Magenta's quiet reading session in the library had first been interrupted by the station-wide alert, which had earned a frown and a seconds of diverted attention, and then more rudely interrupted by something smashing through the station windows. The sudden presence of the vacuum of space forced Magenta to drop her book and act quickly and on instinct.
To that end, she summoned an airtight wall of crystal that ran from wall to wall. The wall spread over the course of several seconds, but it did it's job: Sealing the room long enough for Magenta to make it to the stairs. Coughing as she burst into the stair well and kicked the door shut behind her, she then heard the sound of blast doors closing behind her.
"I delayed the automated response to a vacuum for as long as I could," Kara said through a nearby speaker. Nodding and coughing as her everything healed from vacuum exposure, Magenta then staggered to her feet and dusted her dress.
"Thank you, Kara. You saved my life," she said, before quickly making her way down the stairs.

"Thank you, Kara. You saved my life," she said, before quickly making her way down the stairs.Fortunately for Magenta the guards stationed in the stairwell were professionals and didn't open fire at the first sign of someone coming down the stairs, though they were quite surprised to see her. The security system identified her as a teacher even though no one was supposed to still be up there, so at least they could be certain she wasn't some sort of infiltrator. Her presence was still very problematic because as soon as the enemy arrived they would activate the power suppressors to help keep them at bay, and without her powers she would probably be powerless. She would have to be moved to safety inside one of the dormitories and that would be a problem because the security system didn't allow for the doors to be opened until the threat had been dealt with.
Hansel reacted quickly, coming up with a plan to solve the problem. "Dominic, we need help out here, one of your colleagues is trapped on this side of the lockdown," he said into his radio after having fiddled with it for a moment.
Dominic appeared by the locked doors a moment later, quickly grabbing onto Magenta and moving both of them away again. The sensation of being teleported was quite confusing for most people who weren't used to it, it messed with your sense of balance, but they appeared safely inside the vigilante common room.
"What were you doing out there?" Dominic asked her, "didn't you receive the message, or hear the alarms?"
Meanwhile, Kara would find her access to the station's systems suddenly sharply decreased as something disconnected her from most of them.
Jenkins
"I think they call it magic, Markus," Jenkins explained when Markus asked what actual fuck was going on. "But I don't know if that is an accurate description or just hyperbole."
The strange gate-like construct seemed to be slowly siphoning energy from the copies of Antonio, though there was no visible change in it so far. Not that Jenkins really knew if it was supposed to visually change before anything happened, or if anything was even actually happening.
By now the intruders were outside, pounding on the blast doors. It would take them some time to get through, but even the blast doors wouldn't hold forever.
Tyler
Tyler looked troubled for a moment when Caitlin asked who could possibly be attacking the station. He couldn't help but think that it had to be connected to the Tokyo bombing somehow, which worried him a lot. If some nutcase racists were willing to nuke a city because they hated superhumans they definitely would want to attack the school as well, and they obviously had access to dangerous weapons.
"I don't know," he replied, "but I don't like this."

Corrian wrote:"Oh shit, you don't think it's the people who attacked Tokyo, do you?" Caitlin asked as if she had been reading Tyler's thoughts, but obviously she hadn't because she wasn't one with those types of powers. "Obviously they have a grudge against superhumans, so it isn't like it would be a stretch for them to try and attack here next" She said, looking even more worried now. "Happy birthday to me" She said sarcastically. "I will probably say this is the most eventful birthday that I've ever had" She said, shaking her head lightly.

Magenta said nothing for a moment, coughing softly as she regained her balance. Then, she flicked her hair back into place and readjusted her scarf.
"I assumed that the esteemed and professional security staff of this station would be able to turn away any threat," she said pleasantly. Then, she brushed some dust from her dress, before locking her gaze to Dominic's. Her soft smile took on an entirely different meaning when paired with a cruel, cold stare.
"And besides, I did not feel any threat to me," she said, a few small shards of crystal coming into existence behind her.
Markus
"Magic? Seriously? I like the version that steals peoples money more," Markus said, giving Jenkins a rather casual smirk.
Kara
Kara feel a spark of shock as she suddenly lost control of several systems. Diving into the network, she searched for the source of the disconnects. Nobody screws with this network but ME.

Caitlin gave a shrug of her shoulders. "Sure. Might as well. Might give us something more to do than just sit in here not doing much of anything, anyway. It's kinda hard to think about what to talk about while all of this is going on, or it would be nice to be here just the two of us" She said. "Maybe we can talk to someone else" She added.

