"Alright you get to build a fire, I can easily collect things to burn that is fairly easy to do, it'll get cold at night which normally wouldn't be a problem for me but I'm pretty sure temperature affects you," she replied to his comment.
Broadside dead ahead!

No, this comment is not meant to be sarcastic.

Terintania wrote:Jay put his arm around her and kind of gave her a one-armed hug when she said it made her a bit sad. "Well, at lease we can do this class together. I'm glad you're feeling better," He said, tilting his head as someone else entered the simulation and spoke to Leroy. It wasn't a voice he recognized, so he figured the guy must be new, but he couldn't be sure.

Sarah smiled slightly when Jay gave her a small hug to cheer her up a little. Truly, it was very nice to have someone worry about you like that, and it was difficult not to be happy about it, even though making others worry about you shouldn't be something to feel good for. Either way, she returned the hug. "Thank you." She said happily, not really noticing the new arrival.

What she did notice was the interruption of their powers. While she knew they had been told they would have to get through the class without them, she hadn't actually thought that they might just cut them off while in the simulation. And as always, it was a rather disorienting sensation, as she could no longer sense the presence of others by feeling their rushing blood and their beating hearts, now she could only tell they were there by seeing or hearing them, like any other person. For someone so used to an aspect of their powers that was ever-present, it was a disorienting sensation indeed, but she would have to get used to it, for now at least.

Sofia snuck down the hallways of her new home, her powers making her invisible to the naked eye. So far, she'd been quiet, enjoying the everyday trivialities of school and being a teenager. She'd changed since she arrived; when she'd gotten there, she was suspicious of everything around her, and was angry with the government who'd sent her there just so they could use her as a more powerful weapon.

Things were a little different, now. She'd softened up a good deal, no longer making strategic plans of escape and combat every time she'd entered the room. She let her hair grow out, and the bright red hair dye fade in favor of her own natural color, a sort of auburn. Rather than the slimming suits she wore on missions, baggy sweaters and black jeans were now what she wore. She'd taken up reading as well, to pass the time. Downloading "classics" she'd heard of but never had the time to read, she spent many nights looking at the glowing screen of her laptop, the one thing she truly cherished from her life in Belarus, reading the stories of Harry Potter and Jurgis Rudkus.

That day, however, she woke up with a certain sense of... discontent. She simply felt bored. Nothing of her itinerary captivated her attention for long, anymore. She needed to do something exciting. Something sneaky.

So, she continued down the hallway, evading detection by those walking it with her by virtue of being invisible. One by one, she entered the classrooms of her teachers and looked through their files, downloading what she could on a thumb drive. It was exhilarating, breaking the rules and gathering information. Just like old times she thought, with a shiver rushing through her body with it. This, she though, is living.

After she was satisfied with the "intel" she'd collected, she jogged back to her room, figuring she might as well skip the rest of her class. At the moment, she didn't even remember what it was. She slipped in some earbuds and listened to a few albums her best friend she'd made since arriving, Cassie, had introduced to her.

EDIT: Sofia's appearance has changed a lot since I last posted, so I thought I'd add this photo for reference.

___Makoto just marked it as another strike against the teacher, though that failed to compare to complete obliviousness of students' mental disorders and the condemnation of informed consent. Still there were other matters to attend, namely the issue of Seth. Something about the name just seemed wrong--a name only expected for leading henchmen of a villain. Still, she tried to keep her expectations in check, being the one wearing the fedora in spite of negative associations, as he momentarily surveyed the outfit and hairstyle of this newly assigned partner.
___Because of the surveillance, Makoto accidentally gave an unusual stare at Seth. He held out a hand to the noticeably taller person, still no words exchanged.

"Well, cold isn't really a problem for me, but we will need a shelter, or else it will eventually become a problem. How about you gather wood for a shelter and I'll gather wood for a fire. Whoever finishes first should help the other." Jordan suggested.

Jordan wondered what kind of environment they would be put in. Obviously there would be a forest, but would there be a freshwater river nearby, and would they be given any tools? He had to keep many options in mind as he thought out how they were to survive.

