Jill was in Grimm City, having just arrived from Destinti. Work was scarce in most of the kingdoms, and even in the forests there was no work to be had as a lumberjack, or at least not for a girl. Generally, the grunt work was kept for males. Even when she was a kid, Jack had always carried more water in heavier pails. It was just the way it worked, despite Jill being stronger and a little older. Still, Grimm City was always bustling, and she'd heard there were hundreds of opportunities for jobs. Hopefully, she could find one, and then she'd be able to finally escape her poverty.

Looking around, though, there hadn't been much opportunity. It seemed that every position was either full or something Jill wasn't proficient at. There had been an opening for a painter, but she wasn't good with small things. Someone had been hiring for a nanny for their children, but Jill hated children. A tavern was nearby - The White Snake - and she headed for it. Perhaps there'd be an opening for a waitress, and even if not, she was hungry, and the food there should be affordable.

The Sparrow chuckled. That's what they'd always say. "Revenge" this and "Never want money again" that, blabity-blabity-bla-bla-bla. "No, I know what you can do, Piper. I don't want money. Any insect, rodent or lizard in the country, I want brought to me for food. Maybe some kids too, I'm in a "mean" mood today, plus they taste like pigs. And, I still want some of whatever land you manage to capture in this "revenge" scheme of yours. "The Avian Empire of The Sparrow" has a nice ring to it, don't'cha think?" He reclined on his chair, smiling and raising his left talon for a shake. "Is it a deal?"

Wilhelm had sprung into action after the Beast had been shot. Jumping into a crouch with his cloak already about him, he swung the crossbow into his hands and utilized both the darkness of the forest and the shooter's supposed preoccupation with the Beast in order to slip away into the forest. He had every intention of flanking the shooter, and so that is what he did. Traveling with baited breath and silent steps, he crept through the forest like a shadow in the darkness, moving with steady pace towards the point where he saw the flash of the musket and its deafening report. It was not long before he had found the spot where the shooter had fired: indeed, there was a fresh aroma of smoke and gunpowder that was a dead giveaway from musket fire. Crouching low, he studied the ground and found a trail of freshly-tousled leaves that marked where the shooter had gone.. towards the road.

Who in their right mind would charge an enraged creature such as the Beast? pondered Wilhelm as he raised his crossbow and followed the trail. He saw the red-cloaked figure ahead and held his breath, moving carefully towards it. He rose, feet making nary a sound as he approached, and leveled the crossbow to the back of the short figure's head.

"I wouldn't move if I were you," he hissed.

Red stopped, hearing the man's warning. She had noticed before that he had a crossbow, and she realized that he was most likely aiming it at her. Dropping the Flintlock, whose shot had missed the Beast, Red sighed. She had concentred too much in trying to take down the Beast, ignoring the potential flaking moves that the man could have executed. Still, she held the bayonet firmly in her right hand, glaring at the Beast in a challenging manner.

"Who are you, and why do you travel with such a ravenous monster?" she asked with an impetuous tone, almost not caring for the actual gravity of the situation.

"My name is Wilhelm Grimm," he replied with a snarl, glaring at the murderous girl, trying to fit her in to a particular story, "you might have heard of me, but most likely you have not. I have my ideas on who you are, but that does not matter. I am here from a far-off world, one where you and the Prince here only exist as stories. I travel with him because I know that he is not a murderous beast, he is misunderstood, a man cursed."

OOC: Lol I guess you guys didn't read my earlier post, now it's going to be awkward

Jack sheathed his blade and smiled at Wilhelm with a smile, "I'm Jack, and what is the name of this world you have come from." He was interested about who Wilhelm really was and if he came from a different world, why was he in their world, and why does he think they are just stories.

"Firstly, I am totally not a fictional story, and the same applies to the blade of my knife, Wilhelm!" Red retorted, even turning towards him, shotting another glare. In Red's opinion, he surely was a madman, given to his liking to escort a raging monster and blurt that he was from another world and that she and the Beast were fictional characters in his world. Also, who the hell in the Kingdoms of Grimm would have had a surname akin to the name of the land?

