Short bio: Johann was a Russian-born American immigrant, but he only lived in Russia until the age of 3. He and the Steele family moved to New York City when he was just a young boy, and he was fully immersed in the American culture that his parents found so difficult to conform to. Johann had always had a fascination towards NYC's cops, always watching as they patrolled the streets in the suave cop cars or made arrests in the drug house down the street. His parents were brutally murdered by a New York cartel when he was 15, and that was when he knew what he would do with his life. He worked hard, doing as best as he could in school. He graduated, and went directly to the Police Academy, where he passed with flying colors and entered into the ranks of New York's Finest. After 5 years of service in which he was a star cop and instrumental in several large gang- and drug-related busts. He was contacted by the US Marshals Service at the age of 23, asking him to consider applying for the Marshals Service. Without much hesitation he entered into their program, scoring some of the highest scores ever recorded on both the physical and mental exams. He has been in both the Marshals Service and the Marshals subgroup, the Special Operations Group (SOG), for 8 years now, and is a well-respected member of the force.

They are specialized in taking down organized gangs.
Requirements for members: Either a 4-year Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice or competitive 3-4 years of work experience at a local or state police department. USMS's hiring process has a nondisclosure agreement, so the specific details of the process are not completely revealed; however applicants must pass a written test, an oral board interview, an extensive background investigation, a medical examination, a drug test, and multiple fitness in total exams (FIT) even to be considered to be selected for training.
