Spain is gone? THAT MEANS THAT COLOMBIA IS OPEN! I might change nations if possible. IF I can be Colombia I will be willing to RP a revolution in Colombia for its independence, though I would then ask if Brazil could part with Ecuador and that slice of Northern Peru you have? I was thinking taking spain and the spanish african territories, the rest would be up for grabs for who ever wants it and change my nation name to Workers Union of Britain Spain and Morocco. Is this alright?

I'm against the concept of massive national Annexation. I propose that "orphaned" nations have their colonies become independent NPC's. Otherwise, it gives a massivly unfair advantage of the Annexing nation.

Well, what about no annexing the core Spain (Iberia + Morrocco), while the colonies are up for grabs (which is just Colombia+Panama and Philippines, actually)

I'd propose they become independent. To be honest, then its just luck of the draw who can get to them first; strongly favoring American and South Europeans over Northern Europeans and West Asians.

If not, Mesoamerica and I will jointly "stablize" Colombia.

Here how about this; a British-backed Socialist/Communist coup d'etat is initiated in Spain, it distracts Spain from its Colonies, as it becomes more serious the Colombians initiate their Bolivarian Revolution, due to the small army in Colombia it is extreme successful with little causalities, at this point the Brits have Madrid and cut a deal with that French African nation that ends with them giving military aid in return for Morocco, with you getting Northern Morocco for you getting complete control of the Strait of Gibraltar, as of now France also invades forcing the Balboa (what would be the Spanish capital) to capitulate, you scramble to set up a Vichy-esque Spanish gov't (only Socialist/Communist) with it you gain control of Southern Spain, Japan annexes the Philippines, and you and Vichy-esque Spain give me (Gran Colombia) reparations. I think that covers a rough outline of the Spanish situation, also keep in mind its just an idea .

Personally, I think it is poor form to just gobble up all those territories like that. This should be a matter of actual RP, not something in the OOC and then coloured in on the map.
