"Then it seems to me that the only one that doesn't pose risk of death and worse is the third option." Winston said, tucking the large pistol he'd drawn back into one of the many loops on his clothing. "However, whether we use the third, second or first, the question still remains--how exactly are we going to do what's required to actually make the split happen?" he said, gazing about the group.

"Winston, you're incorrect on one of your premises. The third option poses the most risk of death and worse. Since the convergence is so unstable, the likelihood that the universes will break apart themselves upon separation is far greater than the chance that we'll have an easy separation."

Howard listened to the solutions that Ai proposed, making a mental note not to call her junior again at the same time, and wondered which one would be the best solution. They all obviously presented a great risk to the universes that had converged, even he could see that much. And he certainly didn't want to put his friends from Rune-Midgard in danger of being destroyed, just like that, specially after the countless hardships they had gone through in order to save all of Midgard multiple times.

As he thought of this, Howard looked up, and saw a great dragon descending from a portal in the air, as well as a figure with black skin. The dragon reminded him of the one time he, Ragnar and the others had fought against Nydhogg's shadow in the roots of Yggdrassil, and that made him be wary of the thing. The man himself reminded him of one of the shadows that Satan Morroc created when he invaded the world of Midgard.

"Who are you?" He said, pointing at Anomander and Silanah with Mjolnir.

"Oh, alright then, that's lovely. A pick your poison situation then?" he said with a sigh. The soldier at his side nodded thoughtfully, casting a gaze towards him.

"It's not like we haven't been in one before." the soldier quietly commented. True, whenever a decision had been made during their war, it always had some kind of unforeseen backlash that came back to haunt the revolutionaries. Whether it was staying in the cities to stop the King's slaughter of the citizens and losing half your force or leaving the city after what happened the last time and being ran down either way, it seemed they were doomed to failure.

"Then I suppose we'll just have to take a wild guess or look into this more."

The Centurion-class starship Prometheus Unbound drifted in serenity through the trackless voids of interplanetary space: somewhere between the Earth and Mars. In the starship's bridge, the imposing figure of a regal Protheus stood tall as it overlooked the control panel of the ship's navigation unit. This Protheus, the legendary Morpheus, was the leader of the joint Human/Protheus command unit codenamed project PROMETHEUS. Holographic displays of navigation charts and ship schematics flitted in an out of existence as the commander telepathically controlled the ship's database, an added benefit of being capable of technopathy: the telepathic control of technology.

Satisfied that the ship was on-course and would enter orbit around the shattered remnants of Mars -- which was destroyed halfway through the legendary First Galactic War between the Protheus and Mankind itself -- Morpheus relinquished control of the navigation system to the ship's artificial intelligence unit and began to pace the bridge, his foreign brain attempting to purge all wayward thoughts as he focused on nothing in particular. His meditation was cut short, though, when a shockwave ripped through the ship, causing the entirety of the cruiser to shudder. Protheus and Human agents alike scrambled to stabilize the ship, checking on every aspect of the craft to make sure that it checked out, and then to identify the source of the blast.

"Sir," came the nervous voice of one Human senior controller, "anomoly 86-X-Sigma-Prime was recorded to our right flank. Proceed?"

Morpheus merely nodded. It was nothing consequential: energy disruptions were common in places were Protheus Worldbreaker cannons had been fired.. even far into the future. But this.. this was not an energy disruption, as Morpheus would soon become aware of. Another shockwave tossed the ship asunder, this time with the crew being forced to brace themselves against the aftershock. A bright light tore through the fabric of space ahead of them, and in an instant engulfed the ships.. the last thing that Morpheus was aware of was screaming. And then silence. Peaceful silence.

Birds. The sounds of birds chirping. That was what Morpheus became aware of as his senses returned. The bright light faded and he realized he was staring into the sun, but it was no Sol of the Stygian System. This sun was.. different. But he couldn't pinpoint exactly what the difference was. Standing unsteadily, he righted himself and proceeded to look around: he was in a forest, a dense forest at that. Lush vegetation surrounded him as well as a plethora of wildlife. Grunting in distaste, Morpheus began a full-revolution scan of the area around him, a process which took exactly 1.5346743 seconds but which yielded little information other than what he had visually confirmed: he was in a bloody forest. His ship, Prometheus Unbound, was nowhere to be seen, and for some curious reason, his weapons had appeared on his person.