Jenkins stopped mind-stride in one of the corridors when he was informed that one of the students had been detected doing something she wasn't supposed to. Sofia Nikitas was her name. At any other school her ability to turn herself invisible would likely have made it easy for her to get away with her little crime, but the headmaster had wisely insisted during the reconstruction of the Academy that they needed ways to keep track of invisible people as well. He had been proved right. Jenkins turned on his heel and headed for the stairs. As he walked he also made a mental note that he would have to send out another message to all the teachers reminding them to be more mindful of IT security, and not to use the actual word password as their password.

A minute later he was standing outside Sofia's room. He didn't bother knocking, he just opened the door using his superior security clearance. The young culprit was listening to some music with her earphones on and he didn't yet know if she had noticed him or not, but he suspected that she could at least hear him.

"Miss Nikitas," he said, still standing in the doorway, "you have been breaking the rules of this Academy. Please return what you have taken."

I think you're crazier if you never talk to yourself at all," With that, he turned and walked over to Elizabeth. "I guess you get to be stuck with me, seeing as we're both going to be overseeing the class. He looked around the class, about ready to start throwing people together since they didn't seem able to choose teammates on their own.

Then another thought crossed his mind, and he walked over to Dominic. "Is there a way to prevent the students from using their powers, or would that require time to do?" He asked.

Andrew froze up when Leroy walked over to him after his comment to Elizabeth. Yeah, maybe that wasn't a good idea to open his mouth with Leroy around. And like Leroy said, especially after that stunt he played with Cassie earlier. He didn't have a whole lot to say to Leroy, though, and just gave a general, simple, sarcastic reply to him.

"Yes, yes, whatever you say teacher" Andrew rolled his eyes slightly and said no more, though it was clear by the expression on his face that he was in fact not in the mood to do anything stupid again around Leroy, because he didn't trust it going very well.

Shade realized that the choices for teammates were running out fast, so he headed over to one of the few people left: Jodelle. "I see you're still looking for a teammate," He said, crossing his arms and looking her up and down. "I guess you'll have to do. I'd probably do this better on my own, but I don't think I'd be able to get away with that," He said.

(Iden)
Iden floated around in the white room. Guess we have a teammate, He said, floating down next to her.

Jodelle huffed at the guy who came over to choose her as his teammate when he looked her up and down. After being alone for so long, people looking her up and down was something that had started bothering her. Mostly because she had some creeps do that before, but she didn't really see this guy as being a creep in that way. But either way, she didn't really like him all that much at the same time. He just gave off a...bad vibe.

"Yes, I am still looking for a teammate. Guess we might as well be teammates" She said, giving off a shrug. I guess so. I don't really like him, though. He makes me uncomfortable. Something feels off about him She thought to Iden

"Yeah, I'm here" Cassie's small, quiet voice chimed in reply to his voice that carried much farther than her own. She gave an uncertain smile at him and came over to his side. It seemed like she was uncertain about the class, which in her case, wasn't a particularly surprising and unusual thing when it came to any sort of simulation class that she was a part of.

"I don't think I'll be very useful as your teammate...But I'm glad we got teamed anyway" Cassie smiled shyly at her words.

"Same," Josh replied with a large smile, before dropping his voice's volume. "And, last class... I'm sorry for not trying to find you. Me, Tyler and Thomas got into a fight... Grace won." He then rolled his shoulders and looked around.
"So, what do think the simulation will be on? I wasn't paying attention why am I so cold?" Josh's voice shifted mid-sentence as the effects of the simulation's power suppression kicked in.

(Cole)
When he power suppressor was activated, Cole immediately let out a gasp and collapsed on to the floor of the white room. He seemed to sort of flicker for for a bit before fading so much that he was hardly more then a dark mist. He climbed weakly to his feat, blinking. It was lucky for him that being a ghost was more then just his power, or else he probably would have just died again when the suppressor was activated. "So cold," He muttered, his voice hardly more then a whisper.

