So what exactly are you envisioning with the wingman thing? Would these essentially just be a second character under the control of one of the RPers? That's my conception of the idea, anyway. Just want to make sure I understand.

That's pretty much spot on what I was thinking, we could each have characters like Commander Noble. That way if there's a week where everyone's busy with schoolwork or something I could do a post with some dialog between me and my wingman instead of just sitting on my hands waiting for you to post. Or if it's a ground op, me and my wingman could be off sabotaging a target while you're away.

I think I shall allow one wingman per person.
HOWEVER:

- Be sure to be willing to write for them.

So go ahead, and I'll take a look at them once they're in.

Name: Henry Tatouer
Age: 25
Rank: Corporal USAAF, (Technically regular Army since its before 1941, transferred over to RAF)
Physical Description: Half African and Half Native American, Henry has a dark skin color. Clean shaven with jet black hair, very ripped build. Stands about 6'3 and weighs 205 pounds.
Country of Origin: United States
Flight/Flight Combat Experience (good sources for experience could be the Spanish Civil War, maybe stunt pilot training, or simply previous Air Force experience): Simple Air Force training
Ground Combat Experience (Highly recommended, but not entirely necessary - this can be trained): An excellent melee fighter.
Specialties (air or ground - communications, demolitions, disguises, languages, etc.): An excellent tracker and hunter. Deadly accurate with a bow and arrow. But who would give him one? Very evasive pilot as well.
RP Experience (not necessary, but helpful) OP for Assassins Creed: Aftermath, numerous NS related RPs. Oh and that mess I made with Walking Dead RP, I learned from that though.
Personal History/Bio (more than one line please):
Born in Lawton, Oklahoma to a Comanche mother and a African-French father, Henry's father was doctor who was often mistreated for his color. With his practice dying and have no money to leave the states, he traved to Lawton to help with Native American illnesses. Where he met Henry's mother, a young Comanche farmer. The two devolped a relationship and Henry's father established a permanent residence. The two bore a child in which they named Henry Nacomah Tatouer. The tribe elders trained Henry as a skilled hunter, while his father always opened him up to new technologies and innovations.
One of these was the airplane, which intrigued young Henry the most. When Henry was 16 his father died of a heart attack and his mother died in a hunting accident as presumed by the white men. Henry was the. Raised by the tribal elders, Henry left at 24 and joined the Army, too much distaste to his tribe. After experimental training in aerial combat, Henry was transffered to the RAF by his superiors. One because of his race and two because the Army had no use for "Flying [Insert Racial Slur]". Henry hopes to make his name in the RAF as an accomplished pilot.

Uhhh I hope I'm not late or anything....
And I hope I am somewhat historically accurate with my info.

And you're not late at all! We've still got 5 years of heavy fighting ahead of us, you might just say we've barely started, if we intend to actually get to '45.

Yay! Glad to join, I think Henry has an awesome name
Nacomah is "Wanderer" in Chomanche and Tatouer is a variation of "Eagle" in French. The "Wandering Eagle"
:D
Maybe we can fit that in somewhere!

Sorry for double post!
But hey Tilt!!
I'm pretty sorry I made a ruckus in the Walking Dead, but that was learning experience! Most of my RP experience is for NS related issues and video game type deals. Plus my knowledge of RPing wasn't that good, but the Assassins Creed RP I made and studying other RP's has made me alot better!

Glad to hear it! I saw the AC RP, looked pretty well done.

Also: the latest two recruits have been added to the roster, and a stupid oversight the I made months ago has been fixed: pictures are now acceptable in lieu of a description! Which I was always OK with and should've actually made clear!
So if you guys want to go back and edit some into your apps, or use pics in the future for wingmen and stuff, by all means feel free.

Well, we're kind of in between operations now, and I'm reformatting a whole bunch of ES stuff. The bars are going to get scrapped in favor of something different and a bit easier to fit into the plot in the next day or so.
So I advise you to hang tight for a little while until then.
And yeah, I think pictures work way, way better than descriptions, in general. I'm not going to be doing one for Captain Page, as I really can't decide who he looks like, so I guess a vaguer description works best.
But Lieutenant Alix Noble is, as mentioned earlier, Keira Knightley.

Sorry to interrupt, but I noticed in the AC RP that no one is in Prussia, right? Maybe I will sign, if someone is in Prussia.

There are two others in Prussia right now, but is it buzzing with activity? No, but, after 1527 which will mark the end of AC: Aftermath, Ivan the Terrible will become the center of attention. So I would make an Italian character and wait for the next AC episode.

Right. One-off NPCs don't really need an app - if they have something important to do, just send me a tg or post here and I'll give you permission.