"Secondly, why should I believe you more than the autorithies of the council of Grimm City? Does the dubious word of a stranger carry more truth that the giant bounty on your prince's head?" Red added, standing her ground.

She turned for a moment, noticing the other individual who had just approached them. "Jack? Only Jack? I heard that someone with that name once killed a giant. Still, this guy is either enough fearless or stupid to approach us in such a tense situation..." she thought

Wilhelm glanced to the man with the sword, not knowing who he was as Jack from the story Jack & The Beanstalk was never described physically. Giving the man a precursory look, Wilhelm nodded and lowered his crossbow, stepping back from the girl.

"Where I come from is called Earth. It is a world without magic, witches, the fae, or great Beasts, it is a world of mundane people, of the ordinary. But there are stories, legends, and lore abundant in my world.. stories like La Belle et la Bête, The Beauty and the Beast. Like Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and Cinderella. All of these stories, as far as I can deduce, are real here. This book," Wilhelm said, taking out his leather-bound book, The Tales of the Brothers Grimm, "contains all of them that my Brother and I have collected. I do not know how, but the Book has transported us here, to this world."

Outside Grimm City

Robin Hood was lost. He walked tiredly, he'd been walking for over a day without sleep. He carried nothing but his bow, a quiver of arrows and his sword. He hadn't expected to end up like this so he had no food and had been surviving on berries and what game he could kill. He didn't know how long he'd been walking for. It had taken him at least a day to get beyond the tracking distance of the Sheriff's men and he felt like he'd been walking for at least a week. He sighed, continuing to trudge towards the city in the distance. He had no idea what it was. It was certainly not Nottingham. Could he have walked far enough to reach York? No, that was impossible, he'd been going west, not north. He didn't care what city it was, he just needed to get back to Sherwood and someone in their might know the way.

He spotted something in the corner of his eye. There was a small group of figures, one very large, another in a red hood, who seemed to be having some sort of argument. he approached wearily, his hand on his sword, the distance being too short to use his bow effectively. "Is everything all right here my friends?" He asked, smiling and putting on a charming voice, despite his tiredness.

Noticing that Wilhelm had produced a book from himself, Red rushed next to him, trying to grab the volume.
"Really? Let me check so! I want to see if I am in it!" she yelled, struggling against the man to take an hold of the book. While not a ruthless glory chaser, Red still liked to be respected and recognized all around. Being included in a book would have been a great honor for her, other than a thing to be vain of.

Due to her struggle with Wilhelm, she didn't actually notice Robin's presenced in the forest. Heck, that small and secluded countryside road was slowly becoming full of people...

After eating his fill and drinking so much he is crosseyed Olav decided it was nap time. "wake me up when it is time to leave". He stretches across the bar and promptly falls asleep. Every so often he makes a small snorting nose and holds the giant tree club as if it was nothing across his chest.

The Beast growls softly as he feels his wounds heal slowly, sighing a bit as he sees The little girl in the red hood go over to Wilhelm, he gets up from the ground and he goes over to both of them.

"You know...you are lucky I don't kill children Little one" said Beast, looking down at the girl and huffing a bit.

Releasing the book so that Red could look through it, he glared at her.

"Do be careful with that," he said, a touch of anger in his voice, "it is a priceless volume."

Turning, he looked at Robin Hood and almost burst out laughing. By the Gods! It was bloody Robin Hood, what next, the Three Blind Mice? Today was turning out to be quite the adventure, indeed!

"Perfectly fine," said Wilhelm with a smile, "and you must be.. Robin Hood, right? Yes, you must be Robin Hood."

Red looked through the book, finally finding a page somewhat relating to her. Strangely, it seemed that she could read German without problems.
"What? I never wore a red cap! A lumberjack saving me? Lies!"
Angrily closing the book, she tapped on Wilhelm's back. "Sorry, sir, but I feel that the story on your book tells of a totally different girl. It is only partially similar to my life."

Taking the book back, Wilhelm raised an eyebrow at her.

