Michiko stood there for a moment, "right shelter, findnwood for shelter," she felt goose bumps along her arms, this was caused by her simply being in the forest which she felt alienated in, and althoughshe ccouldn't tell for the first time in her life she felt cold. The trees extended everywhere and there was no difference between this direction and that direction to her. Sighing she picked a random direction and went to go find wood to make shelter out of. She felt like it had been hours even though it actually had only been a few minutes, and when she looked around it was clear she was not going to find her way back. "Shit," was all that she murmured before picking a random direction and began walking that way.

"I feel lucky that I don't have powers that are very noticeable most of the time, so the suppressors don't affect me very much" Cassie said, again looking worried about Josh. "You sure you're okay?" She asked, coming over to his side and half heartedly acting like she was trying to support him in case he got off balance. She was a bit uncertain if he really needed help so she wasn't really trying very hard to actually fully support him.

(Leroy)
Leroy turned to the new arrival, tilting his head. He hadn't known someone could enter the simulation after it had started. "You're too late to join the class, everyone's already teamed up," He said in his constantly icy-cold voice. "But you can tag along with me, I guess."
Leroy decided that it was time to start going around and seeing how the students were doing. First, he made his way to where Josh and Cassie were, and found them standing there doing nothing. "You're not going to survive very long, standing there waiting for cold or starvation to overcome you," He said, though not in a particularly rude way. "Do either of you know anything about survival?"

(Jay)
Jay seemed to be quite unbalanced and disoriented, due to not being able to use his echolocation. It didn't take him long to get over it, however. It was just like being blind before he had gotten his echolocation powers, after all, or when his powers stopped working, it was just kind of disorienting to lose his power all of a sudden. And so, he didn't really mind her using him to support herself, because he kind of used her to steady himself, as well. "No problem," He said, staring blankly off in to the distance. At least when his echolocation worked, he could sort of make an attempt to 'look' at people. He had no idea what he was looking at right now. He could clearly hear the sounds of the forest, and the sounds of running water. "I hear water over there," He said, pointing in the direction he had pinpointed it to be coming from,"I think it's a stream. Sounds to small to be a river. Maybe we could find water there later."

He tilted his head when she was saying he should stay there and then trailed off, moving his head so he was sort of looking in the general direction of her voice. When she took his hand and told him to come with her, he frowned. "I-I'm not sure....." He stammered, imagining the ground being covered with holes and sticks for him to trip over, but he didn't resist if she began to lead him.

(Cole)
Cole was relieved to feel his powers return, and he became more visible once more. "I'm dead, so to most people, no,I'm not alright. Death doesn't affect me though, so I'm fine, yes. We need wood. And something small and dry, like the shreds of a tree or something," He said, his eyes unfocusing as he looked up at the trees. "Green.....To my knowledge, people see heaven as white and gold and light. Heaven should be green, like an endless forest, with streams and mountains. And Hell should be a land filled with clear-cuts and skyscrapers," He said, actually making some sense for once.

(Seth)
Seth had totally spaced out Makoto. When the simulation started, he blinked out of his spaciness and looked at Makoto. "Sorry," He said, though he didn't really sound like he meant it. "Do you have any idea of how to survive in the wild? 'cause I don't."

(Simon)
"My name is Shade," Simon said, crossing his arms and glaring at her as if he thought he was better then her. "I know how to survive in cities, no so much in the woods. I know how to start a fire, and how to make a basic shelter. Go gather some wood," He said, not bothering to ask nicely. He, himself, began looking around for rocks that could be used to make a fire pit, so they didn't burn the whole forest down.

He's nice Iden said sarcastically. He was feeling kind of weak, and his voice was quiet. He didn't like the power suppressors, and no one knew he was there so no one would bother making an exception for a entity like him.

(Hunter)
"Yeah, we need wood for a fire and wood for a shelter. Vines too, if possible. How good is your sense of direction? If it's good, you can go that way and I'll go the other. If not, we should probably stick together," Hunter said, looking around. This looked like as good a spot as any to set up camp.

