The year was 2014. The Union was on the verge of collapse. For what reasons, or how, not a single American knew, but all were in agreement that the power of the once-mighty federal government was gradually being surpassed by that of various regional confederacies which were springing up as quickly as outlets of fast food chains and seemed to be rising from the middle of nowhere. President Obama, as in the dark as to why such a sudden change in America's political climate had occurred as the rest of the populace and under heavy pressure from Congress to respond, approved the deployment of an occupational force to an unrecognized coalition formed by North and South Carolina. The force was repelled, Carolina declared itself to be an independent nation, and politicians from coast to coast began to debate on whether their regions would follow in Carolina's footsteps.

The year is 2015. The States of America are United no more, and the once-mighty federal republic has been replaced by several smaller unions formed by neighboring states. Each new nation will be forced to adapt to the tumultuous times or fail as its predecessor did. Some may embark on a mission to take advantage of the chaos in the air of the fractured superpower by waging war on its former brothers, while others might opt to build diplomatic relations with the independent countries which have risen from the ashes of the United States. As the leaders of your own group of states, it will be up to you to decide what will happen in a new, shattered America.

RULES

1. No WMDs. That includes (but is not limited to) nuclear weapons, Chuck Norris, biological weapons, the Dos Equis guy, chemical weapons, and the Old Spice guy.

2. No godmodding. See here if you're new or don't understand what it is.

3. No references to any continent besides North America. The only relationships you can have with countries elsewhere are neutral economic ones. Basically, don't pull out the "russha and china gav me 999999 soldierz & $100 bazillion" card.

4. Suspend your disbelief. We all know that a divided U.S. isn't realistic, and that Rules 1 and 3 aren't realistic, but we're ignoring that for the sake of roleplay.

5. Keep everything else realistic. Don't stray from modern tech, don't numberwank, don't have an excessive budget, etc.

6. Minimum of four lines per post. Basically, no one liners.

7. Stay active. Anyone who doesn't post in the IC for a week is kicked out unless they can be counted on to return. If you post in the OOC, this will be extended to ten days from the last IC.

8. Space. The Final Frontier. Don't go there. See Rule 5.

9. Warning system. Baseball rules. Three strikes and you're out, plain and simple.

10. If there are any issues, TG me. Better to have the OP settle things than to try doing it via heated arguments or flamefests. 12 hour response guaranteed or your money back.

Or you can write a sample and post it here, all i need to know really is that can write a couple paragraphs for each post. Eh, screw that i'll just research your post history.
