The Tournament of Men and Gods (OOC/Signups Open)

Outside of every world, there is something, more a force than a being. He goes by many names, different for every world, but his true name is Inimicus. Inimicus is the embodiment of the paradox of existence, and reflects those that exist in all worlds. Meaning, of course, he can get bored. That's where you come in. You wake up, though you know who you are, you have no memory of how you got here. You look around, and notice many people also fading into existence and picking themselves off the ground. Suddenly, a strange man, with white messy hair, white messy clothes and white eyes that reveal a messy mind, appears, floating above the people in the room. He begins to speak. He introduces himself as Inimicus, and explains why you are here. He is bored, and is offering you a chance in a tournament, as well as transport to your home universe and a memory wipe if you decline. There is also something else at stake. If you manage to win the tournament, Inimicus has promised ultimate power, to the point where the victor will be equal to Inimicus. There is no punishment for losing, but all must wait until the winner is crowned to leave. This doesn't mean the losers must wait around for the champion to be declared, oh no, there are many interesting, and dangerous, things outside of, and hidden in the depths of, the arena, and since Inimicus does not patrol the wilderness outside, villains are free to take out grudges on heroes wandering the wasteland. The world of the arena has more to it than it seems, and sinister things are hidden throughout, things that could bring about the end of Inimicus himself.

As you've probably guessed, this is a crossover tournament RP, which has been done before. What (I think) hasn't been done before, is the fact that losers, as well as those not involved in a battle, can explore the tournament world, and the plot, which is more complex than whoever beats the sh*t out of the most people wins, and that's it. I am reluctant to upload a map of the tournament world, since your characters know nothing about the place, but I will post in the OOC what characters should find exploring. The tournament battles will be decided via votes, which you will TG to me, and battles will take place in a simple, sandy arena. I feel no need to post a list of rules, since I assume people know them already.

Oh, and I'm looking for co-OPs to RP both tournament characters and at least one exterior character related to the whole "bigger plot" thing I've been hinting at. I myself will RP a tournament character, Inimicus, and another guy who I wish not to reveal at this moment.

Short bio: Howard Alt-Eisen is a legend in the Rune-Midgard Kingdom. Renowned by his unparalleled smithing skills and his godly strenght, as well as his involvement in many world-changing battles. He was involved in bringing about the fall of the terrorist organization known as Fenrir, he participated in the defeat of the wounded soul of Thanatos and then participated along him in the final battle against Satan Morroc. He received permission from Thor himself to forge his hammer. He participated in the battle against the dragon who threatened to bring down Yggdrassil, Nydhogg. He died and then returned from the dead as a Reborn. He married an archer princess. And those are just a few of his adventures and achievements.
Appearance: This is one of the best images I could find. Or this, but he has an axe on that one, and in the manga, which is what I'm basing this character on, he uses a hammer.
Powers: His god-like strenght, that is so great he shattered the Tower of Thanatos with his hammer, and made the terrible Satan Morroc stagger and flinch with his fist. His power over thunder, granted to him by the hammer of Thor, Mjolnir. His powerful combat abilities as a Whitesmith. And lastly, his unparalleled smithing skills.

Short Bio:

Daniel was born eons ago, in the midst of an multidimensional war between gods to decide the future of the mankind. Not agreeing of being a pawn, Daniel stole and used on him the Tyrant Gauntlet, a forbidden relic that gives great dark power to the user at the cost of the loss of his sanity and purity. With this, he completely scrambled the rules of the fight, transforming the various dimensions in a living hell, with the help of the chaotic gods. But then the good ones stop him and trapped him into a status of binding, where he slept for ages completely frozen in time.
Woke up 800 years ago on Earth, he was tamed by a spell to his savior, still acting like a rabid beast; until one day the guy asked the reason for his madness. This caused a huge introspection in Daniel's mind that helped him to develop his Will of Humanity's power, and regain reason.
800 years after those events he lives a life as a paranormal investigator, although the affairs are not so great due to the lack of belief in the real society, and his reputation as a demonic destroyer in the paranormal society.

Personality:

Daniel can easily appear carefree, not really judging important the next thing he's gonna do, like someone who have already see everything. Also, this could bring up a humorous side sometimes, ready to do some one-line or joke, even if inappropriate.

If the situation get serious however, Daniel does too. He fights mostly defensively, trying to find the correct moment to pull in a combo of his powers and strike down the opponent in one quick shot. He considers the life of others important, and prefers to interrupt a combat to save someone.

With his enemies, he could have 2 different attitude: A respectful one, that reserves to opponent with honor that surprises him; and a cruel one for the rest of his foe.
The cruel one doesn't need description, since he tend to finish those. As for the respectful one, he jokes with his opponent, and sometimes gives even suggestion; he also left them often alive even if defeated, in order to meet them again. He often hopes his opponents will see his point in defending humanity even if he calls himself evil.

Powers:

Onyx Blade - A blade forged in darkness, Daniel use it to shape and control the Dark Energy. Can turn into a scythe sword during Daniel most devastating moves, fusing it with the dark angel wings. It can't be touched by anyone except the Tyrant Gauntlet user after its corruption; an incorrect wielder would be corrupted and destroyed by its power. Daniel can also recall the blade at his wish.

Tyrant Gauntlet - Normally a bracelet, it presents a big hole closed by a spiral gate, that opens when the user decides to call its power. It then emits Dark Energy and transforms into a strong black armor around the user, by 3 levels: A simple gauntlet, an armor for arms and legs, and a full armor except for the head with two black angels wings. The stronger part of the armor are without a doubt the arm where the bracelet is (left for Daniel), especially since Daniel can let his Will to pass trough the armor spaces to deliver incredibly strong blows. We already talked about how the wings combine with the sword, but Daniel can also use the plumes as dark daggers to control and throw at the enemies.
It's important to notice that there is a level 4: white flaming hair, red eyes, fang instead of theets and a tail that ends in a scythe. Combined with the claw hands and the legs, this permits Daniel to go on 4 legs and acquire incredible speed and agility other than a feral instinct. However, this mode is out of control, and Daniel can't use the blade or the Will; he uses this only as his last resort, since it also lose the reason to recognize friends and enemies.

Dark Energy - A dark and red energy that exit from the gauntlet. Daniel can shape it around the Onyx blade to create different and bigger weapons, or as tendrils to attack the enemy, or as shield and anything else he can though about. His favorite moves are the Onyx Reaper, where he combines the dark energy with the scythe sword to do a giant slash; the Covenant of Plumes, where he enchant the feathers-dagger to make dark explosions; the Yamato no Orochi, when he launches 9 parabolic attacks shaped like giant snakes to blast his enemy; and the Dark Omega Reaper, where he blocks his enemy, hits it with several dark swords and then envelops him in a giant dark explosion.

Will of Humanity - Mysterious power he discovered to have, Will of Humanity comes out in the most dire situation, combining itself with his weapons to perform outstanding combinations. Right now the only one he fully comprehend are the Denial of Fate, where he can use his Tyrant Gauntlet to parry the most brutal attacks; the Denial of Death, that permits him to regain his strength and senses at a step before death using his willpower; and the Denial of Existence, that output all his strength and willpower in a single devastating punch with the Tyrant Gauntlet.
Will of Humanity causes also blue flames to appear over his body, but those aren't the power, just a weird side effect.