The only useful piece of information that the scan had provided was that he was close to a source of water, a lake by the looks of the readings, as well as several unidentified, large, humanoid heat signatures. This was indeed intriguing, and Morpheus decided that it would be wise for him to pursue those individuals: albeit with stealth. Producing his Phaeston from its back-mounted harness, the Protheus commander set off through the forest, reaching its fringe in little time at all and looking out from behind the cover of a large tree towards the lake.

As the scan had shown, the forest gave way to a large meadow in which a medium-sized lake was the dominant feature. The heat signatures proved to be several humans, a revelation that led Morpheus to conclude that he was on some version of Earth. Deciding that he should approach closer now, he activated his cloaking mechanism and faded from view, light bending around him and producing not even a visible glare or light distortion to signify his presence. Moving forward with steady pace and baited breath, he kept his Phaeston lowered but at the ready in case these humans proved hostile. After all, factions of Humans on his own Earth were still openly hostile to the Protheus, even though they themselves were a minority amongst the humans.

Howard simply lowered his hammer slowly, and at the same time, he raised an eyebrow at the man. To him, everything Anomander said was pure gibberish. So, once Anomander was done introducing himself, Howard simply shrugged.

"Whatever." He said, before turning around and focusing his attention back on Ai and the others.

"So if what you say is true, wouldn't the safest choice be the second? It would seal the convergence after all." Howard commented.

The dragon that landed was truly a dragon. Not some cheap two bit superhero in tights pumped up with a variety of different chemicals. An actual dragon, from mythology. Only instead of Quetzalcoatl, it was not feathered but scaled. The thing could talk, a booming voice that surely resonated for miles. No doubt the citizens of La Bizantina would hear it.

Holy shit, there she was. La Bizantina was torn with her chunk of the desert into the edge of the forest, blue shockwaves all around. Clearly Ai was right. This was unpredictable. No doubt about it. It'd take a lot of energy to seal it. Something big. Bigger than him or anyone else.

"Dragon! Down here. Specifically, the pale rider. You need to go outside more. Yeah, over here, the sociopathic guy in the symbolic smiling executioner's hood and cassock. You want to go back to being archmage? Then tell me, can you seal this?"

"How would we break it? Sending Señor Dragon over here to chant his magical spells and hope he doesn't screw up a syllable?"

This was getting out of hand. He needed to contain the anarchy. But he couldn't, not while monsters and superpowered cockfighters popped out of the sky.

Wheatley spoke up. "Look, in any case we need a large source of energy, which at the mo' we don't have. I know of a way we can create a perpetual motion machine, but it might take a while." he used his eye to gesture at the shack. "Down there is an A.S.H.P.D., which we can use to create an infinite gravitational loop, which we can then use to power a turbine. We can use the turbine to supply use with the energy to that "reverse the polarity" sci-fi stuff you were talking about. the problem is, we need to find the damn thing. If you plug me into the central core body, I can use the cameras in the facility to find it. Other problem, just a note here, the A.S.H.P.D. may be in outer space. Which may be a problem, if... we are planning to look for it."

The adventure core rolled over to the strange man dressed in the yellow hood, followed by the two other corrupt cores. "Hey you! Yah, that's right you oversized taco-eating illegal immigrant, you! Don't underestimate me, I've got about fifty blackbelts, though I can't wear them, but i can still kick your sorry ass!" He flipped around, towards the others. "Do any of you have a gun? 'Cause I feel like I should have a gun." He turned around again. "Just wait until I get my hands on a gun! No, wait, just wait until I get my hands on some hands, and then put a gun in those hands!"

"Did you bring the facility with you? Or is it back through the void?" Fray Felicidad was hoping it'd be dangerous. He hadn't killed anything in the past three hours. No drug dealers, nothing. He needed to do something. And saving his home would certainly go a long way to ending the drug war. Hell, they'd love him so much, he could sit upon his Satirical Throne made of Smiley Faces and Flags, to make a point about how shitty life was. His megalomaniacal dreams were interrupted by a metal ball, rolling into the side of his leg.

The thing spouted off the most cliché racist comment there was, exacerbated by the fact that the thing apparently thought that Mexicans were below everything else. How ironic, one of the smartest pieces of technology from (presumably) earth, and all it could do was be as cliché aggressive as possible. Fray Felicidad pulled out a Ruger Vaquero, emptying it's ammunition into his hand. He dropped it on top of the Core, waiting for it to grab it.

"Go ahead, shitcan, pick it up. Tell me, do robots feel pain? I think they'd have to feel something, an error message saying that the HDMI cable is going into the coffee dispenser. After all, that's what pain is. Telling you that your leg isn't supposed to bend that way. How about we find out, shitcan, huh? Huh?"