(Leroy)
Leroy looked around the class, tilting his head when Cole collapsed and faded from view. He stupidly hadn't taken into consideration what that might do to someone with powers like Cole. "Is it possible to add Cole to the people no suppressed in this class, like you did with me? I don't he could cheat much with his powers, and I don't think it's fair to make him do the class like that," He said, gesturing to the mist that was the only indication of where Cole was.

Regardless of whether or not Dominic could or not, once Dominic did either way, he went on to start the class. Once he started it, each team found themselves in various places in the forest in the simulation. Obviously the test wouldn't be about seeing how long they could survive out her, because that just sort of wasn't plausible, and would more be about teaching them HOW to survive, and seeing what they knew, themselves.

The forest didn't contain anything particularly notable, just general forest stuff. For now Leroy let the teams get their bearings a bit and get started before going around and checking on them.
Times are looking grim these days~

Cassie smiled shyly again, and ran her hands together. "At least you probably know some survival. I haven't really had any experience unless you count cooking for myself and pretty much taking care of myself for about a year or so at home as survival..." She let out a sigh at the memories, and even looked a little angry about the memories. She let out a huff and moved on from the memories. "It's okay...Jay and I just hid in a corner together and talked...Nobody ever found us so we were safe" She reassured him, though she raised an eyebrow when he said that Tyler, him, and Thomas got into a fight, but Grace one, though she didn't feel the need to ask what he meant by that.

She fiddled with her pocket again as Josh spoke and let off a shrug. "I dunno...A forest maybe? Seems like a good survival location..." She shrugged yet again, and she started shaking from being nervous some more. She closed her eyes and tried to use her powers, testing to see if they worked, since she had SOME control over them now, then opened her eyes again. "Power suppressors" She told him, and bit her lip slightly.

And then, shortly later, the class started, and her theory of where they would end up had been clarified. They were in fact in a forest, and she let out a small smile.

"I guess I was right" She said when she turned to Josh again.

Jordan was excited to get started. Without waiting to hear Michiko's response, Jordan was off in the simulation, wanting to look around for anything that he could use. He started off by finding a tree that had loose bark and low branches. He tore off some bark, and broke the branches into small pieces. Then, at the site where they had appeared, Jordan started to get to work on the fire. He set down the bark, grabbed grabbed some sticks into a pile, and started spinning a stick on the bark near the pile. Jordan knew that, if he got so much as one ember, he could keep it going for a long time. He would just have to be patient.

She turned and stood up from where she'd been sitting and pulled the thumb drive from her pocket. "Here," she said, handing it to him. "Here's all I've got."

Jenkins took the thumb drive from Sofia and put it in his pocket. While he didn't exactly doubt her when she said that the thumb drive was the only thing she had any stolen information on he still wanted to make sure by conducting a full search of her room. Unfortunately all his men were busy with more pressing concerns so it would have to be postponed for a little while, and he didn't want to give her a chance to destroy any evidence or even send the information on if she had any more.

"There will be repercussions for this," he said calmly to her. "Two months detention for stealing this information, and another two hours for skipping class. You probably won't get expelled though, not unless you've been hiding something else. I'll have to talk with the Headmaster about that."

"Please follow me, Miss Nikitas." Despite his calmness and cordiality it was clear that it was not simply a request that he spoke. Then he turned to walk out of the room, stopping to make sure that she would follow instead of trying something stupid.

John
John was not particularly happy about the lackluster information he was given on when the evil chosen one could appear, since the information essentially amounted to 'when it happens it'll happen'. They still lacked a few of Antonio's fragments and he suspected that nothing would happen until everything was in place to open the gate. This meant that the preparations had to be started immediately.

"Come along, we have word to do," he ordered, and then he headed for the gym. Though he hated the thought of endangering the safety of the students there simply wasn't any time to redraw the plans to carry out the procedure anywhere else. He hoped that the guards would be able to keep everyone safe.

Dominic
When Leroy asked if Cole could be added to the list of people who the simulation allowed powers, Dominic just nodded and made it so.

"There, all set," he said.

When the simulation started properly and everyone was transported into the tropical forest he just waited to see if Leroy wanted any help with anything.