Sarah listened to Jay as he mentioned that he heard the sound of running water. She had heard it as well, but she hadn't really been able to pinpoint where it was coming from, so when he pointed in that direction, she smiled. If leading her to the water was such a simple task for him, then getting water was a problem that was practically solved.

"Yes, good idea." She said to him.

However, she also noticed that he seemed rather reluctant to go with her, judging by his words and the frown on his face. Her expression saddened a little bit. Surely he was worried about moving at all, now that he couldn't map out his surroundings with his Echolocation, which had been suppressed. However, she decided she would help him with that as much as she could, since helping him with it wasn't all that much of a problem to her. Thus, she let go of his hand and moved around him so that she was standing behind him. She then put her hands on his shoulders, as if to steady him somewhat.

"I'll lead you around and we'll walk together. If you fall, don't worry, I'll catch you." She said, confident in that catching him wouldn't be a problem. She was fairly strong, after all, even if she didn't look like it.

"Alright?"

Josh spared Leroy a glare as he shivered, his mind trying to latch onto a sense that was currently absent as he spoke, his voice shaky.
"Find shelter. Dry, preferably off the ground. Never caves, those typically have residents. Get a fire going ASAP. No fire before nightfall and you're basically dead. Find fresh water to boil. Don't drink it right away, there might be nasty shit in it. Lastly, find food. Don't eat any random berries you find, they might be poisonous. If you can, set up a trap for small wildlife. If you do catch something, use a knife or a really sharp rock to gut it, then cook it over your fire. Never eat meat raw." Rubbing his hands together in an attempt to warm them up, Josh then sighed and shoved his hands into his pockets once more.
"That answer your question? And do we get a knife or something? A blade would make this a hell of a lot easier."

"I'm still having trouble believing you're the son of Richard Mercilus, the man who heads Mercilus Oil and Gas," Sofia told Stephen as she lay back, staring at the roof.

"And why is that?" Stephen inquired, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh, I don't know," Sofia replied. "It's just that I figured the son of a billionaire oil tycoon would be more.."

"More what?" Stephen interrupted.

Sofia smiled. "More stuck-up. What, you didn't have an army of maids and butlers following you everywhere you went when you were younger?"

"When I was younger?" Stephen said, chuckling. "More like up until I left for here. It's suffocating, and I'm glad I got to escape it, even if it means.." He motioned to the Detention Room around them.

"And your father doesn't mind that his golden boy is getting into trouble at his new school?" Sofia asked jokingly.

Stephen scoffed. "That man hasn't cared about what I do for a long time." He crossed his arms.

"I didn't mean to make you upset," Sofia said in a more serious tone. Her curiosity was suddenly twinged by that last part. "And what do you mean, for a long time?"

"Since my mother died, at least," Stephen replied, almost coldly. "That really hit us both hard. She was like the communicator of the family, so it all sort of broke apart after that. And instead of dealing with his issues, he buried himself in work, leaving me to do whatever I liked." He finished the sentence with an almost mocking tone, as if he were quoting his father.

"Sorry to hear that," Sofia awkwardly replied. She wasn't very good with matters concerning parents, as she'd grown up in an orphanage. "That can't be easy."

"It isn't," Stephen said plainly. "But at least I'm away from it here." He turned to her for a moment. "What are your parents like?" He asked curiously.

"Never really knew them," Sofia replied plainly. "My father died before I was born, and my mother when I was about six. After that, I made my living the best I could to make a living, as it were." She motioned her hands in a lock-picking imitation. "When I was around twelve, wait... yes, twelve, I was brought into an orphanage. It put a roof over my head and food in my stomach."

"Sounds like a nice change," Stephen observed.

"I hated it," Sofia said, laughing a bit and smiling. The food was awful and the clothes were itchy and it always seemed like it was raining. We did go on trips, sometimes, though, like those ones to the lake where the others would toss rocks and splash me away." She maintained a happy look on her face while saying all of this, like she was reminiscing about happier times. "God," she continued, laughing a bit, "I was such a chubby child. Ate any food I could get, for a while. I guess old habits die hard."

