The torch light flickered off the damp stone walls of the cave. The soft echo of chain mail moving as it's owner marched forward seemed to make time slow. The twelve Stormcloak troops were ready for anything as they came to the end of the cave. Intelligence reported Imperial Troops hiding in the cave, yet not a trace of life was seen.
"Alright men," bellowed the commander as the other eleven troops rallied in front of him. "It seems we were mislead, it looks as if this cave has been left untouched for years. I highly doubt that there were any of those godforsaken Imperials in here, so I suppose it's time to-"
The commander's words were cut off as a single steel arrow pierced through his throat, sending him crashing to the ground as his torch rolled across the stone floor. The soldiers were nervous, they had began frantically scampering around the cave with their weapons drawn.
"By Talos, come out you filthy imperial grime!" Another soldier yelled. As he turned, he found that he had just met eyes with what seemed to be another person, but before he could react, his eyes locked as they flew across the cave with the rest of his decapitated head, sending his shield to a loud crash on the ground. One by one, the Stormcloaks went down. Little did they know they were playing right into a trap.
A single soldier stood, surrounded by the lifeless bodies of his comrades, he had to remember his training, his loyalty to Ulfric. In mere seconds, something came over him, an immense fear, as if his blood was turning to Ice, he ran. To where he did not know, but he ran as fast as he could, fear washed over him and he just kept running through the cave, past tough light shadows. The light of Nirn's Night Stars beckoned as he neared the entrance, but before a single foot could find the outer light, he was paralyzed. The shocking sensation of lightening petrified him as he attempted to fight it, he would only last for a few more seconds, so he used what was left of his strength to turn towards his aggressor. The second their eyes met, the young Stormcloak knew he was done for.
"To Sovernguard you go, filth!" The Imperitore yelled as his opponent fell to the ground. The diversion had worked. With troops now being drawn from the Whiterun camp, the Stormcloak central position was left vulnerable to imperial attack. A single Imperitore was enough trouble, but when seven Imperitores drew troops away in all directions the Whiterun based Insurgents were done for.
Alright, so a few months ago I attempted a Skyrim RP which was eventually deleted for inactivity. It started great with many very good posts and I am proud of it, this time however I decided to make a more fixed plot which is more based towards those of you whom have played the newest ES game; Skyrim. This is a Roleplay taking place in the Snowy and Old province of skyrim during the Civil War. This takes place mere days after the first dragons appear in Skyrim. The story is about an elite group of Imperial Soldiers from across Tamriel. This is a squad of highly trained soldiers meant to serve the emperor directly in Skyrim. A branch that is independant of the Penitus Oculatus called "Imperatore Manum" or "Emperor's Fist". This consists of soldiers of various races, their goal is to crush the Stormcloak rebellion and restore order in Skyrim. You are one of their finest.
This is merely an interest tread. post here if you're willing to join. My idea is that each of us be a member of this group and we go across Skyrim fighting, nothing to direct but it would also involve espionage, assassinations, etc. Unlike the game, we may be fighting both defensiveness and offensives and I think It would be interesting to have the majority of fights in cities rather than forts.
