For now, just because it was easier, I revived Gold flight to house all of you, but I imagine you'll get spread around to the others once the admin situation changes.

Well, now Jonah needs to get to his gun camera footage before anyone else and burn it to destroy the evidence of his shooting the German COMBATANT who was attempting to flee to safety among his people. Also, I'm sitting high and to the right about 2,500 meters out. Essentially, my guy hopes no one is going to notice him so that way he can sit up high and wait for the Kraut to come out. He doesn't actually plan to return from this fight.

Sortie to Hell: Part II; Shadows of the Night

May 2nd, 1937
15 Miles South of Albacete, Spain
2350 Local Time


The BMW sped along the paved road, one of the surprisingly few James was able to find outside a city in Spain. Lt. Abram and Mike were on their way to Albacete, HQ of the International Brigades, as directed by a Republican officer in Cartagena. Once there, the staff would help the two get to their assigned airfield outside Valencia. As the car climbed a hill, rumbling and several voices could be heard, probably emanating from the other side. "Stop, stop." whispered Mike, as James pulled off to the side. Picking up his binoculars, he walked up to the top of the hill and put the object to his face. There was a small village, filled with men with guns, trucks and tanks. Two transport planes sat in a field off to the side which, along with the village, were illuminated like day with temporary floodlights.

"No." James uttered. "No, no, no. This can't be right." Mike looked over at him, "What is it?" James lowered his binoculars. "Italians." he said. "This shouldn't be, though. They shouldn't be this far into Republican territory. How the hell did they-" Lt. Abram was interrupted by the butt of a rifle slamming into the back of his head and, as his consciousness faded, a sack covering his face.

North of Madrid
1200 local time

The truck rumbled along the cobblestone town road. Thunder boomed in the distance and it was dark, yet the air was hot and no rain fell. Though he was awake now, James still had a sack over his head and his hands were tied together. Suddenly, the truck hit a large bump and voices could be heard. The sack was ripped of of Abram's head and he found himself face-to-face with an Italian soldier, aiming a Beretta submachine gun at his chest. "Venire!" yelled the soldier as he pulled the American up and out of the truck. James found himself in a courtyard, surrounded on all sides by a 2-story medieval building, and in the center a tall square tower, which also looked medieval. It did not look safe, with modern supports added on the sides of the building, which was wider at the top then the bottom.

"Venire!" the Italian repeated as he was led through a door in the perimeter building. The room was made of cement, with a single darkened window on one wall. In the center was a table and two chairs, one of which the soldier chained James to. A few long minutes later, another man walked through the door. He wore an Italian general uniform, had dark olive skin, and a shaved beard. "Greetings." the man said. "My name is Alfonso Orlando. Welcome to Camp Asilo del Rey. During your stay here, I would like to think of you as my 'guest', rather than my prisoner. In return, I hope you will think of me as your 'host' rather than your warden." James looked at him with a surprised face. This man is insane! Orlando continued. "I might add, it would be best you didn't even think of leaving. Not only would that be rude to your host, but the OVRA will track you down. I will make sure of it." Alfonso stood back up and opened the door. "Enjoy your stay." were his last words before leaving.

Though the P-40 is one of the few American planes that I like.

And then there's the irony of having one of the most famous Allied insignias of World War II having actually been German in origin; some RAF Warhawk/Tomahawk pilots in North Africa either managed to come upon photos of or clashed in battle with shark mouthed Bf-110s'. They found the idea badass and cool, and the rest is history.

Perhaps it's actual intended purpose by the British is to presumably deny the increasingly belligerent US factions within 319 a potential sense of independent operation, which runs the chance of potentially jeopardizing traditional command and control within His Majesty's armed forces.

No, seriously: unlike their European counterparts whom fielded entire regiments and divisions of troops that were colonial subjects (i.e the UK's many Indian divisions, and the French Colonial Forces), the Japanese Army had actually restrained units consisting of colonial natives to companies and battalions dispersed among primarily Japanese ethnic regiments and divisions. This was to smother obvious chances of mutinies and defections, as Imperial General Headquarters actually had the sense of perspective to expect them given their style of ruling the empire.

Judging from the squadron listings as of now, it appears that Vegesack , who is 35 at the time of Highwire, is currently the oldest squadron member whose player is active; technically, Nightkill's Khan is, standing at 47, but I'm pretty sure he's (Khan) just there for shits and giggles. 

This means that he is Page's elder by eight years; considering the fact that the latter's birthday is October 5, and that he was 25 at the time of his initiation as Captain and Operation Lancer in late September 1939 - Page would be 27 by the time of Operation Highwire in January 1941.
(35 - 27 = eight)

Sergeant:- This is the lowest rank that could fly aircraft in the RAF, alot of the pilots in the Battle of Britain were of this rank.

Given this account, Vegesack would now be the lowest ranking squadron member, being outranked by pretty much everyone, including army St.Sgt Smythe.