"Oh, um," Stephen stammered. "I'm sorry that you had to go through that. No one should have to go through something like that."

Sofia shot him a sort of look that seemed half-amused and half-surprised. "Ah, it wasn't so bad," she continued. "But thank you, anyway."

"I must admit, I feel a bit like an arse," Stephen told her. "Complaining about getting too much attention from my servants when you had to go through something like that."

"Quite alright," Sofia calmly told him. "We all have our troubles. Don't make me let you feel like your problems aren't important, either. I'm sure if I knew my dad, I'd have my share of issues with him too. Although, from what mama said, he seemed reasonable enough."

"How did he die, if I may ask?" Stephen inquired, immediately realizing it might be a tad personal of a question. His face tensed up a bit after the revelation that bringing up one her her dead parents might bother her.

Sofia gave him another sort of seriously? look. "A car accident, I'm told."

"I'm sorry, that was-" Stephen began to say.

Sofia stopped him. "Look," she began, "I like you. You seem nice. Quit putting so much stock into what I might think. If you've a question, ask it. It seems like we'll be in here for a while, so we might as well get to know one another." Stephen didn't seem to understand what she meant. "Fine," she continued, sighing. "What's your favorite color?"
"And on the pedestal these words appear:
'My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains..."

"Do you know how to do this stuff?" He asked, glancing at Cassie. 'Over time I will teach you what fruit and berries are safe to eat. I also won't force anyone to kill and animal in this simulation if they don't want to," His glance at Cassie became more pointed with this,"But I feel it's my responsibility as a survival teacher to sometime teach you how to hunt or make traps, as little as I like the idea myself, but perhaps we can find a way to do it that won't be so upsetting."
He then turned his attention to Josh's question,"I don't care if it would make it a hell of a lot easier, it's not supposed to be easy. But for this lesson, I'll give you knives. But I have a question. Do you always carry I knife with you? "
He changed some settings and one person in each team had a knife appear in their hands.

(Jay)
Jay tilted his head ever so slightly when Sarah changed her position, then gave a nod. "Alright," He said, somewhat nervously. Suddenly a knife appeared in Sarah's pocket. Jay took a cautious step forward, trying to get his bearings.

___"I see that you are obviously impressed to the point of speechlessness. Please, stop, I mean, start talking. This is getting uncomfortable, standing here, nothing done," Taylor mumbled Vern as she waited for a response, with none initially gained. Her response was odd, initially with remaining boastfulness in place as it faded away into awkward attempts to get Vern's reaction.
---
___"Well," Makoto stated with a pause. It was clear that they were not not immediately spawned at the beach, instead within the low-lying trees. "Scouting is first. Getting an understanding of what resources are available in the immediate area is important. Tell me if you find any flowing water, animals, small trees, fruits, debris, or potential shelters. Search within a forty-meter radius of where we are. Are you clear?" Makoto asked Seth as the ideas became clear. It was not much, but it was a start.
---
___"Sakura!" Bramwell yelled before Sakura ran to his side. They were in a beach-area where the sounds of waves as water spilled on a consistent interval.
___"What did you find?" Sakura inquired, interested in the results.
___"Would you follow me please? I remembered, I mean, got an idea," Bramwell asked as a grin came across Sakura's face.
___"Well, I have an idea of my own, one related to the question of water. I get the impression that this class will be short, so I will just say that we do not know where the high-tide is. Hell, the programmer, no, designers probably did not plan for anybody to be in here long enough to actually have to program anything like that. Heck, the beaches are clean of debris, probably because, if there was anything of use, it would have just thrown a wrench in the works," Sakura contemplated alound as she followed Bramwell as both of the two jogged along the beach, a clear goal in mind.
___It was clear that effort was made to avoid stepping in water or wet sand since they remained several meters away from the water in case the designers actually did program a tidal cycle. Aspects of either idea just made it worth avoidance to the two.
___Leroy's idea to have knives appear in one hand on each team encountered an error with the team of Bramwell and Sakura. Only one of the two had a closed palm at the moment, and that one was wiping rheum out of an eye, causing a blade knife to suddenly appear in Bramwell's eye socket and in portions of Bramwell's frontal cortex, promptly sending Bramwell to the white-room. He figured that the reason was that he had regenerative abilities and thus the simulation considered him to still be in the simulation despite the length of time for such an event being longer than the simulation's running time.
---
___"What?! It was your idea!" a flannel-jacketed man accused before a man carrying a screwdriver in one palm and his face in the other.
___"I will get my axe," the man in glasses said as he proceeded to acquire the bladed instrument and proceeded to strike the pod with glee.
---
___"What happened?" Bramwell asked as he suddenly appeared back in his body half a minute after the event, a knife on the ground several feet away and a note that fell onto his stomach. Sakura was at a distance from Bramwell, her sunglasses lying on the ground.
___"Please not run with knives," the note read. Sakura was left with only one possible response as she carefully approached Bramwell, a look in her eyes so uncomfortable that the emotionally-blind Bramwell understood Sakura's feelings.
___"B.L.A.M." Sakura stated with an uncomfortable chuckle. After a minute and a reminder, the two went back to pursuing the objective, now with a knife that was not within Bramwell's eye socket.

