Sabre. The grandson of the best Allied fighter of WWII, and the world's largest producer of MiG-15 parts.

Yeah, all you Brits have got the wrong end of it.

Gren, I think, is the closest to the right answer - the Sabre is undeniably hotter than hell. It's either that or the Tomcat for my pick of sexiest post-WW2 jet.

i think the kill ratio for sabre pilots was 2/1. i could be wrong.

For me, the F/A-22 comes second closest, followed by the F-15 and then the F-4.

But hot damn, the things I'd do to the Sabre if I could...

Kill ratio was 4/1 over MiG Alley.

It actually was for the war total, not over MiG Alley - my mistake:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loss_exchange_ratio

The ratios were totally, seemingly irretrievably skewed over MiG Alley - USAF claims 10 to 1, which is pretty unlikely, and the Soviets claim 3.4 to 1 in their favor, which is flat-out impossible.

It depends who you read. I've seen claims anywhere between 10:1(USAF) and 1.3:1 (RAND).

Also, I maintain that

Is the best looking fighter since the Spitfire.