Tyler
Tyler looked rather confused when Cole fell to the floor and basically disappeared, only a faint shape remaining of him. When he noticed that he felt heavier than usual he assumed that they must have turned off everyone's powers and that was why Cole was acting so weird. Before he could really get an idea if Cole was alright or not the simulation started and he found himself among a lot of trees. Cole was the only other person there and Tyler wanted to make sure that he was alright before starting to actually do any sort of survivalist stuff. Not that Cole ever actually seemed entirely alright.

"Hey Cole, you alright?" he asked.

Suddenly, rather than being in the immaculate white vastness that surrounded her previously, Sarah found herself in a serene forest, trees surrounding her and Jay. Some rocks and pebbles were found here and there, and she could hear the sound of rushing water somewhere off in the distance. She could also hear birds chirping and other animals of the forests roaming around... But, as odd as it may sound, that the only thing she could do was to see or hear them, when she was used to being in tune with all life around her (Or at least, all life around her that had blood running through their veins) was disorienting, to say the least.

Still holding onto Jay's hand, she wrapped her arm around his and supported herself with him for a few moments, until she was focused enough to cast away her unrest for the time being.

"Sorry about that." She said afterwards, letting go of him and sitting down on a nearby log. "But anyway, we're here. We're in the simulation now." She told him, just in case he hadn't noticed, though it was more than likely that he had, since, being blind and all, his hearing was likely much more developed than hers and could catch the noises of the forest easily.

After a few more moments, she stood up. "I guess I should go look for some wood, you know, to get a fire going. I think you should stay here and..." She began, but trailed off at the end, thinking of something else. If the point was to survive by working as a team perhaps it would be wiser to take Jay along, and besides, she had just gotten an idea that might help Jay feel useful and necessary, seeing how he probably felt like the exact opposite of that in the simulation. Thus, she walked up to him and took his hand once again.

"On second thought, come with me." She said, smiling. Perhaps she could make him feel better about himself this way.

She really hoped he wouldn't mind carrying the firewood, though.

___With the appearance of the island before them, some ideas, formed at various times, came to mind. For all that the island was, it was oddly proficient at stimulating the procession of ideas that flowed forth from its pseudo-inhabitants.
___Seth's complete lack of response to the outstretched hand inspired a conception in Makoto's mind. Something about Seth was forgettable; that was sure. This lead to a conclusion that Leroy's decisions were outright detrimental to the ability to work in class, ignoring the already stunning amount of incompetence on either his part or the school's that resulted in his being entirely blind to students' mental disorders.
___Taylor had less-luck, namely because of the new partner initially failed to render within her pod. That changed when Vern suddenly was rendered and the delayed-quesiton was asked, an act which inspired her opinion to drop instead of the technology. This was actually the fault of that person in the flannel jacket from earlier, but that was not relevant.
___"So he wasn't being a smart ass?" Taylor said in an attempt to distract from the boy, keeping her eyes elsewhere as they darted back and forth in an odd distraction as the helmet distorted her voice. Her old school left her decidedly at a social disadvantage already, and forced Taylor to collect her thoughts. The way Taylor interpreted the situation was not of benefit. Sure, her own ignorance on the topic of wilderness survival would be less apparent. She never was a member of a scouting unit. Taylor was not in JROTC. She basically had no knowledge of what to do, a partner being a way to deflect her shortcomings. The problem was that the person claimed to have some experience, which reflected negatively on her. With thoughts collected, she put on a persona.
___"I survived the forests of New England and mountaineered in the Alps without safety harnesses!" Taylor proudly proclaimed before she tried to divert potential inquiries. "I cannot see how any of that would help since we are neither in a snow-covered deciduous forest nor in an alpine area." The problem with the statement was, though accurate, the first was not survived due to her own competence and the later was poorly-done.
___Sakura and Bramwell, on the other hand, were having a pleasant time. As the walked around seeing what was available in the immediate area as they tried to see what types of plants were in the area and what was washed-up on the beach, the later being an abject failure since the island had none. As they did so, a topic-came-up in the conversation.
"This whole idea seems doomed to failure," Bramwell stated in an oddly inconclusive manner as the two avoided any steps made onto wet-sand.
___"Tell me about it. This whole idea was doomed from the start. It is going to flop like that last art-class all over again without direction," Sakura stated as Bramwell got a short chuckle, a defensive blush made as Sakura defended in that rural accent, "What?! I said something stupid again? Just forget I said anything!"
___"No, I was talking about the effort to see if any useful trash was on the beach. Maybe the designers randomly spawned useful molluscs along the beach, or maybe we should get to digging holes to catch rain in-case there are no viable sources of fresh-water that come from something other than fish-eyes?" Bramwell inquired, the smile still held by his face. "Though I find that your observation is clever."