Sarah smiled again when Jay agreed with her, and a bit more when he gave his first step. She was a bit surprised and also a bit confused when suddenly there was an extra weight on her pocket, so she took a moment to pat it. It felt like a knife. She found it rather odd, but, since it had suddenly manifested in her pocket, just like that, it was probably part of the simulation. Either way, it would likely be useful, so she was thankful for it.

Now that Jay was willing to go with her, Sarah led him around the forest. Whenever she found some loose wood that seemed good enough to get a fire going (Not that she was terribly good at judging that sort of stuff, she wasn't too familiar with forests, despite having been in some before), she had Jay stop, picked up the wood and handed it to him, before leading him around again.

"...I think that's enough." She said at one point. "We should probably find shelter next, but I'm not sure how to go about that. Do you have any idea?" She asked.

As Jun realised what sort of lesson the other students were doing, she got more annoyed about missing out. She had done a lot of camping growing up; quite a lot of what the other boy was saying was familiar or at least made sense to her, although a few bits and pieces sounded debatable.
The stuff about using rocks as tools sent her mind wandering through. A sharp rock. With her powers, would Jun even need a knife? He had never consciously tried shaping rock; floating earth and pebbles was the best she could do. But on the lake she had created that massive spur; apparently the local council was still deciding whether or even if they could afford to remove it. That was pretty conclusive evidence that rock shaping was something she was somehow be able to do. Jun could make her own knives. Hell, she could make her own caves, and trust them to be entirely free of 'residents'.
If only she could use her powers here Jun could start practicing, experimenting or whatever you wanted to call it. That was dumb-as, she thought. Sure suppressors and other stuff existed that could switch a super's powers off, but they usually needed a big power source and you wouldn't find one in the wilderness. Odds were if you were in a place like this in real life you wouldn't have to worry about suppressors and, if you were being suppressed, there were probably more important things to worry about than building a tent.
Standing behind Mr Talisman, Jun kept quiet but did give the boy and girl he was talking to a friendly shrug and attempted a supportive smile from beyond his view, just so they didn't think she was trying to give them a hard time as well.

"To be perfectly honest I have no idea." Thomas said as they were placed out in the wilderness. He felt the power surpressors activate, feeling like he was just smacked on the back of his head, and sighed "I was going to propose I try lighting a fire with some electricity, but I suppose that's out of the question." He starts looking at the forest around him "I think we should look for some shelter before fire, fires not too useful if were just out in the open." He takes a couple steps out, cracking a few sticks underfoot.

