Thank you. Even if I did have to do the work in the largest populated area and deal with Romania trying to turn you against me, which seemed a little much. I should tell you about the area you got, but I digress.

Very true. You'd also have to worry about the Serbian-German Pact, and Italy still hating Austria. I'm going to try and be civil to the leaders of Romania with the meeting.

Well, I plan to get in a alliance or a truce with Germany and Italy...Italy can have a nice time getting over the mountains, rivers and forts of Northern Italia when this is the AGE of fruitless warfare.

Eh, that's true as well. Now it's Poland-Serbian-German Alliance, so Austria should naturally be attracted. The Czech person needs to show up sometime too, and we will be a big-happy family.

@Kamchatkalia: well if you will not uphold america's right to the canal, then america will not recognize Colombia's claim to panama.

You could do that; go to Colombia and not comply with Colombian Law. Typically breaking the law isn't advise. We do recognize you're claim to the canal, it's just that you're claim was made with a nonsexist gov't and as such the gov't has transferred control of the canal to Colombian jurisdiction due to current circumstances of the area and the threat the national wellbeing.

but go make your first post, i cant make my move unless you make yours.

Sorry I'm not going to metagame for you. As of right now, in the IC both my nation and most events discussed have not occurred. I'm waiting for a Co-OP to play as Republican Spain and another to play as Socialist Spain, so that I can even begin talking about Colombian independence.

also, what difference does it make if Europe is communist, they wont support you simply because of ideological similarities

Mostly due to the fact that nationalization is one of the most basic principals of both Communist and Socialism, they can be hypocrites if they want to. And what also makes it fun is the fact I never even talked about nationalization at all.

We're not interested in attacking Austria until Spain is settled. We might even walk away with a couple of shiny new territories. Also, the terrain we are fighting in is mostly flat......it's just the rivers we have to worry about. We have no intentions of seizing the Julian Alps nor any alpine areas. We could even negotiate for Genoa.

I don't want to sound impatient but I'm still waiting for our walrus overlord to get everything together for the state visit and a proposed alliance with Belgium, purely to counter the French (and because the French seem much more entertaining to annoy).

And now you're goldbricking, wonderful...

nationalizing present participle of na·tion·al·ize (Verb)
Verb:
Transfer (a major branch of industry or commerce) from private to state ownership or control.
Make distinctively national; give a national character to.

The state no longer recognizes the property of being capable of being a major branch of industry nor commerce as such it is not nationalizing, just confiscating property to state ownership, which some may viewed as nationalizing, but is not in conventional terms.

While they aren't huge mountains like the alps or anything, them combined with the rivers and our many fortifications would make it nearly impossible to get a real edge over us, unless we're grossly outnumbered.

Almaniania has now reserved the Republic of Panama (and thus as an independent entity released from Spain's grasp), because he asked me to do so, and since Colombia has no sign-up sheet (you do need to register for each country you want to play...), I have to give it to him.

Besides that. Like, there's something I'm supposed to be posting in, but for the life of me I've got no idea what it is.

It depends on how many troops you have stationed in the area and whether or not your commanders expect an assault over the mountains. As I said, we can conduct negotiations with regards to Genoa. Both Genoa and Trieste are the only major Italian ports that the Kingdom of Italy doesn't control.

About 20,000 troops, give or take.

We'll allow trading, but we aren't giving you any of our ports.

About that, Romania was largely agricultural in these times, as was most nations. Transylvania produces about 35% of the Romanian economy, with Wallachia producing the remaining 65%. I also have the major oil sources along the base of the Danube-Carpathian Mountains.

Of course, I also have to deal with the population and larger conflict damage since it was the main areas of the Romanian Campaign. That, and Uni seems to favor Austrian Romania than a Serb Romania, for whatever reason.
