Dietrich rolled his HE-100 over and dived into the soon-to-be furball, both sides began their initial passes.
"Weiss 2, cover my six. We are going to hunt some bombers, Weiss 3 and 4, engage the enemy fighters. Make sure no one ruins our day, ja?"

"Copy that, Herr Zimmermann!"

As the heinkels engine roared, he selected the lead wellington as the target. He only sought to wound the beast however.
His guns spitted out shells into the crafts wing, he kept going, flying below the bomber and he pulled the stick into his gut. The Heinkel nosed up, Gaining altitude quickly.

Two questions:
A. The SS are pretty lax on ranks, I guess.
B. What kind of elite Luftwaffe-pilot-working-with-the-SS doesn't shoot to kill? Hell, for all he knows, those bombers are up to some seriously no good shit.

Cutler never had to go through that - he went the commissioned officer route. He had military connections, so he could basically get a primo commission with a General's staff by basically knowing the right people/knowing how to flatter them/graduating from the right public schools/having the money to back it up. You barely even need to know how to fire a gun if you have all that going for you.

Why they created the Officer Training Corps after WW1 to weed that out and produce officer who knew what they were actually doing.

I know, part if if remained during National Service in the 1950s which despite everyone being conscripted as enlisted men if you happened to have gone to the same school as the interviewing officer well, you may not get out of doing recruit training but you were able to get some choice postings.

How long have you been playing KSP? How far rather have you gotten? What were you trying to do on top o that all. I don't see anything significant about the location nor the surroundings..

I was under the impression that OTCs were formed after the 2nd Boer War in the Haldane Reforms as a part of the drive for national efficiency.
I mean, one OTC even has a Battle Honour from South Africa.

A couple of months, but I don't play that often, and I only have the demo version. And I've landed on the Mun (though due to a mishap, couldn't return, as the ascent/decent stage had to be jettisoned), but the mission I screenshotted wasn't a Munar flight. Rather, I was testing a new design (and a kickass playlist, with several amazingly appropriate songs), and just kept flying straight up. I actually reached escape velocity with plenty of fuel to spare. As I'd accidentally gotten myself stuck in heliocentric orbits with no chance of returning home before, I had to do a retro burn to keep from flying out of Kerbin's grasp. Really, my trajectory could only be more accurately described as a really, really, really high lob than an orbit per se (especially as it never went around Kerbin). It took me 4 days to reach apogee at 76,000,000m (for those of you who don't play, the Mun is about 11,500,000m), and 5 days from there to get back. About halfway to apogee, I realized that I'd be coming in too hot to make a successful landing unless I did a burn during re-entry (luckily, I had more than enough fuel to sufficiently slow myself down). After I landed and took the screenshot, I modified the design slightly, to make it capable of landing and returning from the Mun, as well as giving it more monopropellant. I've yet to test the modified design. [/aspiring aerospace engineer]

Cambridge University had a OTC style unit form in 1803 as that University's Rifle Volunteers (basically the TA of the day and age) which would go on to fight in South Africa alongside the Suffolk Regiment. The OTC came about in 1906 to address the problem of a shortage of officers in the Reserve forces as part of the Haldane Reforms which also saw the TA come into being replacing the old Yeomany, Rifle Volunteer Corps and the Militia that had existed before..

Nice work, please tell me you are using the racks to give yourself starting height alongside a safety buffer from the ground... on top of thta, if you want help in KSP rocket designs, I could definitely help. I was in demo for quite some time before a friend got me the game. He actually had two copies: his and the free one KSP sent him. Do you have struts -the structural braces- for this demo? I know the demo differs depending on where you got it.