"So you are Little Red Riding Hood," said Wilhelm with a half-smile, "that explains so much. You see, the tales in this book are very, very old. They were passed down by word of mouth for centuries, going on from generation to generation. It is only recently that myself and my brother, Jacob, have written them down. As such, some things would certainly become skewed or lost in translation."

"I am known here? That is a shock I don't even know where 'here' is." Robin said, slightly shocked but smiling all the same. "You wouldn't happen to know the way back to Sherwood forrest would you? I seem to have gotten lost and the merry men are probably getting quite concerned." He asked, with a mixture of embarrassment at getting lost and concern for his friends.

Then another person spoke, apparently wondering where he was from. "I do not know what this 'Land of Grimm' is. I am Robin Hood, of Sherwood Forrest."

"I...understand." Red said, calming a bit. Slowly, she started to think that Wilhelm's words made some sense, even if she was still a little untrusty of that stranger.
"Still, I am not little anymore, Wilhelm. Maybe somewhat short, height-speaking, but not young. It has been years since the day I slashed my way out of a wolf's stomach to save me and my grandmother. "

You are from Sherwood Forest, a place I know very well from the stories I have here. I am from Earth, where these stories originated."

Turning now to Red, he looked at her for a moment and then smiled.

"I could tell that, Mademoiselle Red," he said, "partially by the way you attacked us, amongst other things."

"I'm not here to play Politics...besides, I'm no prince...not anymore. I'm on a quest, someone was stolen from me by Lord Galhan, I'm here to take that person back..one way or another" growled The Beast.

Since the tones of the conversation were becoming less and less tense, Red smiled in kind, before adjusting her hood. The confrontation with the Beast had moved it a little, exposing plenty of her blonde hair.
"Well, this one wasn't one of my best fights. I made quite a lot errors, other than wasting precious gunpowder. Speaking of which, do you have guns as mine, on...Earth? Judging by your crossbow, it doesn't seem like it..."

"I see." Said Robin, nodding slowly. "I assume you haven't found a way to get back yet then?" He frowned momentarily. "Where is Earth? Is it in Yorkshire? Wales? London? I'm afraid I can't seem to tell where you're from by your accent, it's unlike any other I've heard before. Have you been away on crusades or something like that? Or are you foreign? A Scotsman perhaps? What's all this stuff about me being in stories anyway?"

"Of course we do," replied Wilhelm with a nod, "this is simply all that I had on my person when I arrived here, through whatever means took me here. Excuse me for being under-armed, I would certainly have prepared myself better should I have been aware of an impending anomaly."

Looking towards the Beast, Wilhelm's eyes narrowed as he finally realized what had happened.

"Galhan stole Belle from you, didn't he? That is why you are searching for her."

Now turning towards Robin, he laughed slightly and shook his head.

"No, my friend. London, Wales, and Yorkshire are all a part of England, which is on Earth. I am from Hesse, Germany.. perhaps you have not heard of it, then. I have not found a way back to Earth, but you are a man of legend! You seem to be the only figure of lore that my brother and I have collected that seems to have historical root. But I digress."

The Beast nods and he frowns hard, images flash before his mind and eyes as he remembers his love Belle being stolen from him during the bloody and epic battle that happened at his castle. He remembers her screaming out his name as Galhan and a few of his still living men rode off through the mists of the forest in front of his castle.

Her face....that look of fear and sadness haunts him very time he tries to sleep or when he fights. It's a curse upon his feral mind that he wants to end.

"That is why I kill...and I won't stop till I get Belle back or when Galhan is dead." said The Beast.

(The White Snake Tavern)

Glancing about, Grendel noticed that the Big Bad Wolf's nostrils slightly flared. He had caught the same scent that Grendel had noticed. it was the scent of blood. But it wasn't the scent of an open wound. It was subtle and exciting in a manner other than food.

The Big Bad Wolf noticed Grendel's knowing smile and returned it.

"Excuse my cutting in, dear host," Grendel interjected while the Sparrow was dealing with the Piper, "but are we expecting the arrival of a woman? "

There, thought Grendel, that ought to do something to tone down the premature competition for, he looked at the smiling wolf, "top dog" position.
