Honestly, any map defaults are likely my fault; Its been a confusing thirty pages, and I've been doing my best to keep things in order. Brom likely won't come back, and even if he does, you'll likely get your claim from Garwall.

Yeah, I could find your claims in the thread, and it got clearly marked. But I never saw anyone else claim it really, except possibly me(Although I ended up getting Canada)

you aren't to blame, I was already asleep when the guy told you he wanted Australia so I couldn't set you straight, it sounded like you were putting a lot of work in when I went back and read through all the pages I missed. I'm sure I'll get it sorted in the end.

I saw it when I was trawling through all the pages I missed, but I've totally forgotten his name, I know he only had 4 posts and a raving rabbids flag so yeah I have this feeling like we've seen the last of him.

This will all be sorted out when we have an OOC Thread (should I just create one myself)? After that, people can make formal apps and we won't have these arguments.

That leads me to my next question. Population and military size. How should we deal with that?

In all honesty, this event is a real let down. I threw a hissy fit for what, two posts? Then guess what - I moved on to the Thai place because I knew nothing would ever change it. Okay, Neros, chill out. We told everyone, we warned everyone, that these weren't claims - These are nation ideas, and we told people to not get too attached to them. If you're pissed off because you have a Great Plains nation, find a new claim - I'm sure someone would be happy to make a Native American Confederacy or something similar.

Look dude, if you want to go and do a thread where you argue with players over claims, join another P2TM RP. This RP is about co-operation and compromise - Sure, it's shitty getting booted out of the Americas, but you can't fill 4-5 pages of you ranting. It annoys the hell of out everyone else.

I did a rough population by basing it off RL pop and halving it... but if we want properly accurate populations it's going to be hard to get a good estimate. Still, we can get some good facts and figures from wikipedia:

Consider our nations, locations, and AU histories to ensure accurate guesses.

I had two claims totally get out spammed by the rapid acceleration of posting and you just have to check back and repost. 15 pages is at least a day or two that you didn't repost so tough nuts

Besides if your plains USA, it means you have three countries that directly need your grain which will propel you to be wealthy. THey will have to trade their coal and gold or whatever you want for food and thus you could negotiate better returns since food is a need and coal is a want. If you want a piece of South America or Africa go for it just ask and i think most people here will give you some of their land if they knew the confusion that occurred earlier

I, for one, am not going to touch any real life stat sources. I want to build my nation separately from the facts of our timeline. I have researched the max my population can be, that is at modern levels, and am working from that.

Even then, I got a barren wasteland full of either A) Grassland only suited for agriculture, or B) Frozen Tundra.

Is everyone really that hardpressed about this sort of thing? How is it so unlikely for one nation to conquer a large tract of land that would be populated by Indians and Buffalo? Screw all of it, I'll just go with my Thai State.

I swear if even a piece if missing, Garwall.

Here's the updated map, too: Seriously, that's just asinine

I'll write the history up now. Sorry if I fucked up your plans, Sinobritannia. Nowhere else to go at this point. You're involved in my history with technological and diffusion, if you want. Anyway, this nation is pretty much a Japan, adopted Western customs to survive and such. Fairly advanced and centralized, mighty fine Navy due to it's shorelines and Indonesian areas.

Really people, really? You just come back to pick your dog in a fight with me. This was settled roughly 3 posts after I came back and saw what happened. Jesus Christ, keep just thinking I'm being belligerent when the matter was fucking resolved before you showed up.

You in particular. Last post for me? Back in the 20s, that isn't a fucking day, that's a night a sleeping and an active thread sunshine. Be tough shit somewhere else.

I'm assuming Crusaders don't like Tuaregs too much? :(

Having said that I don't want it to be imperialist, my Tuareg probably will be. We'll try and unify a lot of the pastoralists to the south and east under our control, while continuing to industrialise around oases. In this RP, my nation's a lot more technologically advanced than IRL Tuareg, so we WILL have guns. Tuareg with guns. Yeah. Be worried guys :)