He kept looking around, hoping to maybe find a cave or some form of collapsed trees. He hoped it wouldn't rain or that Leroy would sick some wild animals on the students.

Tyler felt a little bad for Cole when the strange boy started talking about being dead. He assumed that it was some manner of mental issues connected with having powers that made him seem ghost-like at times. His suggestion that they gather materials to build a fire was a good one though, even thought Tyler felt that it should be their second or third priority. Then Cole started musing about the color of Heaven, expressing how he felt that heaven should be a green endless forest. And Hell apparently should be a clear-cut area with lots of skyscrapers. Tyler assumed that Cole just preferred the woods over the big cities, which seemed rather logical for someone who obviously didn't like being around other people very much.

"Everyone's got a different idea of what Heaven should be like, I'd wager," he said, making sure not to mention his own thoughts of Heaven to avoid causing an argument or anything.

"Now, first of all I think we should try to make ourselves easy to find, that's one of the most important things when you're stuck out in the wilderness and want to be rescued." He paused for a moment to listen. "I think I hear seagulls so we should try to find the shore. That's where people would be most likely to discover us, boats sailing by or whatever. Let's get going, and grab anything dry you find along the way so we can get a good fire started when we get there."

He started making his way through the trees and the foliage, making sure that Cole and he didn't lose track of each other in the thick forest. He was somewhat surprised when a knife suddenly appeared in his hand, but he just figured that some of the others must have complained about the lack of tools and Leroy had caved to their demands.

Ali's last day on Earth had been spent with zir sisters, discussing how they were going to cope without zir 'magical' money making powers. Ali had never quite understood why they were so obsessed with keeping zer there to make money. Ze'd made enough to support them for years if they didn't spend it all at once. Then they'd all gone and watched a movie, which had been a thoroughly unpleasant experience and a waste of zir last day. Then ze'd spent the night before the journey staring out the window, wondering if ze could see the school from there.
The resulting tiredness had caused zer to fall asleep while the sky still seemed blue due to the atmosphere, and to wake up when the space station had begun to loom not far from the shuttle. From here, the surface of Earth spread out flatly beneath, with the places ze had spent zir life in reduced to mere pinpricks in a huge swathe of green and grey. Ze felt faintly sick looking down on Earth like that, so for the remaining part of the journey ze just stared straight at the station as it gradually became bigger. Once it reached the station, however, ze regretted not taking one last glance back before stepping off.
"Mi-" Ali turned around to face the guard just as he paused. "Navarro?"
Ze expected that the files probably marked zer as male, which was likely confusing. Ze was wearing zir nicest dress.
"Yeah?"
"Welcome to the Academy for the Empowered. Here's your schedule, map and dormitory keycard - you'll have missed the first few lessons of the day, so you might as well just go to your room and unpack." He handed over zir baggage, a small card and two pieces of paper. "You're in the hero dormitories - that's level 2c."
Ze studied the keycard for a moment. "Which dorm?"
"The hero -"
"You know what I mean."
He paused and looked at zer again, squinting slightly. It was a look ze knew well. "They've put you in with the girls."
"And you did that fully knowing I'm neither?"
"I'm not personally -"
Ze grinned at him. "It's okay, girls tend to be a little more accepting. A little. Not that much. Thanks anyway."
The dorm room was surprisingly small - the size reminded zer of how it had been when ze'd been very young, before ze'd started making money appear from thin air. After unpacking, ze laid back on one of the beds, hoping that it wasn't the bed of whoever ze was sharing the room with. The schedule said that there was currently a simulation going on, but it had started long enough ago that it was pointless for zir to join in now. Instead, ze amused zirself by replicating zir alarm clock several times and hiding the copies around the room in the hopes that it would annoy whoever turned out to be zir room mate.

"What do you mean, you've never seen Jurassic Park?" Sofia asked Stephen in an almost aggressive tone.

"I just never saw it," Stephen replied. "Dinosaurs really aren't my thing."

"Aren't your thing?" Sofia replied. "I figured all guys liked dinosaurs, at least when they were younger."