Andrew
"So what exactly are we supposed to be doing? Grabbing sticks and starting a fire or something?" Andrew asked Thomas stupidly, as if he completely missed the memo that this was a survival class. "I figured we'd be given like, specific tasks of survival, but okay, whatever. I can go grab sticks or something" He said to Thomas, giving off a shrug at him.

Jodelle
"So, I probably should know who I am working with. What is your name? My name is Jodelle" Jodelle said to Simon, but not offering a hand to shake because she didn't really like him enough to care. "You know any survival?" She asked him curiously

Caitlin and Kira
Kira and Caitlin both looked around at their surroundings, taking in their location and trying to figure out where exactly they were. After they both looked around for a bit, they turned to each other and instantly started formulating a plan.

"We need a firepit and firewood" Caitlin said, and Kira gave a nod of agreement. "And before it gets dark, we could use a shelter" Kira added in, and Caitlin nodded in agreement this time. "I'll get the firewood, you get the general firepit area made" Caitlin said to Kira, and Kira nodded. They were both acting really serious about this and acting like they were working hard and fast, but Kira couldn't help but start laughing at their quick planning and seriousness about it all. Caitlin shortly followed with her own laughter.

"We really are getting into this" Kira laughed, and Caitlin nodded. "That's good. Means we can work effectively" Caitlin added into the conversation. They both agreed and then actually got to work on their separate jobs, Caitlin getting the wood and Kira starting to build a firepit area.

"I noticed," Josh said, shivering slightly as he adjusted to the shock of being deprived of one of his senses. Leaning against a tree, Josh looked around once more, his eyes taking in what was around them.
"Right. So... What do you think? Is he going to teach us, or just dump us here and teach us to survive? My money's on the second one," he said. A small smile then crept onto his face. "It's been a long time, and I'm sure some stuff won't apply, but me and Goltia used to go camping in the woods on our estate when we were younger. Would spend days out there by ourselves." Pushing himself off the tree, he swayed for a moment, before smiling and wandering to where Cassie stood.
"Let's wait for instructions, I guess. Not much better to do."

Cassie looked at Josh worriedly, but didn't say anything because she knew in her head that he was fine, it was just that the power suppressors actually noticeably affected him more than it did for herself, and he needed to recover. But that didn't stop her from her being herself and looking worried about him either way, because that was just how she was.

Cassie listened to Josh and gave a small shrug. "I don't know..." She looked around uncertainly, not really sure if they were supposed to do something now or wait for instructions, because she was the type that would wait for every little indication of what they were supposed to do before doing it, because she didn't want to do something she wasn't supposed to because she didn't wait long enough to get the full details. She could recall a few times with her father when she did exactly that and he got impatient with her, though, even though she wasn't clear on the instructions....She cleared her head and focused back onto what Josh was currently saying.

"I want to go camping..." Cassie frowned deeply and hung her head. "My family never took me camping, even before...you know, everything" She put her hands in the air, as if indicating everything by hand gestures. "Or hiking, really. I want to do both someday. I want to go camping and I want to go on a hike. Maybe someday..." She let out a slight sigh.

"Sorry, I need to stop moping all the time" Cassie added, and she let out a sigh yet again. Her hands were shoved into her pants pockets, and she gave off a shy smile at Josh, and something seemed like it was on her mind.

"Yeah. We can wait for a while and see if he gives us instructions..." Cassie said.

