Why you all want her dead? I mean, she is a real person, so I really can't wish for her to die...

You know I'd really like to know what he said?
I agree with Monfrox. I mean it really destroys the realism aspect to this game and I know we've done a lot of things that don't make sense, but honestly... Taylor Swift?
Another reason I'm against it is because if your playing as a real life person wouldn't you have to stay true to their personality? We don't know how Taylor Swift would react in a real zombie apocalypse. That's the point of making up characters with their own personality and story. I mean all you had to was make Shelton the boyfriend of a famous singer that wasn't really famous in real life. You could just have made character based off of Taylor Swift instead of actually using her. It just hurts me... hurts me deep...
Oh, and nothing against Taylor Swift in real life. I'm sure she's a nice lady.

Wait... playing as a walker? Uhh... that sounds silly.
Their frontal lobe isn't active at all, so the walker wouldn't have a conscious, meaning you can't really get a point of view.

They have some sort of ability to react to stimuli, though. They turn door handles. They look under cars. They open doors and search for food inside buildings or trailers. They pick up rocks.

^This.
Also, they don't need a personality.
A personality/conscious would make them unable to kill and infect.

Crash!
There was a sudden crash, the shattering of glass, and a figure came out of the construct, smashing into it. It fell on its side, both of its arms pinned beneath the figure.

Can't you just do what I did if you want to do something from a walker's perspective? Simply use their perspective. No need for an app - you're allowed to create walkers.Me wrote:It was facing forward. There was a construct to its right, and a forest about 150 metres ahead. It shuffled by the construct. Yeah, what he said.
Besides your Walker character would have a very very short life span. It's not like he's gonna go this epic journey to save his son. Fuck, that was weird movie.

Camicon wrote:With regards to making a Walker-character: it was tried already, against my better judgement. It didn't last long, much to my expectation.
So, no. I wouldn't approve another character like that, unless someone of extraordinary writing skill, with the ability to develop and maintain a character sans OP-input, came along and managed to convince me. I can't think of very many people on this forum that would fit that bill. I wouldn't count myself, or anyone else currently here, among them (no offence intended, folks).
The primary problem is that individual walkers have very poor odds of survival. En masse, they become an enormous threat; on their own, they are incredibly easy to avoid and ditch, and fairly easy to kill if you have a heavy enough object at hand. So this character would die very quickly. Either that, or it would be incredibly boring to write for them, as they would very rarely (if ever) interact with anything even remotely intelligent. And those interactions would be limited to a life-or-death struggle. There would be absolutely zero character development, or any interesting or insightful thought on behalf of the character.
So any walker-character would need to, somehow, maintain or regain a semblance of intelligence in order to be a character that a person can write for and about. But not so intelligent, at which point they wouldn't be a walker anymore: just a person in an undead, unhealing body. As I said before, such a character would require a writer of great skill and thought to pull off successfully. And none of us are of great enough skill and thought to do so.

Galdius wrote:NAME: Olivia Gallach
AGE: 20
NATIONALITY: Scottish-American.
RACE: White
SKILLS: [Be realistic.] Olivia is a Traceuse, a practitioner of Parkour, she has been practicing for five years in total (started getting coached at sixteen.) and is the main reason she survived this long. Self taught first-aid due the minor injuries she sometimes sustained during her Parkour exercises.
WEAPONRY: [Not everyone owns a gun. This could be a pipe, if that's what your character has access to.] Smith & Wesson Model 4006 and a crowbar.
VEHICLE: [Once again, not everyone will own one.]: A black dirt bike.
BIOGRAPHY: [Keep it brief, but make sure it backs up how you have the weapon or vehicle you do.] Olivia Gallach lived a fairly fasted paced life before the "outbreak", born on the isles of Scotland in Carloway, she lived her first ten years of her life on the island, learning the local language (Scottish Gaelic) and culture before her mother, an American national who had blood lines leading back to the isles decided to get a divorce with her father, a Scottish fisherman who not only had a drinking problem, but often disappeared for days when he was not on the job . After the case was won in her mothers favor, she later moved back to the united states, back to her mother's home city. Nashville. She quickly developed a love of the physical activity that would later save her life, Parkour. At the age of fifteen, she began practicing the basics on her own time as well as taking gymnastics in school, learning how to effectively balance herself and a year of hard work paid off when she managed to nab a spot in a medium sized training group in Nashville who trained in the evening. She quickly bonded and became friends with most of the group. Although her mother heavily disapproved due to the injuries she frequently sustained, she always found a way around the problem. She continued to train after she left school, getting a job at a foot locker branch to bring in rent money.
Olivia, like most other people were completely unprepared, as the people in the rural and suburban areas flooded into the city with promises of protection from the military, only for the city to become death traps, she and the four remaining members of the training group did something different, while others got in cars and attempted to hit the highways or get out of the city on foot. Olivia and the others in her group climbed, staying out of sight on the rooftops while the chaos at group level unfolded. They quickly gathered that the "geeks" couldn't climb or run, all they could do was stumble and eat. At first the group was scared, not particularly scared of them, but scared about lack of knowledge but they quickly learned a lot about them as they observed them from the low roof tops. They stayed within the city limits and didn't leave, using the skills that they had learned over the years to their advantage. They ether used sound to lure the geeks away to allow a small team to loot or trapped them in bottle neck alleyways, using themselves as life bait. They managed to stay alive like that for months but the four man group fell apart after a failed jump, one of the members missed the mark, fell and broke his neck, killing him. Unaware that bites aren't the only way people turned, the others went down only to be mauled by there late friends. Olivia gathered what she could and left on a dirt bike the group had stashed. Shortly after that, she unluckily stumbled on Stryker group who reluctantly let her join, considering that she was more useful to them alive, gathering them supplies and scouting out hostile zones rather than dead in a ditch.
Olivia is often a non-confrontational person who rarely ever wants to get into fights, avoiding them whenever possible. She tends to appear to be a shy and rather quiet person, but once you get to know her, she is a very talkative person who is willing to help anyone who may need her help and her kindness is often exploited by others.
APPEARANCE: [Picture preferred.]For a woman, Oliva stands fairly tall, just under 6'0 and has a slowly fading athletic physique, mainly due to the lack of a proper diet.(Image)
