Well, we have a Ticker. You make your own IC thread to deal with your specific need and others will join in on that thread if they have a dog in that fight.

Say you want a War. You make an IC thread along the lines of "Victora Earth War in _____" and you take it from there.

There's a newspaper-like IC up called the Victorian Tickertape IC. That's where you post all the world-wide background and posturing. Once you get a conflict or conference or discussion in a specific theater, you create a separate IC thread, TG it to Garwall, and he'll add it to the OOC thread.

Here's an idea: the growing demand for rubber has led Nigeria to search for international sellers of seeds for Rubber so it can begin to build a new sector of its economy, and build relations worldwide, and perhaps raise the standard of living of its people?

In the morning, I may make a few "general" threads, for diplomacy and trade and such.

Also I have a IC thread idea with Russia though I may be waiting for more alliances to form.

I support this idea. The TickerTape thing can be for general background/posturing for the wars, the wars go on in separate IC threads, but diplomacy and trade get grouped into one consistent thread---Excellent idea.

Many nations probably already have a dedicated agriculture sector that produces a much-needed crop that is key to the world economy. Changing it would probably harm the economy in the short-term, and cause ripples through the world economy.

That was the entire argument, yes. Anyone would have access to just about anything at this point. Hell, even back in the 1600s it would have been this way due to the Dutch, Portuguese, Arab, Spanish, English, and Chinese trade networks that all were intertwined and traded with eachother.

Hopefully, that will make this world more dynamic. So if a nation's crop is burned out during a war or a famine in Nation A, we'll get some hungry kids in Nation B, and a coalition of nations X, Y, and Z, to aid in the food shortage in Nation B.

Yeah almost anyone could get the SEEDS, but I don't think the tree can grow everywhere. The climate and land in my empire works for growing the trees.

Ah, ok then, that'll be pretty good for my economy then i suppose.

Also i believe the Ryukyu's and possibly southern Kyushu may be possibilities for small domestic production. I would just have to research more.

Think you read that wrong. I meant a few General-themed threads, one for Diplomacy (communiques, official declaration of wars, cordial invitations, etc), and one for Trade (trade proposals, events concerning international trade, stuff like that).

i think you may have read wrong. That was a response to the first part of your post. When you said 'build relations worldwide' about a possibility of Benin i was asking if he has said he is working to open up more to the west.

Well The Benin Empire is great for growing rubber trees and I don't think many European nations are so we'll trade rubber to them unless they have slaves or colonies

Well, since there really isn't much for me to do at the moment concerning international relations, I'll just post about the Bulgarian government forcefully sending ethnically Turkish and Russian citizens in the empire to Internment Camps in southern Greece and eastern Romania. That'll show off the bastardy nature of the Bulgarians just fine without making too much of a problem.

Translation: That'll piss em off. :p

The Bulgarians hate the Middle east and Asia due to past invasions from the Mongols and Ottomans which didn't fare well for their future.

Well, the Afghans are neither Arabic, Mongolic, Ottoman, Turkish, or any combination there of. They are Pashtuns, so hating them for something others did really doesn't make much sense.

Yes, but the Bulgarians are bastards. :p

Besides, I said I WOULD send a diplomat. If it were the Ottomans or even the Russians, we'd have refused their offer almost instantly.

Plus, you'd have to be the ones to contact us. The Afghan Emirate isn't exactly at the top of our list of nations to deal with at the moment.
