Uh, bats have eyes actually- not the best vision, just they mainly rely on echo-location.

Oh, I wonder if it's possible to have character that's kinda "batty". (Like a kind of creature that is heavily evolved from bats). A guy who could shape-shift/transform into this pic's creature below:

Image

Might be related to vampires remotely. Or I could just do a character that is only the aforementioned creature above. Because I tried to include it in another RP but the RP died cause Profectu got banned. And the future predator is pretty cool.

Name: Steele
Age: ~95
Gender: Male
Appearance: Image
Personality: Calculating, feral, ferocious, bloodthirsty, bent on destruction.
What you had to give up: His humanity. He is a Vampire, but a sentient and intelligent one.
Slaying Style: Feral Wind: some might consider it a crude method of guerrilla fighting, but Steele has perfected it. It requires immense speed and agility to pull off, coupled with the ferocity only possessed by a Vampire. Feral Wind encompasses swift movements, strong strikes, and being highly unpredictable.
Weapons: Uses two bone-handled knives that he was able to scavenge and create.
Bio: The vampire are beginning to evolve. Just slightly, but enough to where one in a million is born with intelligence. Steele is one of these rare few, and a born leader. He quickly disposed of his ignorant Hive Queen, installing himself as the King of one of the largest and most fearsome Vampire Hives in all of the wastelands. Under his guidance, the Vampires carry out planned and coordinated strikes, and work towards a single goal: the destruction of the race that left them to die. While his intelligence barely surpasses that of a 20-year-old human male, he is indeed an intelligent Vampire.

Can there be like a new vampire variant that looks like that creature I mentioned Earlier? Cause they aren't that different really, except my creature makes clicking noises and goes around and hunts with sonar, and he has claws for forearms, and same with legs. So like the thing off this vid: here.

This sounds like fun! I did enjoy the Priest movie, but only the beginning. The rest was okay.

Name: Zheng Yanyi
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Appearence: Long black hair, brown eyes, slightly tanned skin, wears a cross between traditional priest robes and his country's monk robes
Personality: Thoughtful, protective, honorable
What you had to give up: His honor
Vampire slaying style:(You make up the style) Baguazhang
Weapons:(Must fight your fighting style and no fire arms)
-Fenghuo Lun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Windfirewheels.JPG)
-Lujiaodao (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Deerhornknives.JPG)
-Jian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Jian_(sword).jpg)
Bio: The Yanyi family has been known for its practice of baguazhang, or the way of the Eight Trigram Palm, but none have been more skilled than Zheng. No one had brought more honor and fear than him. Trained by his older brother, Zheng soon became the pride of the Yanyi's, slicing through flesh as if it was soft butter. However, even this champion was not prepared for the vampire onslaught that destroyed his village. Stricken with grief and rage, Zheng disgraced his entire family line, both of the future and of the past, and joined the Priests, a hated rival of the Yanyi line.
Please comment on my novel, "Forever Lost"!

Cool! Finally able to implement operation awesome!

APP
name: Onyx
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Appearence:
Image

Personality: Cautious when hunting enemies with weapons, ruthless and cunning, as it has to rely more on speed and intelligence than strength, is protective of others of his kind, and generally stays away from the mutant strain of his subspecies, which generally hunt on their own.
What you had to give up: Hmm. Let me think. Compassion towards weak things/prey?
Slaying style:(You make up the style): Predonum venari, or Predator's hunt. This maintains little emphasis on strength, instead relying heavily on speed, manoeuvrability and momentum, in order to seem to be everywhere at once whilst shredding the prey and smashing it into objects which could cause it damage and all the while maintaining the ability to quickly counter the enemy's futile and seemingly slow attempts at fighting back. Sound plays large part, as Onyx's subspecies often struggle if there are many sources of loud noise and they're not allowed to readjust and get their bearings. They can hunt in most environments as such, with light not being a problem.
Weapons:(Must fight your fighting style and no fire arms) Claws, teeth, and incredible speed.
Bio: One of a strange mix of vampire, a strange evolution of the bat and vampires has lead his subspecies into creation. They first came from an underground cave system beneath an island on a lake, they gradually adjusted to hiding and killing the human population in the town above, until they eventually needed to expand to more abundant killing fields, and slaughtered the humans there. He remembers little of early life, only that he came into being for a purpose, and that the extinction of the Human race is something that will be brought about by him and the other creatures(predators) like him.

