The theory is that in the end, it would conserve more military and industrial output by neutralizing all possible threats, and the advantage of surprise will make up for any lack of manpower, equipment, or vehicles/air power that may result of such mass deployment of the Armed Forces. It's more of an all-or-nothing kind of thing, France's version of the Schlieffen Plan.

I also hope that nobody takes advantage of this opportunity to metagame, for example Germany decides to randomly build a massive fortification system on its border to Italy and Denmark.

That's actually a great name for something like that, metagaming. I really hate it when people do that. It's practically cheating.

That's because it is cheating, for all that it counts for.

So after looking at my weapons, it appears that I'm relatively screwed as far as tank-to-tank battles until I can start fielding M47 Pattons. :P

So basically, this has all been an attempt by you to get to be the leader of the alliance. Mhm. No, I don't really think so.

It was an attempt to unite European nations that are scared of Ottoman expansion as well as a power struggle. I just realized that France is really unstable and scared that everyone is out to get them. So I cant really trust them or the Ottomans (because my scheme failed) so I am looking for someone I can trust.

Just assumed it was because I thought there was no way the BAR, having a clip of 20 rounds was the standard LMG of the US Army in WWII. Thought the M2 was more like the MG34

The US Army used the BAR as a "walking fire" LMG, and supplemented it with the M1919 medium machine gun, which was operated by a team of two. The M2 isn't even man-portable. It's only for use on vehicles.

Yeah, but your T-34/85's will be severely outclassed when I can field my M47's. It fields a 90mm tank gun meant to compete with the Tiger II's 8.8cm gun, which was the most lethal tank gun featured in the Second World War. So I'd be at a disadvantage when the T-34's and other Level 2 tanks start rolling off the assembly lines, but I'll be back on top when the M47 makes its appearance.

And hey, just because the Hotchkiss machine gun was originally fed from oversized stripper clips doesn't mean it's not a fearsome weapon :p

Yeah the MG-34 isnt as mobile as the BAR. Its used to do the jobs that both the BAR and the M2 do. I think an "assault rifle" could do the same as the BAR though. The KP/31 is almost an assault rifle. Its bigger and more powerful than say the MP40 but is still as mobile

Oh, absolutely. The MG34 is pretty much the best machine gun on the list. I had to omit the MG42 because it's just too good, too effective, to be a fair inclusion.

I thought I was in serious trouble regarding the machine gun category until I read that they did develop something other than stripper clips to feed a Hotchkiss MG.

Yeah well, my tank sucks balls. I got Fiat M11/39, I would rather have a Fiat M13/40.

In all honesty, I don't think I got anything good from the roll, lol:

AIRCRAFT
Fighter: Curtiss P-40 Warhawk
Attack: Junkers Ju 87
Bomber: Mitsubishi G4M
Trainer: Fairchild PT-19
Cargo: Lockheed Model 14 Super Electra

SHIPS
Battleship: Nelson class battleship
Carrier: Attacker class escort carrier
Cruiser: Dido class cruiser
Destroyer: Mogador class destroyer
Submarine: OH GOD THERE AREN'T ANY SUBMARINES!

VEHICLES
Tank: Fiat M11/39
TD/Assault Gun: TACAM R-2
Armoured Car: AH-IV
Utility Vehicle: Dodge M37
Artillery: 7.5 cm FK 16 nA (the model of 7.7 cm FK 16 used in WW2 due to having it's barrel reshaped into the 7.5 cm average)

SMALL ARMS
Service Pistol: Mauser C96
Service Rifle: Short Magazine Lee-Enfield Mk I
Machine Gun: Charlton Automatic Rifle; MP 40

OTHER STUFF
Anti-Tank: Rocket Launcher
Helmet: M1 Helmet
Uniform:

All uniforms are different depending on role, rank, and military branch.
