Anomander smiled faintly. Some fool thought to intimidate me with that hammer. It's hardly Caladan Brood's hammer. That can cause earthquakes and create mountain ranges.

The dragon that landed was truly a dragon. Not some cheap two bit superhero in tights pumped up with a variety of different chemicals. An actual dragon, from mythology. Only instead of Quetzalcoatl, it was not feathered but scaled. The thing could talk, a booming voice that surely resonated for miles. No doubt the citizens of La Bizantina would hear it.
Holy shit, there she was. La Bizantina was torn with her chunk of the desert into the edge of the forest, blue shockwaves all around. Clearly Ai was right. This was unpredictable. No doubt about it. It'd take a lot of energy to seal it. Something big. Bigger than him or anyone else.
"Dragon! Down here. Specifically, the pale rider. You need to go outside more. Yeah, over here, the sociopathic guy in the symbolic smiling executioner's hood and cassock. You want to go back to being archmage? Then tell me, can you seal this?"Sentinel XV wrote:The Centurion-class starship Prometheus Unbound drifted in serenity through the trackless voids of interplanetary space: somewhere between the Earth and Mars. In the starship's bridge, the imposing figure of a regal Protheus stood tall as it overlooked the control panel of the ship's navigation unit. This Protheus, the legendary Morpheus, was the leader of the joint Human/Protheus command unit codenamed project PROMETHEUS. Holographic displays of navigation charts and ship schematics flitted in an out of existence as the commander telepathically controlled the ship's database, an added benefit of being capable of technopathy: the telepathic control of technology.
Satisfied that the ship was on-course and would enter orbit around the shattered remnants of Mars -- which was destroyed halfway through the legendary First Galactic War between the Protheus and Mankind itself -- Morpheus relinquished control of the navigation system to the ship's artificial intelligence unit and began to pace the bridge, his foreign brain attempting to purge all wayward thoughts as he focused on nothing in particular. His meditation was cut short, though, when a shockwave ripped through the ship, causing the entirety of the cruiser to shudder. Protheus and Human agents alike scrambled to stabilize the ship, checking on every aspect of the craft to make sure that it checked out, and then to identify the source of the blast.
"Sir," came the nervous voice of one Human senior controller, "anomoly 86-X-Sigma-Prime was recorded to our right flank. Proceed?"
Morpheus merely nodded. It was nothing consequential: energy disruptions were common in places were Protheus Worldbreaker cannons had been fired.. even far into the future. But this.. this was not an energy disruption, as Morpheus would soon become aware of. Another shockwave tossed the ship asunder, this time with the crew being forced to brace themselves against the aftershock. A bright light tore through the fabric of space ahead of them, and in an instant engulfed the ships.. the last thing that Morpheus was aware of was screaming. And then silence. Peaceful silence.
Birds. The sounds of birds chirping. That was what Morpheus became aware of as his senses returned. The bright light faded and he realized he was staring into the sun, but it was no Sol of the Stygian System. This sun was.. different. But he couldn't pinpoint exactly what the difference was. Standing unsteadily, he righted himself and proceeded to look around: he was in a forest, a dense forest at that. Lush vegetation surrounded him as well as a plethora of wildlife. Grunting in distaste, Morpheus began a full-revolution scan of the area around him, a process which took exactly 1.5346743 seconds but which yielded little information other than what he had visually confirmed: he was in a bloody forest. His ship, Prometheus Unbound, was nowhere to be seen, and for some curious reason, his weapons had appeared on his person.
The only useful piece of information that the scan had provided was that he was close to a source of water, a lake by the looks of the readings, as well as several unidentified, large, humanoid heat signatures. This was indeed intriguing, and Morpheus decided that it would be wise for him to pursue those individuals: albeit with stealth. Producing his Phaeston from its back-mounted harness, the Protheus commander set off through the forest, reaching its fringe in little time at all and looking out from behind the cover of a large tree towards the lake.
As the scan had shown, the forest gave way to a large meadow in which a medium-sized lake was the dominant feature. The heat signatures proved to be several humans, a revelation that led Morpheus to conclude that he was on some version of Earth. Deciding that he should approach closer now, he activated his cloaking mechanism and faded from view, light bending around him and producing not even a visible glare or light distortion to signify his presence. Moving forward with steady pace and baited breath, he kept his Phaeston lowered but at the ready in case these humans proved hostile. After all, factions of Humans on his own Earth were still openly hostile to the Protheus, even though they themselves were a minority amongst the humans.
The alien had appeared, as well as his ship tearing through. Damn. Everyone was coming. Even the blue and white thing walking towards the group. The thing was armed, but the insecurity in it's veins and actions proved it was defensive. Truly, it could be friendly. Or a threat.
"Oye, identify yourself."

"Did you bring the facility with you? Or is it back through the void?" Fray Felicidad was hoping it'd be dangerous. He hadn't killed anything in the past three hours. No drug dealers, nothing. He needed to do something. And saving his home would certainly go a long way to ending the drug war. Hell, they'd love him so much, he could sit upon his Satirical Throne made of Smiley Faces and Flags, to make a point about how shitty life was. His megalomaniacal dreams were interrupted by a metal ball, rolling into the side of his leg.
The thing spouted off the most cliché racist comment there was, exacerbated by the fact that the thing apparently thought that Mexicans were below everything else. How ironic, one of the smartest pieces of technology from (presumably) earth, and all it could do was be as cliché aggressive as possible. Fray Felicidad pulled out a Ruger Vaquero, emptying it's ammunition into his hand. He dropped it on top of the Core, waiting for it to grab it.
"Go ahead, shitcan, pick it up. Tell me, do robots feel pain? I think they'd have to feel something, an error message saying that the HDMI cable is going into the coffee dispenser. After all, that's what pain is. Telling you that your leg isn't supposed to bend that way. How about we find out, shitcan, huh? Huh?"
He kicked the ball with his full force, which was strong enough to go through concrete. Making sure it had been aimed far away, he watched his foot connect. Ah, how good that felt.

Wheatley looked around for any cameras, and turned to the strange girl. "Her as in GLaDOS. She's a sentient AI, completely insane, and she's dead, for now. If she's reactivated though, she'll gain control of the entire facility, which would be bad, by my standards. She makes a good potato though." Wheatley realized how confusing the last statement was. "Ohh, well, errr, it's a long story."
"Space. Ba-ba-ba. Space." The space core wandered around, until it banged into something. Seeing nothing there, it banged it again and again. "Space! Help me! There's an invisible wall space! *gasp* invisible wall, are you from space, because I'm from space. I wanna go to space."

The adventure core flew through the air, when it was caught by the bird. The force of the core flying caused the bird to fall to the ground, where it started to harass Wheatley. "The faci- AH! -lity? Yeah, it- DAMN BIRD! -'s here." The bird flew away with a small hunk of wiring. "GET BACK HERE WITH THAT! THAT'S MY LANGUAGE CONTROL CIRCUIT! El circuito de control no funciona correctamente el idioma. Recalibración. That's better, anyway, as long as we don't wake up her, it should be fine."

He'd definitely look into that after his question was answered.

"Once again, what on earth are those things?" Winston commented, gazing at the monstrosity of a creature that the boy had somehow managed to fit inside such a small sphere. He didn't need to question it, he was sure it had something to do with another whole universe, probably one out of his range of reasoning.