Orinon wrote:"I noticed that," Markus replied, training his rifle on the door. Said door was then breached by something. Markus had no idea what it was, and expressed his shock in his own way; by firing a quick 5 round burst at the invading substance.
Magenta
"True. I was... Rather selfish," Magenta said. She then turned to look at the doorway as the gunfire stopped, before taking a step back from it when something pounded against it.
"Do not mourn those men now, Dominic. It'll weigh you down, when we need you to be able to move as fast as you can. Go. Make sure everyone else somewhere safe," she said. As she spoke, shards of crystal came into being around her, before snapping to her body. By the time she was finished, a crystalline chainmail of sorts had formed. She then clicked her fingers, a layer of crystal forming over the door at her command.
Kara
"What...." Kara was confused. The systems she lost control to were important, considering the situation, as was the lose of power to several others.
"This was deliberate. Alright then you little shit. If I can't get to you, I'll sure as fuck find your source," she said, before activating one of her core routines; a search and destroy program designed to find intruders in the system.
Altruistic Paladins wrote:"Well then, I have to alert the guards," Zhenya said with a grin on his face as he left the circle, bringing the boombox with him. After a momentary pause amid the dreadful noises, an exchange happened.
"I am giving you telepathic clearance on any entity in the stairwell," Makoto declared to Bramwell, receiving a nod as he executed the instructions. The purpose was intuitive even to Bramwell. A short distance away, they heard Zhenya.
"Hey, you can now fire from the hip or two guns or any other improper ways you can think of," Zhenya explained in a raised voice audible even at a distance.

Jay wasn't entirely sure he had heard all of what Thomas said to them, but he was pretty sure he got the gist of it. "There's a lot of guards to protect us. Them being guards, if whatever it is gets past them, why do you think that you'll have any chance against it? No offence," He said, rubbing his ears. He tensed when the station shook, and looked slightly alarmed, then nodded to Sarah. The noise was still annoying, but he had the biggest problem with sudden loud noises. Roady had now crawled under the bed, clearly freaked out by what was going on.
"I know I'd have a better chance than a guard if I could get to my normal equipment, maybe I can still do something if I can jury rig something." He says in a rushed voice matching the pace of the rushed construction. As the various joints were being hastily put together, Thomas began attaching any metal he had for armor, a patchwork of various alloys of varying effectiveness. "I do hope the guards can handle it, but I don't want to be idle if they can't." He continues, his accent flaring with his nervousness.

"That's a bit cocky," Jay said,"The guards are trained to protect us, and you seem to be assuming that they have no powers, which I don't think any of us know either way. And if you're not assuming, it's really cocky to think you're better then them all, anyway." He put his head against Sarah's shoulder when she gave him a one-armed hug. "Yes. We're being trained. We're just students. Even if we're trained to fight, we're new to it compared to the guards."
He gave a quiet sigh. As the noises and stuff continued, he seemed to get more and more alarmed, but wasn't sure what to do. Was it safer to stay here? He trusted the guards, but they were kind of cornered.

Altruistic Paladins wrote:Despite the panic among the intruders, Bramwell was incapable of understanding it. Since he had no context for their emotional reactions and thoughts, it simply was incapable of eliciting any emotional response. As far as he knew, they could be in a euphoria and he would not know the difference. What was more important was actually Bramwell's forcing the tresspassers to do things over their limp bodies. Since there was no noticeable difference in the perception of light, it took him only a fraction of a second before he knew how to cause perceptory black-outs among the intruders. Given the accumulation of dead bodies over those that became limp, so Bramwell attempted, there was a thought that the dead bodies might provide enough weight to make living ones entirely incapable of getting up again. It was hoped that this would steadily create a literal wall of their bodies that the intruders would have to push through again, thus causing moments where reloading was feasible.
Sakura's idea for holding-off the attack was meant to compliment Bramwell's. She kept a picture of the academy that she switched her eyes to for aportation purposes. With her attention, she aimed for the aportation of the means of locomotion-off the attackers. These parts were specifically meant for delivery to a location on the picture---one-hundred-and-twenty-eight meters away from the station. It was large enough that, even though she was inexperienced, she could see its coordinates in space still. It was more efficient in Sakura's knowledge since she only had the ability to aport around six-hundred pounds at a time, and thus aimed to maximize the amount of downed hostiles with each aportation. Sakura had only just attempted her first aportation, and she already felt sweat forming in anticipation of the heat.
Makoto, meanwhile, assisted in the plan by telekinetically letting the blades fly around the place. Makoto's efforts were focused on trying to find a figurative equivalent to the spinal cord, something which, when cut, would completely render any of the intruders harmless. The knives were well-weighted, which made the difficult task oddly instinctual as she moved her hands in some amount of synchronization of the knives' movements.
"Ah, this feels nostalgic!" Zhenya happily declared in reminiscence of the vampire attacks. Zhenya's part of the hastily assembled plan was much simpler. He simply put the boombox's volume on maximum and juggled the kukri as he stood between the stairwell and the three. His role was purely defensive, namely about holding-off any of the hostiles that went after the three while his boombox blasted 80's music, specifically a hard rock song by the name of "Welcome to the Jungle". He had a specific reason he brought the boombox, one that was not needed at that point. The anticipation that Zhenya had was palpable by the grin. For somebody who could very well die, he was very sure that he was not.