"Nah," he said. "Never really liked them, even growing up."

"I don't see how," she continued. "They're all so interesting, and varied too. They went from the size of chickens to apartment buildings, for heaven's sake." She looked over to see that he had a less than interested look on his face. "Fine," she added. "What do you like, then, Mr. Cool?"

Stephen laughed. "I don't know if I'd go that far. Although, if you must know, I'm a bit of a movies nut myself."

"A movies not?" Sofia asked, chuckling. "Like what?"

"Oh, you know," he began. "Predator 2, Waterworld, movies like that."

Sofia gave him a confused look. "Those movies were awful.." she replied, in a slightly confused tone.

"Precisely," he told her. "Although, it has to be the right kind of awful, not like some of the newer stuff that's made."

Sofia, still not understanding fully, nodded. "Different tastes, I guess." After she said that, they were quiet for a moment. "I still think you should see Jurassic Park," she added. Stephen laughed and rolled his eyes.

Josh snorted, before swaying in place.
"I'm alright," he said automatically. He gave Cassie a rather amused smirk. "Goltia's having issues, is all." Looking at Leroy, he then pondered the question.
"Honestly, yes. Normally, I wouldn't need a knife. I would just superheat the air around a finger to a few thousand degrees and use that. But, since you so very thoughtfully set suppressors on, I'm forced to use normal means." Bouncing the knife in his hand a few times, Josh then gripped it tightly and looked at the blade.
"My father and brother taught us a lot about surviving. Figured we would need it at some point. Plus, it meant that we could go camping in the woods without too much hassle. We can cut branches with this, given enough time, for a lean-to shelter. Among other things." Eyeing his reflection on the blade, Josh sighed before lowering it down.

Jordan had finally managed to get his fire going, and he put some kindling on it to hopefully keep it going for a while. Looking around, Jordan could find no trace of Michiko anywhere. Thinking that she might have gotten lost, Jordan grabbed a stick, and dipped it into the fire, making a torch. He then headed into the nearby forest to try and find Michiko.

"Michiko? You out there?" He kept yelling, hoping that she would either hear him or see the fire that he was holding. The forest was somewhat dense, but it wasn't particularly dark. He hoped that he wouldn't set any of the trees on fire as he continued to search for Michiko.

By the time Jordan had returned with the stuff to start the fire, actually get it going than make a torch that was reliable, Michiko was way to far away for her to hear him. She was lucky in one way, she had good broken in but sturdy shoes which made it so her feet would have a hard time blistering. After a bit she ended up finding a stream that was trickling by, getting down onher knees she began to drink using her hands as a cup.
Broadside dead ahead!

Cassie shook her head lightly, but remained silent when Josh started giving his responses to what Leroy said when he showed up, and she came closer to Josh's side. When he talked about making traps to catch animals, she twitched, and frowned. Especially when he started talking about gutting it. She really hoped that she wouldn't have to gut animals herself. She doubted she could actually get herself to do something like that without chickening out or getting sick altogether, and preferred not to even think about it. Especially when thinking about it made her remember other grizzly sights she had seen in her life. Like what she had done to her parents...And sometimes even what her father had done to her...

Cassie heard what Leroy said just barely over herself blanking out for a moment, and she gave him a faint smile but it was clearly a shy, uncertain smile. She gave a faint nod of her head at the rest of what he said, because she didn't know what to add onto that, even though she briefly wondered how they would make it not upsetting and thought of asking him how they planned on doing that.

Cassie saw the girl standing behind Leroy, and gave her a quick wave and one of her shy smiles, but didn't do much beyond that.

"I wouldn't worry about teaching me too much, Leroy..." Cassie said to Leroy, rubbing her hands together. "I think Josh can teach me" She said, glancing in Josh' direction and smiling shyly yet again. Beyond that, she didn't say anything, and just stood right by Josh' side, staring down at the ground after what she said.

