Tyler wasn't at all sure what to make of Cole's answer to his question, but he chose to interpret the confusing disjointed response as a 'no'. Since Cole apparently knew nothing useful he hoped that his own basic knowledge would be enough. The government had forced him to learn some basic survival skills while he was imprisoned by them, a part of their plan to turn him and everyone else they had kidnapped into perfect little soldiers. Someone who couldn't stay alive out in the wilderness wouldn't make a good enough soldier for their purposes.
"Don't worry, I know some of that stuff," he said to Cole, "just follow my lead, okay?" He then looked around, noticing that a few of the new students seemed to be having trouble finding partners and thinking to himself that Leroy really should try to help them with that.

John calmed down a little when another copy of Antonio popped up in a burst of light, but he was still somewhat wary of the whole situation. This new copy was obviously frightened of something, and the novelty of it's method of appearance was further cause for concern. There was something strange going on with this new one and he wanted to know what.
"Who are you?" he demanded sternly of it.
