I'm going to go on the assumption that between Alex shooting the last zombie's head which was in the bus, and him introducing himself, the bus stopped and Scott walked in. Where are you guys? Inside the bus or outside?

Recently, on The Walking Dead...

A survivalist was pursued by a massive horde of Walkers, leading them into the camp. Although an angered Scott wanted to banish the young man from the camp, the main concern was what to do with the bodies. While Johann suggested that they should be burned, Zhang suggested digging a mass grave.