Andrew
"Sounds like the best idea we have right now. I mean, I don't even know how to start a fire or anything, so I doubt this will go smoothly" Andrew said, stepping forward as well, glancing around to see if there was anything obviously useful for their benefit. "What are we looking for, anyway? Shelter wise? I don't think a cave will be the easiest of things to find in this place..." He said, letting out a sigh. This class was so silly in his mind. The hell did they need to learn to survive in the woods for? If he could help it, he preferred very much to hang out where things were actually civilized, not completely wild. Apparently he didn't have a huge response to the knife showing up in his hands.

Jodelle
"That doesn't sound like a real name" Jodelle said, crossing her arms back at him. If he wanted to act all like crossing your arms meant you were somehow so tough, she would do the same back to him. "Oh yes, I'll get right on that, self-proclaimed leader" She huffed, rolling her eyes at this asshole who called themselves "Shade", and heading off to gather wood anyway, because it was the best choice for her to do work, anyway.

Seriously. He's like a beacon of happiness and friendliness Jodelle thought back to Iden as equally sarcastically. She looked at her hand in surprise when a knife appeared in it, and blinked for a few moments, but still unsure where it came from but figuring it would probably be handy.

Do you want to float some of the wood back so you can do something? Jodelle asked Iden

Cassandra was waiting down on Earth for the shuttle to arrive, her luggage set up next to her where she was waiting. She had already said her goodbyes to her parents, which hadn't been the easiest, more for her parents than herself. But it was still hard for her to leave. Her parents always cared about her, and took good care of her. But it was time to move onto a new chapter in her life, and this was it. The biggest journey she could possibly imagine occurring in her life. Going to school, in a space station, in space...

Right now, she was outside, having a smoke. There were a few reasons for that. It was a good way to relax herself when departing her family, and she was a bit nervous about the flight. It was a flight to space, after all. It wasn't like that was a normal thing to be doing. But on top of it all, there was also the fact that she had this distinct feeling a space station wouldn't be all too fond of her bringing this sort of thing on board, and she expected to be stopped before entering the station. So this could easily be her last smoke altogether. That thought had mixed feelings in her mind. It would be a good way to get her out of her addictions, but there was also the fact that, well, it was addicting, and she didn't feel like just stopping. If she did end up being forced out of ALL of her addictions at once, it could get pretty ugly...

A little while later her shuttle arrived, and she threw her mostly finished cigarette on the ground and crushed it with her foot, extinguishing anything of it that could light something on fire. As it pulled up, she took a deep breath and pulled her suitcase along with her (A big one at that), heaving it into the shuttle and putting it away, then sitting down somewhere in the shuttle alone. Not that there were many people here right now, anyway, but she made sure that she was sitting alone.

Once she got all settled and comfortable, she pulled her headphones back over her head and ears, instead of around her neck, and turned her music back on. Unsurprisingly, it consisted of death metal that she turned up to 11. Specifically Gojira-Explosia at the moment. She was, however, listening to the entire album, that was just the current song playing. She relaxed against the back of her seat and stared out the window as they ascended to space, marveling at the sight of Earth getting farther and farther as she blasted her ear drums off. Space was so peaceful and beautiful, yet she was marveling at it while listening to death metal of all things.

Eventually she arrived to the space station, and she flung her headphones off of her head again, keeping them around her neck. She turned down the music to be respectful once she got onto the space station, too, in case they heard her music blasting. Well, not in case. That was pretty much a guarantee. She collected all of her belongings and headed off of the shuttle and onto the space station, once again marveling at the fact she was on a damned space station of all things, and how awesome it looked.

She approached the security checkpoint, and looked a bit nervous because she was pretty certain she wouldn't just get through this checkpoint with no problems whatsoever. That seemed rather unlikely. But it was worth pushing her luck as far as it would take her, either way. She put her suitcase onto the scanner, and walked through the security checkpoint.

