Personally, I think it is poor form to just gobble up all those territories like that. This should be a matter of actual RP, not something in the OOC and then coloured in on the map.

Maybe we're having a bit too much OOC for the IC we're doing.

Here how about this; a British-backed Socialist/Communist coup d'etat is initiated in Spain, it distracts Spain from its Colonies, as it becomes more serious the Colombians initiate their Bolivarian Revolution, due to the small army in Colombia it is extreme successful with little causalities, at this point the Brits have Madrid and cut a deal with that French African nation that ends with them giving military aid in return for Morocco, with you getting Northern Morocco for you getting complete control of the Strait of Gibraltar, as of now France also invades forcing the Balboa (what would be the Spanish capital) to capitulate, you scramble to set up a Vichy-esque Spanish gov't (only Socialist/Communist) with it you gain control of Southern Spain, Japan annexes the Philippines, and you and Vichy-esque Spain give me (Gran Colombia) reparations. I think that covers a rough outline of the Spanish situation, also keep in mind its just an idea .

Also I was thinking that towards the end of the coup, the Philippines would revolt and set up a gov't, you invade and (at this point Vichy-esque Spain and the Brits have won and Colombia has demanded the reparations that the Brits promised) the gov't (also Socialist) pleas for the Brits and Spain, but you cut a (secret) deal with them saying you'll help split the, rather heavy, reparations that the Colombians demand in exchange for them turning a blind eye towards their pleas, and whatnot. In the end you get the Philippines at the cost of some money...again it's a rough idea open to revisions.

We already have a trade agreement, lol, so it doesn't matter really.

That and we don't want to have to compete with another foreign power trying to influence Asian affairs. That's our job!