He kicked the ball with his full force, which was strong enough to go through concrete. Making sure it had been aimed far away, he watched his foot connect. Ah, how good that felt.

The alien had appeared, as well as his ship tearing through. Damn. Everyone was coming. Even the blue and white thing walking towards the group. The thing was armed, but the insecurity in it's veins and actions proved it was defensive. Truly, it could be friendly. Or a threat.

"Oye, identify yourself."

Pale Rider? Ah, this one is most sarcastic indeed. A far cry from most people I usually meet. They are far more respectful. I shall have to teach these upstarts some respect in the near future, he thought.

Anomander Rake snorted. "Can I seal that? Ignorant upstart. Universe altering actions are not regularly undertaken by me. That is the kind of thing Mother Dark would do. After all, she created the universe from whence I came. Though we are hardly on speaking terms any more, when she turned her back on the Tiste Andii and the rest of her creation; in general. And the dragon is called Silanah."

Nearby, Salinah turned her head towards the human who had called her, revealing to this mortal a blank, empty, deadly gaze. Beloved, shall I kill this irritating human? She sent the thought to the knight of Darkness.
The Lord of Moon's Spawn smiled faintly. Not quite yet. If he continues; we can rend him together.

Anomander spoke aloud once more. "Among the Rhivi of Northern Genabackis, there was a saying. A man who stirs awake the serpent is a man without fear. A man without fear has forgotten the rules of life."
And Silanah watched, thoughts filled with a burning hunger.
Sometimes mortals did indeed forget. Sometimes, mortals needed . . . reminding.

Wheatley looked around for any cameras, and turned to the strange girl. "Her as in GLaDOS. She's a sentient AI, completely insane, and she's dead, for now. If she's reactivated though, she'll gain control of the entire facility, which would be bad, by my standards. She makes a good potato though." Wheatley realized how confusing the last statement was. "Ohh, well, errr, it's a long story."

"Space. Ba-ba-ba. Space." The space core wandered around, until it banged into something. Seeing nothing there, it banged it again and again. "Space! Help me! There's an invisible wall space! *gasp* invisible wall, are you from space, because I'm from space. I wanna go to space."

"Hey, uh, behind the times over here..." he said, gazing over at the sphere that said something about something called an "AI." "Is she like more of you?" he said, beckoning towards the gery and blue sphere and the other one, which seemed occupied with something invisible. He'd definitely look into that after his question was answered.

Teotan wrote:"Did you bring the facility with you?

The adventure core flew through the air, when it was caught by the bird. The force of the core flying caused the bird to fall to the ground, where it started to harass Wheatley. "The faci- AH! -lity? Yeah, it- DAMN BIRD! -'s here." The bird flew away with a small hunk of wiring. "GET BACK HERE WITH THAT! THAT'S MY LANGUAGE CONTROL CIRCUIT! El circuito de control no funciona correctamente el idioma. Recalibración. That's better, anyway, as long as we don't wake up her, it should be fine."

Fenrir listened to the little ball's speech. If their world followed them through, then perhaps Helheim is here as well? Gjoll followed me though, as well as Gleipnir...so why not Jormungand or Hel? Or....Skoll? he thought as he saw a flash of bright light in the distance followed by a flash of darkness.

Fenrir's ears perked up toward the location of the flashes as he listened for any sign that his two children were with him. He threw back his head and let loose a resounding howl which shook the ground for miles around, the force of the howl nearly pushing him to his knees. He leapt into the air, switching to his feral form before he landed, and sprinted toward the location he had sighted beforehand.

In the distance, twin howling responses could be heard...

"Ah, who knows what he means? I say we gather up a small group of us while the other half look for other solutions." He interjected, picking up the empty Ruger Vaquero. He wasn't armed for anything that could be very useful, but there were probably a few safehouses back in the town. As well as the old deactivated nuclear reactor. All the gangs were looking for it's materials, in order to maybe create a dirty bomb for leverage. No one knew where it was. The local government knew, at least the anti corruption group did. He knew where one of the shipments was, but it would require heavy lifting. The others were hidden, with the locations guarded.

Wheatley revealed then the sealed monster: Gladys, or GLaDOS. Whatever she was. Clearly Wheatley feared her. Good. Leverage. He could use her.

"Look, I'll go to the city to get some special equipment: namely guns. Also, there's uranium in the city. If that'll help."

