Lol. Yes he does.

Howard is from a korean manga called, quite conveniently, Ragnarok. :P.

Character: Anomander Rake

Character appearance and background(brief as possible- despite the fact that his history is clouded in darkness and the author didn't fill out his long and storied past): Image
Anomander Rake is one of the three sons of Mother Dark, the primordial creator of the universe. He led the Tiste Andii from the realm of Darkness(Kurald Galain) after many machinations and grabs for power amongt various Tiste Andii disgusted Mother Dark. Mother Dark turned her back on the children of Darkness- Tiste Andii, when she created the Tiste Edur and the Tiste Liosan- Children of Shadow and Children of Light, and Anomander and a number of other Tiste Andii drank the blood of Tiam, the mother of dragons/Elients. With this blood, they became Eleint Soletaken; able to assume the form and power of a dragon at will. Mother Dark renounced her children at hearing the terrible change that they had wrought about- the blood of Eleints is that of Chaos; and ruined Kharkanas; the city of the Tiste Andii. Anomander defeated his rivals and lead his people to Wu, the nearest equivalent of what you would call Earth in the Malazan book of the fallen lore. At some point- probably at the persuasion of Lady Envy(One of the Elder God Draconus's two daughters), Anomander fought and killed Draconus, who had forged a silver hilted bastard sword known as Dragnipur that contained the realm of darknes, and the gateway, to protect it from the mindless force of Chaos that ever seeked to devour it. The gate of Darkness was ever pulled upon a wagon, one pulled by the souls of those slain by the blade. hundreds of thousands of years later, Anomander rules the Tiste Andii from an ancient K'chain Che'malle flying mountain-city, called Moon's spawn. For now, they are allied with Prince K'azz D'avore of the Crimson Guard mercenaries, and Caladan Brood with his varied mercenaries including the famed Mott Irregulars in a fight against the Malazan empire(An empire founded by Emperor Kellanved and his assassin companion known as Dancer- until Surly; commander of the empire's Claw assassins, assassinated them both and renamed herself Laseen), of whom an army lead by High Fist Dujek One-Arm at the behest of Empress Laseen seeks to conquer the remainder of Genabackis, and so ensure the empire is without enemies.

Character's universe backstory: I think this should be sufficient.

Just to play on the type of chaotic evil/chaotic neutral type of monster that Fenrir is, personality changes will be prevalent. Expect some kind of scientist/smart guy persona as well as a 'kill them all'/genocidal type persona.

Possibly, but at the moment we are stuck together. Although I can see one group full of cynics and utopianists with an "end justifying means" mentality that would split off and try to exploit this mess for their own goals but split up as the goals would be conflicting.

Correct me when I'm wrong, but here could be the two groups:

Dark Gray Moralists:
-Fray Felicidad
-Winston
-Ai
-Wheatley's Three Amigos

Light Gray Moralists:
-Fenrir
-Howard
-Ash
-Wheatley

Sorry, a misjudgment on my part. I thought since you've been in a bloodier and more destructive war with George, you'd know how far you'd truly gone. No doubt your character has had to do some very bad things to survive. Things considered unthinkable only ten years before. Just my analysis.

And @Mewsland, sorry, my iPod Touch is a bit of a screwup with autocorrects and such. I'll keep it to a minimum.

Brutally killing battalions of the king's soldiers after taking them prisoner yeah, but they suck. They tried to shoot us!

So we hung them with ropes too small so they would choke and their necks would not snap immediately

A dark hero fighting for the common good, really. Either one could describe him. Though he'd typically be what I'd call Light Grey.

World Background: The alternate reality Earth that contains the great nation of Sentinel XV is much stranger than one might expect. From the start, Earth was different. Instead of a singularity which formed the universe, we have the mythos of High Ascalon. In it, the Great Creator, Eu, forges the world from darkness and breathes life into the universe. To tell a long story short, an eternal war rages between the Demonic creatures and the Ancient Evils of the Burning Hells/Abyssal Plane, and the noble and righteous servants of Eu: the Angels. Since Eu's disappearance long ago from the realm of existence, it has been up to Arkos, Archangel of High Ascalon and the Prime Warrior of Existence, to act as Mankind's safeguard lest it fall prey to the ever-present demonic influence.

The Earth in the Sentinel XV universe progressed much differently than our own. Mankind united early on, forging the omnination of Sentinel XV to govern themselves. The ceasing of world hunger, of wars, and of national differences led to humanity's technological progression on a vastly enhanced and enlarged scale than in our universe's Earth. Magic mingled with technology for centuries until the Arcane Arts gradually began to be phased out, and it seemed that -- even though the figures of High Ascalon were not forgotten -- that the deities of the natural world would become lost. Light-speed travel was achieved, pushing the limits of scientific theory. Advanced weaponry was developed: from railguns, to energy projectiles, to low-grade power armor. Humanity began to colonize the solar system, starting with the Moon.

In the year 3021 CE, Earth was attacked. They came from beyond Mars: the pinnacle of mankind's space colonization, and swept the solar system by storm. The Protheus do not come from our solar system, not even our galaxy. From intelligence deciphered from their coded transmissions, the Humans eventually learned that they were interstellar pirates of sorts: taking what they wished, doing as they pleased, and leaving a trail of bloodshed and destruction in their wake. But could they be reasoned with? Obvious gaps in culture and communication ended in absolute massacre when the first human ships to make contact with the Protheus scout crafts were shot down without warning. The first diplomatic missions also failed, with the human envoys being executed. It seamed that the Protheus would not listen to reason. They were here for conquest. And as such, the First Galactic War began, with the human federation of Sentinel XV locked in warfare with the Protheus. The main battlefields were the Earth, the Moon, and most especially Mars. 20 years in, Mars fell to a Protheus Worldbreaker cannon, shattering the planet. The moon was next to fall, but instead of being destroyed, it is being used as a launching point for the Protheus assault on Earth. A century into the war, a group known as the Ironcore Resistance rose and began to systematically purge the Protheans from Earth. They were ultimately successful, and as such mankind gained its redemption. But they had lost so much: their Earth was ruined, and the Gods of High Ascalon themselves were destroyed by the Protheus race, victims of their own fate.. to save humanity, they had to sacrifice what they held most dear.

And so humanity began to rebuild, and soon Earth's ruined face was thriving again with pulsing megacities and space-ports.. but always in the sky was the shattered form of the planet Mars, an eternal reminder of the sacrifices and horrors of the First Galactic War. Humanity lives again in Sentinel XV, and they are all the stronger for it.

Character: All characters stem directly from Sentinel XV history and lore.

  • Morpheus: the mysterious Protheus (alien race) leader of PROJECT PROMETHEUS.
