But seriously, you would basically have to tow one out of there since you wouldn't know how to fly one.
Neither did Jimmy Patterson know how to fly a stealth bomber.
Or [unnamed hero] from Heroes of the Pacific know how to fly a Kate, Sally, or Zero.
But they flew them.
Jet Aircraft are a whole another ball game from propeller based air craft. But point taken.
It's not hard for an experienced pilot to learn how to fly a plane back to base, that's simple. Flying it in a fight would be another story.

I.e., he'd be at the top and the rest of us would basically treat each other as equals, more or less? Since this is such a mixed group with pilots from every armed service branch and more or less the same experience level, I can't really see us trying to outrank each other. Cos otherwise, I think it'd get confusing real fast.

Well, for the squadron logo, I was thinking for it to be in the general shape of this logo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No._50_Squadron_RAF.
It would say "Excalibur Squadron" on top (instead of the number on the side denoting the squadron), and "Libertatem Scriptor Defensores" on the bottom, for the motto. In the middle, it would have a winged sword facing upwards. The winged sword would be in gold, on a red background. I'm also thinking that the outer ring where "... Squadron" is printed could be in gold text, with a blue background. Does that make sense?

Looks like it's Red Tails.
Alright, Heinz's new nickname is now 'Pretty Boy'.

Lancearc wrote:Name: Thorston Fassbinder
Age: 30
Rank: Hauptmann (captain)
Physical description: Caucasian, dirty blonde hair, blue eyse, slender build. He stands at 5' 11", and has a fairly noticeable burn mark on the left of his neck received after a close encounter with an AA battery during the Spanish Civil War.
Country of origin: Germany
Flight/Flight combat experience: Having been in the Luftwaffe for two years prior to the Spanish Civil War, Thorston has extensive experience in piloting his aircraft. A total of 3 confirmed aerial kills in the Spanish Civil War.
Ground Combat Experience: Only knowledge of how to evade capture when downed behind the enemy lines. Basic hand-to-hand.
Specialties: He is an extremely aggressive fighter pilot, and will not hesitate to put his plane and himself in direct danger while attempting to down an enemy. However, he is also a smart pilot, and will not perform an overly-aggressive move against an enemy that would likely spell his end unless there was no other option. He can speak English somewhat fluently.
RP Experience: Yo bro.
Personal history/Bio: Born to a pub waitress and a veteran of the First World War, Thorston lived a fairly simple life in Aachen, Germany. When Hitler first came to power, Thorston and his parents supported the Fuhrer in his crusade to restore Germany to it's former glory and overcome the crippling Treaty of Versailles. However, they were not fanatical supports of Hitler, and when his anti-semetic nature became clearly apparent, they no longer supported him. As such, Thorston does not fly so much for Fuhrer as he does for Vaterland.
