Yes, but can your Blue-Water Navy transverse the Volga? I would rather have a Navy/Aircraft Force actually. Oh well.

The trade route is big enough for commercial freighters, so I don't see why a line of carriers couldn't make it down to the Caspian. Most of the Russian ships stationed there will be Carriers and Destroyers, so effectively it's more of a launching platform for the air force.

Hm, so the jump between classes in that big? Alright, sounds good to me. I'm not much of a gun or military vehicle nut, so I'm clueless when it comes to how good my weapons and vehicles are.

Yeah, the jump between tank classes especially is really big. So is the one between bomber classes. It's not unusual for tank armour to double in thickness at each level jump, and bombers typically double in range and armament. Fighters and rifles aren't quite as key; the old ones can stay in service for a while in most cases, unless they're really outclassed by your biggest opponent's weapons. For example, if you had the CAC Boomerang, and your foe introduced something like the J7W Shinden or the La-9, you'd be losing every air battle from the dogfight level on up.

Well it's not like the player would be able to match the production of FG-42's gun for gun of someone with a semi-auto rifle like the Garand. They would have the advantage of being able to equip maybe a few infantry divisions with highly advanced infantry weapons, opposed to another player being able to equip ALL of their infantry divisions with semi-auto weapons.

EDIT: If they did produce enough FG42's to equip all their infantry, then they probably will have like, five tanks to outfit their armored divisions.

Right, or they could replace maybe every third or fourth rifle with an FG42, and boost all their units' fighting ability.

Oh, fucking hell.

After a double check, I realized that I don't have the Commencement Bay-class escort carrier. I had miscounted and added that in.

I fucking built my app on the idea that I had that carrier. Shiiiiiiiiiit.

Hmmm. We both seem to have traits in our numbers that the other desires. Perhaps we could work out an arrangement?

Russia is actually the one that produces the Commencement Bay's. I'd be willing to possibly sell you some.. for a price.

That is what I just effing realized. When I was building my app and finding my weapons I saw the CB class and jumped for it. I put it down as 12, thinking that was the number for it after a couple of counts.

I'd rather be the one building it. Now I have to deal with an alright but lesser class of carriers.

EDIT: The weapons list really needs to be numbered, Neo. My entire idea for my navy was destroyed by a counting error.

EDIT 2: Eh, found out the ship I did get, the Sangamon, is basically a CB-class with a bit more engine problems but supports dive bombers and fewer aircraft by a tiny margin. Not all is lost.

Great Southern War:

In the year 1913, the Armies of the Vietnamese Empire (Vietnam at this time included Laos) and the Chinese Empire clashed in Tonkin as well as southern Yunnan over trivial border disputes and a long-running regional rivalry. China at the time wished to flex it's military might, as well as secure a hegemonic position in mainland Asia and Southeast Asia. The Imperial Chinese Navy began to bombard and devastate the coast of Vietnam, while the land forces secure rapid victory through rugged campaigns through jungle and mountainous terrain. Casualties were high on both sides, but China was able to secure a foothold in Tonkin, flooding the area with militarization of shapes and caliber, deeming it the "Stronghold of the South", which is also the first time China utilized aircraft in warfare. By 1915, Vietnam was seeking peace with China, but within the Imperial government, an "All-Vietnam Movement" took place in which the Chinese would accept nothing but total and utter surrender of the nation of Vietnam. At this time, Thailand began a simultaneous invasion of Cambodia and Vietnam to gain some spoils of the War for itself. China was not pleased.

With Thailand threatening to invade Southern Vietnam and capture Saigon, the Vietnamese surrendered to the Chinese Military rather than the Siamese forces, causing a bitter dispute between the two nations. China commenced an ruthless occupation of Vietnam, stripping it of its' former name and calling it "Yuènán". The Occupational Government stripped Vietnam of all of its' weapons and indigenous industrial power, replacing it with Chinese owners and authorities. It wasn't until 1932 that the Occupational Government was reformed in favor of a Vice-royalty system, and the Yuènán Volunteer Army was formed as a native army under the direction of the Imperial Chinese Army. However, the ill-will between Siam and China still surfaced, with border clashes common, but the 1940 Border Clash is the largest to occur yet, and the Chinese Military is pushing for decisive action against Siam, and the government is willing to comply.

Yes. That's when we decided China could be a good friend and economic asset since Mao broke with Khrushchev. A zerg rush of Chinese to counter a zerg rush of Russians? That is an American wet dream.
