"Don't worry my boy. The Cia doesn't hate you they just want to control you like Coka-Cola or McDonalds. You also need not worry about Ozzy Osbourne as he is either a member of the Illuminati or a stoner. SInce the remaining Illuminati are just working at the last few 5 million Starbucks and stoners can't do nothing you have nothing to fear whatsoever." Wilson finished interjecting his own weirdness into the mix in a slight mature yet insane voice. He yawned and took another sip of his fruit punch.

"You know what I'm tired. See you guys all later I'm going to go unwind the in the commons room." Wilson finished as he began to walk out. Before he was out of the gym he waved back to the group before beginning a quick walk to his room. When he arrived he quickly changed into a grey t-shirt and some basketball shorts. Picking up his laptop as he left, he walked to an then reclined on a couch and loaded up some CADing software and begin to design whatever popped into his head.

"What does an organization that existed not even into the nineteenth century have to do with rock? Heck, why is Starbucks associated with them? Sure, Ozzy probably was a stoner, but how is that related to that? What does the Company have to do with either of those corporations? Uh, why do I listen to the paracusia?" Bramwell asked as he tried to figure out the intentional nonsense Wilson put out there. At that point, Bramwell fell out of his chair after a momentary loss in balance.

"Eh, Sakura, I think that only a psychiatrist is going to convince him that he is not hallucinating. Could you get him to the infirmary?" Makoto asked as Sakura teleported out of the room with Bramwell, Makoto now able to talk to Wilson. She took her time as she forced herself to the hero commons. She really hated the idea of talking about her generally abysmal abilities in telekinesis. Routes were longer and every water fountain was a delay. Makoto delayed herself quite well as minutes disappeared without explanation. She eventually entered the hero commons, and another detour to change outfits was done. By the time Makoto took an erected posture at the couch Wilson sat. The colored-lenses' presence was not noticed by Makoto. She was clad in black trousers, a dark grey cotton shirt, and a black cap. There was a wait for Wilson to initiate the conversation first as a wait for his completion of his task began.

Caitlin smiled and gave a nod when he said it sounded great and told her his room number, and at the same time readjusted her new laptop in hand so she was holding it better to take back to her room. She followed him up until they needed to separate, and before they separated he gave her a kiss on the cheek which made her smile. "It's not like I'm going away for a long time, Tyler" She teased him, giving him a smile before starting to head towards her room. "See you in like 10 minutes tops" She said, and then disappeared when heading towards her room.

Caitlin got to her room and looked around, setting her laptop down on her desk. Then she moved on to changing out of her costume, though she wanted to definitely keep it around because she really loved it and she felt like it was now a way to remember good memories later in life, along with it being something she was very proud of working on so much and it coming out successfully. She changed into some clean casual clothes that was fairly nice-looking, but that wasn't too surprising with her because she was sort of someone who typically wore casual clothing but also picked out outfits she thought looked cool.

After she changed she sort of stood there for a moment, smiling to herself and looking rather happy. This night had been so great. The Halloween night had ended up going in a different direction then she had anticipated but that wasn't a bad thing in the slightest. For one, the night was ending with her officially having a boyfriend. For two, she had won a freaking laptop! She couldn't believe how well the night had gone, and it wasn't even over yet. She never realized quite how much she would be happy to have a boyfriend until she actually had one. She hoped for the best in their relationship, and she was hoping it would last for as long as possible as one of those cute, adorable young couple relationships she saw in the movies that seemed so perfect all the time. Of course, movies were different from reality, but she could still dream.

Figuring it was time to stop daydreaming about stuff and time to head to Tyler's room, she did exactly that, arriving to his room in no time at all. She quickly headed to his door and knocked on it 3 times.