Two things would occur at once. One, the guy who checks the bags would see what appeared to be alcohol bottles in her suitcase, and likely drugs like cocaine, tobacco, possibly heroin, and so on. Stuff that any normal teenager of 16, yet alone an adult should be carrying around in their freaking luggage of all places. There even appeared to be needles to inject herself with inside of her bag. Also, various different packs of cigarette's were scattered throughout her bag.

Two, she walked through the metal detector and set it off, which seemed to confuse even her. She raised an eyebrow, but automatically did what she expected they would want her to do, and put her hands up so they could use their silly little portable black metal (Hah) detecting tool on her to find what was setting off the scanner.

But before they could do anything, she realized what set it off, and wanted to hit herself on the head for not thinking that through. She reached into her pocket, but did so carefully in case they got antsy about her doing that, and pulled out her cigarette lighter, instantly going back to raising her hands just in case until they told her to do otherwise.

The lone guard manning the security checkpoint was somewhat surprised when the new arrival's luggage went through the scanner and was found to contain traces of half a dozen different illicit substances. While he was still trying to wrap his head around how and why a teenage girl would get her hands on so many illegal drugs the scanner she stepped through went off as well. For a moment he seriously considered just telling her to go back home right then, but he knew he didn't have the kind of authority to do something like that. She seemed to figure out what had caused the alert and pulled out a lighter, which failed to surprise him at all really.

"Put the lighter in that tray and step through the gate again, Miss," he told her. If she wasn't carrying anything else out of the ordinary she would be allowed to go on through, though her bag would be staying there until everything in it could be thoroughly searched to make sure that there were no drugs or other illegal items hidden inside of it.

Cassandra did as told, putting the lighter into the tray and walking back through the scanner. This time, nothing at all went off. She seemed a bit relieved, because she wasn't entirely sure if there wasn't other stuff on her somewhere that might set the thing off, but obviously there wasn't. But she wasn't about to just simply leave. She was going to push her luck for as long as she possibly could, which she had a feeling wouldn't quite go as well as she envisioned it potentially going in her head.

"What are you going to do with my luggage?" Cassandra asked him in a way that made it very clear that she knew her luggage was full of illegal items, and wasn't just going to simply go through the security checkpoint without any problems whatsoever. This is the part where she would begin choosing her words wisely, to try and push her luck as far as it would take her.

"Traces of substances not allowed on the station have been discovered in your luggage," the guard replied when Cassandra asked what was going to happen to her luggage, "so standard procedure is that we search it manually. Due to current events we don't have the manpower to spare on that so it will have to wait. When the search has been concluded your luggage will be returned to you." Having explained what was going to happen to her luggage the guard then grabbed a package from the table next to him, the same kind of package every new student received.

"Now, please come with me, I'll show you to your room," he said and headed for the doors.

"Figured..." Cassandra muttered to herself in a whisper. Now, to try and see how well she could push herself, instead of going along with this man right now.

"And what might be these substances? Everything? Have you ever thought of the fact that maybe weening a substance abuser off of all their addictions at once may be a very bad idea? Can you imagine the problems from withdrawal? I wouldn't think that would be a good idea to throw that onto a student like that. And have you ever thought about the fact that maybe the concept of these drugs being illegal substances don't make sense when things like alcohol and smoking are perfectly legal, even though oftentimes they are worse than drugs themselves? Also, did you know that high fructose corn syrup, something found in practically everything these days, is as addicting as cocaine? Why is it okay for us to have that in our foods but when it comes to wanting to smoke some weed it is a crime, when marijuana hasn't been known to kill anyone? That whole concept in society is a really, really messed up and illogical one"

"So what I'm trying to say is, maybe we should work this out in a different way? Do you really want a girl going around the school with major withdrawal issues? I swear that if you let me keep them, I will restrict my usage to my room. If I don't, then you can take them away. And if I can't keep them, can I at least keep the illogically legal substances? And besides, we're in space. The laws of Earth don't apply to us anymore. Up here, are any of these substances even technically illegal anymore? Just think about all of this for a moment" Cassandra said, watching him closely, hoping for the best but expecting the worst.
