I don't think you've had Trieste, as Serbia had risen fairly early since there was never any Ottoman Rule. Yugoslav (same as Greater Serbia, they're interchangeable) is fairly industrialized and has a rather well-equipped army unlike their WW1 counterparts. Plus, Austria rules your entire Northern part, so your beef would first be with them before you even reach Yugoslav Trieste.

...I don't know man, I just don't know. I'm all for a peace agreement and stuff, but I know for a fact that both Serbia and Italy will act within their own interests. Plus, do you want to attack a nation that's main land area is the Swiss Alps? I kinda don't due to the logistical reasons and that the Austrians will be at every advantage while we just throw soldiers into the meat grinder.

Of course, the reasons for Italy not going with the Triple Alliance is well understood and pretty much makes sense regardless.

Why not? What's the worst they could do? The Italians were somewhat successful in most of their battles against the Austro-Hungarians and Germans . They only lost at Caporetto because of superior German tactics (which was also the same tactics used to great effect on the Western Front as well).

Si. And overpowered? I doubt it. Remember, at the onset of the Italian campaign IRL, the Italian Army outnumbered the Austro-Hungarian Army 3-1. And you also occupy northern Italy, so it is mostly low hills, unlike in the mountainous terrain the IRL campaign was actually fought in.

We follow a doctrine of self-reliance and preparing for the worst. We have fairly good industry, but we're always open for expanding it, as I would like some basics for greater automotive and airplane production than I currently have.

I mean there's no reason to not have things licensed and produced locally or even have a factory built into your country.

I personally plan on licensing either British Lee-Enfields or German Mauser for standard rifle, as well as Fokker planes with H-S engines and modifications.