Sofia remained calm as Mr. Jenkins told her about the consequences of her actions, with skipping class and stealing the information. She figured, even as she stole the info, that she wouldn't get off scot-free for what she'd done. She just needed a break with normality, and now, with this talk of detention, it would seem that she'd get it. She didn't know what the Agency would say when they found out, but she figured it wouldn't be good. After he finished speaking, she nodded her head and followed him.

Jun was sixteen years old. She had discovered her terrakinesis a week ago. One of the many questions she had asked since discovering her powesr was whether she had always had these abilities without knowing, or if her power manifestation was the beginning of her new life as a super.
With the shuttle lifting off and Jun departing the world of her birth on a journey she had never ever imagined taking, Jun had her answer. The Earth, with all its stone and sand and mud and molten rock, had never felt so far away. Suddenly the only stone for a million kilometres around her was a collection of pebbles in a velvet pouch tied to her belt. Since that day in the lake she had tried to recreate some aspect of whatever she had done during the Iron Man. All she had managed was floating a few pebbles, and none from further away than a dozen metres. Yet even stones and earth far beyond her range of control could still be sensed. Now, Jun felt like she stood in a vast darkened room in which her pouch was a box of matches.
The stones themselves were from Mount Tongariro. Yesterday Jun had spent her last day on Earth climbing the volcanic slopes, pausing halfway through the eight-hour hike at a spot overlooking the Emerald Lakes. To the North she could see Lake Taupo and the town she grew up in on its farthest shore. There she sat and took a last look at her home. When she moved on, the pouch had filled itself with stones from the slopes. Obsidian, quartz, granite and others, in sizes ranging from near sand-grains to one shard five centimetres on its longest point. Jun didn't control any of them on a conscious level; they just came.
She sensed the station during the shuttle's final approach. Not stone with its warm, reassuring coarseness but something else; something cold, sharp and smooth - too smooth to hold onto. Was this what so much metal felt like? She watched it through the tiny window, a massive grey gently turning spinning top. She felt rather than heard the thud of the landing gear setting down in the hangar. There was a few minutes' pause and then the hatch at the front of the cabin hissed open onto a set of stairs leading down to the hangar deck. One of the hangar staff was waiting with her bags at the bottom of the steps, holding a clipboard. "Good afternoon, Miss - ah - Jun?"
"Huang," Jun corrected, "My mum and dad are Chinese; 'Jun' is my given name."
"I see. Sorry; that always had me kind of confused. Anyway, because the cloud at Cape Canaveral delayed your launch by a few hours, you've missed the first few classes for today. Most of the students're in sim just now so you might as well use the time to get settled in and unpacked then see what's next on your schedule."
He handed her a piece of A5 paper with a table on it. Jun took a glance and set about folding it up into her pocket. "Thanks," she said and lifted her holdall over her shoulder while extending the suitcase handle.
"Just take the lift up the dorms," he instructed kindly, then went to join a group of technicians connecting up a fuel pump.
The dorm was cramped. 'Cozy' was the word Jun wanted to use but it just kept coming out as cramped. She didn't especially fee like unpacking at just that moment but if she didn't her suitcase would end up blocking the limited floor space and, she suspected, pissing off her roommate, whoever she was. So she put away her clothes and few other belongings before going for a shower and, with the sweatiness of travel washed off herself, found a bean back in the common room and started scribbling in her journal.
After about five minutes she took a look at her schedule. The simulation class had actually started only a few minutes ago. It was possible Jun could still join in with whatever was going on. Flipping the schedule over to show the floor plan on the reverse side, she took the elevator up into the station proper and navigated the corridors until she found the correct room and thumbed the control panel to open the door. The room was filled with large egg-shaped capsules. Most of them were closed with students visible through the Perspex domes. They looked to be asleep.
No-one was watching the class but a few of the pods held adults Jun took for teachers. Without knowing what to do, she found an open capsule and studied the well-picked-at sticker on the side which detailed the instructions. She had heard of immersive VR simulations like these but thought they were just a toy for the rich and famous and a training tool for big companies and militaries. Jun never expected to try one herself.
She had been doing a lot of things she never expected to recently. Jun climbed into the pod, which closed automatically.
Suddenly Jun was in a white space, wearing the same clothes she had on when she entered the pod. While on an intellectual level she knew this was a simulation; the word WAITING... printed on the floor (insofar as such a thing seemed to exist in this holding program) in front of her was a giveaway, Jun still felt entirely herself, albeit even more cut off from the earth than before. Obviously there was no dirt or anything in this space.
Whatever Jun was WAITING... for must have happened. The white space disappeared and she found herself standing on grass in the middle of a forest. To one side she could hear crashing waves. The whole thing remainder her of a trip her family once made to Milford Sound. And there was earth! Jun could feel it; wanted nothing more than to rip great clumps of it from the ground and send them spinning through the air propelled by her will. Only she couldn't; something was stopping her. Jun had passed through a couple of suppression fields while at Cape Canaveral; she recognized the uncomfortable feeling of having her powers switched off.
Standing behind her was a tall, dark-haired man who she had seen in one of the pods and guessed to be a teacher. She approached him and, feeling a little awkward for having shown up unannounced and not sure of the protocol - if any - for turning up late to lessons in a school computer, said, "Hi, uh...I'm Huang Jun; I'm new here - just arrived. The shuttle was delayed because if weather. My schedule says I'm meant to be here?"

