The flames absorbed the lightning as if it was nothing.
Thor looked to the girl and picked her up by the shirt, "What black magic are you using to prevent me from avenging the people who died in the building?"

It's not a flame barrier.
The flames are the destructive energy I'm have aimed at Han.
The barrier is in between you and I to stop you from attacked the person Caoimhe is interested in.
So you shouldn't be able to push me out of the way without either smashing through or negating the barrier first.