I am a bit undecided so I let you decide (if you like both, you can use the other as an npc if you want).

Name: Ignatius Korvalik
Age: 36
Gender: male
Appearence: Tall, gaunt, tanned, black hair with receding hairline, lined face with madness blazing in his eyes, dressed in a tattered priest robe with arcane symbols embroidered on it in red thread.

Personality: Driven, even manic at times, often seems to laugh at a joke only he understands.
What you had to give up: Parts of his sanity and parts of his soul. And his priesthood.
(He is considered a heretic but the vampires are considered the bigger threat)

Vampire slaying style:(You make up the style) Things Man Was Not Meant To Know aka Witchcraft.
Weapons:(Must fight your fighting style and no fire arms) Forbidden tomes, bottles of blood (to fuel his spells; vampire blood suffices), 2 ft.long ritual knive

Bio: Ignatius was a heretic even before the Time of Fangs, but only after the vampires started hunting humans he began to delve into the parts of his books about combat magic, knowing he would have to reshape his very soul to be able to wield it and some parts would be lost forever. Where he got his books, nobody knows. Rumor has it that he and another priest were tasked with opening a heretic's tomb and burning everything within it, and that he burned the priest instead. But the files are classified, so nobody knows for sure.

-

Name:Ragnar
Age: 54
Gender: male
Appearence: A grey furred 7 ft mountain of muscle somewhere between wolf and man. When he shaves his face and wears a cape and boots of even more fur he looks like a trapper, though his face still looks deformed like by too many punches or genetic defects.

Personality: Hearty, even jolly when he is well fed.Very relaxed and values the small things in life, like eating vampires with impunity and being strong enough to bludgeon them with cars. Develops remarkable tenacity when his hunter instincts kick in.
What you had to give up: His humanity, not that he had a choice.

Vampire slaying style:(You make up the style) Brute force and ingenius traps.
Weapons:(Must fit your fighting style and no fire arms) Teeth and claws, superhuman stength and a "No Trespassing" sign with sharpened edges. He can also build traps for various kinds of prey from almost anything and knows how to hotwire electronic devices.

Bio: Some say he was born a werewolf, some say he turned into one in his early youth. The village carpenter's was his adoptive family after they found him on their door, until he left the village when he reached puberty and the changes began. He vanished into the nearby mountains and for decades lived as a trapper, eating wildlife and the occasional camper. Other times he helped campers lost in the woods. That werewolves turn back into humans at day turned out to be a rumor, instead he transformed more and more into a wolfman. After a priest's attempt to kill him the tale about silver hurting him also turned out to be a rumor. Although he can be injured, he heals very well and rather fast (it still takes weeks to fully recover from broken bones and severed muscles). His main motivation for hunting vampires is that he can eat them without humans hunting him and to protect the humans he trades with.

To be honest, fire won't be as effective as you would imagine unless it was in a confined space. Smokescreens are useless, being as Vampires have no eyes. The sound effect would only be nominal, as it wouldn't be enough to deter the honed and specialized sense of hearing that the Vampires possess (indeed, they could pick out the sound of a pin dropping inside of a Las Vegas club at 3 AM). Smell wouldn't be effected much, either, unless you're burning diseased dead cows..

True. What kind of hives are we talking about here? I mean, I though vampire hives were pretty confined, consisting of many hallways and rooms. You are correct in the fact that hearing wouldn't be obscured, but I have to disagree with smell. I doubt that burning vampire would smell like perfume.

Anyway, I just don't like the idea of rushing into a open field with tons of vampires. That would be bad. No offense, New Roman :).

We attack at day, they wont be outside and that is how the priests really do their attacks during the day. The vampires would be in the hives so we walk in and kill vampires that simple.