He walked off, before turning and saying, "Don't ask, Winston. It'll make your head hurt. Heh." He chuckled, walking toward the city. Specifically, a run down Law Office with an unmarked basement that used to be used for drugs. Now it had guns and plans. His little Happy Cave.

"Once again, what on earth are those things?" Winston commented, gazing at the monstrosity of a creature that the boy had somehow managed to fit inside such a small sphere. He didn't need to question it, he was sure it had something to do with another whole universe, probably one out of his range of reasoning.

"Well it's certainly proving that there's an invisible wall there!" he responded, gazing down the beam of energy the thing shot and towards where it impacted what seemed to be solid air.

"They're Pokemon," Ash said, "My universe is full of 'em." Ash unclipped the 4 remaining Pokeballs from his belt and tossed them up. Out came, Muk, Charizard, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur. "Muk, Hyper Beam! Charizard, Flamethrower! Squirtle, Water Gun! Bulbasaur, Solar Beam! Pikachu, Thunderbolt!"

The attacks of all of the Pokemon wrapped ariund Snorlax's Hyper Beam creating an even more powerful attack. "If this doesn't work, I got nothin'," Ash said.

Twin shapes burst through the sky, weaving around one another. One was made of the purest white light whereas its twin with of the deepest black. They sped toward the ground, spotting and seeming to lock onto Fenrir's position. He had slowed down and stopped near the edge of a lake in preparation for their landing.

The two beams of light impacted the surface of the water, sending twin plumes of water high into the sky and projecting a fine mist of water over the area. Two shapes climbed out of the water and shook the liquid off their fur. Fenrir nodded at them as they shimmered, and then he smiled as two bipedal forms of the wolves stepped out of the light. "Hati, Skoll. So nice of you to join me. It seems we've disappeared from our world, having been transported to another place and time." Each wolf, one silver and the other black, stepped up closer to Fenrir. The silver one (Skoll) cocked its head to the side and spoke, "Father, it is good to see you. How is it that-" "-you escaped the bonds of Gleipnir?" finished the black one (Hati).

Fenrir shook his head. "I do not know. I presume that it is due to our....timely transportation. Come. There is much to discuss, but not here. There are a group of rather....interesting mortals that have congregated. They do not taste appetizing, however...so don't eat them."

The other two wolves nodded and dropped to all four legs, following Fenrir back into the forest, heading back for the group of people.

As they neared them, each slowed down, sniffing the air cautiously. "Father, there is something strange here.....I smell all of the things I see, but there is something else....something I smell, but cannot see. What magic is this? Or has something swallowed the source of the scent?"

Fenrir shook his head. "No, I smell it too." He shifted forms again, back to the bipedal form, and walked over to where the space core was banging into something, stopping outside the range of the strange animal's elemental attacks. He sniffed, smelling the air and the people...and the stronger scent. Something metallic mixed with flesh, aside from the electrical tang. "Reveal yourself, man of flesh and metal. Do not hide from us. Mortals present themselves, not cower in the shadows."

Morpheus decided that it was time to reveal himself. The orb-shaped core had rammed into his shields several times upon approaching, a simple mistake that Morpheus attributed to a mental fuzziness caused by the interdimensional travel just minutes earlier. Then, strange creatures had emerged from small spheres that a boy had thrown, and those creatures had begun to assault Morpheus' shields with unprovoked elemental attacks. Even though those attacks had been absorbed by his plasmid-energy shields, Morpheus' sensor array had went onto high-alert, targeting system locking in on the creatures and a schematic appearing for the most efficient and quick way to dispatch all of them. Morpheus had decided to ignore the suggested plan, as these creatures and the other humans and humanoids had intrigued him more than the Styerius Incident back on Mars, during the tender years directly after the First Galactic War.

Morpheus had finally decided that it was time to uncloak himself, though, when a strange man -- whose scan read off-the-chart power levels -- and his two wolf-like companions had approached him, apparently utilizing keen senses of smell to "see" through Morpheus' cloak. A file was created for that man, his companions, and all of the others who had interacted with him. These were saved into a secure database and left for further entry.

With a sound like a rush of wind, the cloak mechanism powered down, and Morpheus' image was hazily revealed: blurry at first, and then in full focus as if he was behind a camera lens. This reveal his translucently blue shield, which was absorbing large quantities of the elemental attacks' energies while ejecting small radii of their beams back in small crater-like formations.

"Very well," came Morpheus' stern, almost mechanical voice.. it was alien, not human, yet not machine either, "I would prefer for these creatures to cease their assault though, as it does naught to me."
