stared at the others. Some of them appeared normal, some not so much, and some felt off.
He watched the one who claimed to be a demon completely tear into his food, and watched some of the others display their powers and other... Unique things...
When he finally got his lunch, he remained quiet and sat a good distance from just about everyone else.
He didn't feel like taking off the cloak that covered his head and face, so he decided to do something that would display his own powers while not requiring him to show his face.
He stared around, and looked at the "food" on his tray. He waited a few seconds for it to start.
Suddenly, his head split apart into a grotesque bunch of tendrils and tentacles, which then grabbed the food and immediately shoved it into a large, gaping maw full of teeth.
He then reverted back to normal, cloak and all, and sat there as if nothing had happened.