Drasil nods and pulls Midgard with him as the two follow behind John.

Alex

As the trees appeared around them, and the grass beneath their feet, Alex looked around for anyone else. He saw no one else, apart from Hunter, who was stood next to him.
"Well, let's go." He said. He looked around the floor, for anything he might be able to use. "I guess we need firewood - right?" He asked Hunter, as the guy claimed he had knowledge on the subject.

Jenkins led Sofia into an elevator and then pressed a button to bring them up to the brig. After he had swiped his keycard to confirm that the elevator was operated by someone with the clearance to access that floor, it started moving. He didn't say anything during the ride, but she would also quite easily notice that he didn't seem to actually be angry at all. Soon enough they reached the brig and the elevator doors opened to reveal a very spartan hallway with several large doors along it. Two other guards were patrolling the area, and there were power suppressors active as well. He ushered her to move forward.

"You will start by serving your two hours of detention for skipping class," he explained to her as they walked. "We will let you know if the teacher has any work that he wants you to do because you missed a lesson, as soon as we have had a chance to speak with him." He stopped in front of one of the heavy cell doors and unlocked it. The cells were painted white and furnished somewhat similarly to the regular rooms in the dorms, but everything was bolted down and clearly had been designed entirely with function in mind. There was another person inside, a boy who looked to be close in age to her. "You will have to share a room with Mister Mercilus here for a couple of hours, there are no unoccupied ones right now," Jenkins said.

When Sofia had entered the cell Jenkins shut the door behind her and locked it.

Stephen sat alone in the Detention Room, staring at the wall. The room itself wasn't empty, as he sat contemplating what had brought him there. It wasn't his first time in detention, but this particular visit felt different to him. He couldn't tell why, he'd been sitting there like he always did when in detention, so he just continued to stare at the particular spot of wall he'd been looking at.

Suddenly, the door opened, and the man Jenkins, who brought him up there so many times, showed a girl about his age in. She was short and thing, with long auburn-brown hair. He told her that there weren't any empty rooms, so she'd be sharing this one with him. She and he locked eyes for a moment. He saw a sort of look in her eyes that showed she was almost resigned to the situation she was in, but she maintained a sort of calmness to herself. After Jenkins left her in the room, she sat on the opposite side of the room as him. For a moment he looked at her, but averted his eyes when she turned toward him. For someone with super strength, he thought it was stupid to be sheepish.

Sofia sat in the detention room, with the boy who Mr Jenkins had identified as "Mr Mercilus". He was tall, and sat quietly on the opposite corner of the room where she'd sat. She almost caught him taking a glance at her, which she found almost amusing. She hadn't worn makeup or really paid any attention to her hair, so why he'd be staring at Sofia was beyond her. She decided to break the uncomfortable silence with a greeting.

"I'm Sofia, by the way," she said, with a small smile. Stephen nodded nervously. "So," she continued, "What are you in for?"