Cause it would be really cool if Henry could get his hands on a Hawker Hurricane MK IIA Series I.

To some degree. It has to fit the era - no one gets 262s and Mustangs yet.
But a Hurricane II - that's definitely possible in the next few ops or so. As of this moment, it's Spitfire Vs.

Well I believe the Hurricane II goes into testing around June and enters service in September 1940.
And Henry does have test pilot experience.... I guess we'll wait and see.

In the spirit of applications/wingmen, here's the app for Major Konrad von Sporrenburg. Noble's will be coming soon after, and his father Lothar will also be a recurring character:

Name:
Konrad von Sporrenburg
Age: 32
Rank: Major
Physical Description/Picture:
Image

Country of Origin: Germany
Flight/Flight Combat Experience (good sources for experience could be the Spanish Civil War, maybe stunt pilot training, or simply previous Air Force experience): Fighter pilot training, saw combat in the Condor Legion, winning 3 kills
Ground Combat Experience (Highly recommended, but not entirely necessary - this can be trained): Some experience fighting hand-to-hand in the streets of Germany, some ground combat seen in Poland.
Specialties (air or ground - communications, demolitions, disguises, languages, etc.): An unparalleled combat soldier, and an expert with many weapons. Knows German, English, and some French.
RP Experience (not necessary, but helpful): Rather unnecessary.
Personal History/Bio (more than one line please):

Born in Munich in 1908, Konrad became aware of man's inherent cruelty at a young age. He was the scion of a fairly large, well-to-do German noble family, and his father, Lothar von Sporrenburg, was a Lieutenant in the Kaiser's Army when war broke out. His formative years were full of notices of the deaths of uncles, cousins, and family friends while at the front, facing the French Army, the BEF, and the Czarist Russians, as well as a great deal of economic hardship brought on by the British blockade of Germany. When the war finally ended in the fall of 1918, Konrad finally had time to spend around his father - whom the war had changed for the worse. He had won many decorations, had been promoted, and had managed to survive the meat-grinder of the Western Front for four years, but Germany's ultimate loss had embittered him and filled him with hatred.

Lothar blamed everyone for Germany's fall and defeat - the British, French, Americans, and Russians, of course, but also leftists and communists, the churches, trade unions, many other noble families, but especially ethnic minorities, and of those, especially the Jews. He vented his vitriol and anger to anyone who would listen. And Konrad and his brothers, who had lacked a true father figure until now, hung on his every word. And when a political demagogue named Hitler began to rise to prominence in Germany, the von Sporrenburgs were among his earliest supporters. Lothar marched with Hitler in the Beer Hall putsch, and was arrested alongside him, although he got only a month in a low-security prison for the crime. This only elevated his hero status further in the eyes of his sons.

And so, as his family became ever more welded to Hitler's machine, Lothar became one of the Nazi elite. He became a fanatic Party member, and a friend of many of the future Nazi leaders such as Himmler and Goering. He was one of Himmler's hand-picked first recruits for the SS, and helped strategize the purge of the Storm-Troopers in 1934, eventually becoming a General of the SS. And of course, when they came of age, his sons followed in his footsteps of service to the new Nazi state: Heinrich became a U-boat crewman, Franz became an Army officer, Gerhard became a bomber pilot in the Luftwaffe - and Konrad, the eldest, joined the SS. He was a natural choice - he looked perfectly Aryan, and he had seen fighting before as a teen, as one of the pro-Nazi mobs attacking Jewish businesses and fighting the opposing Communist mobs. He not only trained to be one of Hitler's elite soldiers, he also trained as a fighter pilot, becoming accredited on the ME109. He fought in the Condor Legion in Spain as a pilot, at one point against an International volunteer named Robert Page (the dogfight ended in a tie when both sides ran out of ammo). He next saw combat in Poland, as the leader of an elite SS platoon known as Sonderkommando 1. They became known quickly for their efficiency, loyalty, and utter brutality to the soldiers they fought. His father was very proud.

Now, Konrad is gunning for Excalibur Squadron after his humiliation and wounding in Paris during Operation Guillotine. He will be a dangerous foe, for sure...

Oh no, that's totally fine. Introduce those as you want.
Only recurring combat rp characters and stuff like that really need apps.

It would have to be a really, really good app, and you'd have to be really willing to work within the RP to make your character work. And I don't think we can get any more "groups" of villains, Nox and Sporrenburg's SS men have us full to the gills of those.

OK, it freaking figures. I admit I can't find a decent picture for Page after a long time of looking, then it hits me:

It's...perfect, actually.