Cassie
Cassie closed her eyes, hoping that doing so would make her mind feel as if she was alone, making her feel more comfortable with dancing. It appeared to be working somewhat, and she slowly started to move in what appeared to be more of a slow ballerina dance then a dance appropriate for a dance party like this, but it looked like she was rather good at it even though she wasn't even doing a lot right now. Her eyes remained closed as she moved slowly, blocking out anyone who may be looking in her direction because they thought she was good at dancing, or weird for dancing the way she was at a party like this, which let her continue to dance without feeling uncomfortable about it because people were watching her. She started to smile, and it was very clear from that alone that she loved to dance. That dancing was a form of escapism for her. It kept her mind off things, and it was her way to go to a different place of peace and quiet, with no tormenting thoughts, worries, and so on. If there was one thing she loved in the world, it was to dance. Any time she danced she just wanted to continue to dance for hours and hours, and just like how she felt in Hunter's mind world where she never wanted to leave, at times she never wanted to leave the world that dancing put her in. Never wanting to go back to her life, and to somehow just escape into her own little happy world forever to never come out again.

Thomas was enjoying himself on the dance floor, and certainly was hyped up on a bit more than enough sugar. He started getting a headache, which he attributed to the sugar, and started walking back to the sides. He decided to get a drink of water to help clear out his system, and grabbed a cup. The water didn't help too much, and Thomas headed over to the bleachers. Now what the hell is going on up there? he thought as he layed down for a bit, trying to get it back under control.

Sadly, it didn't get much better, and he was near tearing at his head with uncomfort nearing on pain. He began walking over to his dorm room, head throbbing on the way. His vision started to get blurry and dizzy as he tried to navigate himself through what was happening. He smacked his head against the wall of the vigilante commons as he stumbled his way to the room, groaning.

He passed out on his bed, sprawled out on top of the sheets.

Maisie had watched the announcement of the winners with a great amount of clapping and cheering. Hunter had definitely deserved to win and she wasn't surprised that he had. His performance was spellbindingly beautiful and it was pretty easy to tell how much effort had been poured into that exquisitely detailed costume. He definitely deserved that prize, though she wouldn't be surprised if the costume had cost more to make than the laptop. Either way, she made up her mind to congratulate him after he was done talking with that girl; she didn't want to interrupt any potential romance. She gave Tyler and Caitlin a quick congratulations on winning, but she wasn't sure if they had heard her through the cloud, so she simply skipped energetically back into the crowded dance floor and bounced in time with the beat.

She noticed Hunter dancing too after a while and figured that they might as well be friends, seeing as they had talked a number of times she couldn't remember. To celebrate this new friendship she bounced up from behind him, and then hugged him. "Well done on winning!" she said cheerfully.

Hunter lost in his dancing when suddenly he was being hugged. He nearly fell over from being hugged mid dance, then turned to see Maisie. He smiled at her and chuckled slightly. "Thanks," He said happily. He then held his hand out to her,"Want to dance?" He asked. It wasn't like, a romantic dance invitation, more an invitation to a friend to dance with him for fun. He considered Maisie a friend, but he also kind of considered everyone a friend. Doesn't mean it wasn't nice to be his friend, though.
Times are looking grim these days~

Maisie took the offered hand with a wide smile. She didn't take the question as romantic at all and would have been quite surprised if it had been - after all, they barely knew each other, and at the moment she definitely thought of him as more of a friend than a love interest. "Thanks," she said, squeezing his hand gently. "So, um, how do we dance? This better not be a slow dance. I'm pretty clumsy, we'd end up on the floor in about fifteen seconds." The Twins

Josh watched as Cassie danced slowly, his mind being flooded with thoughts, emotions and memories. One memory, in particular, concerning the last girl he had-
"Josh. Stop." Goltia's voice shook him from his thoughts and, thankfully, rather painful memories. Looking up, he saw his sister and Grace both looking at him, their faces full of concern.
"Sorry. I just..." he muttered, before slumping in his seat, suddenly very tired. After a few moments, he stood and dusted himself off.
"I need real food. And sleep," he said. Goltia nodded, watching as her twin walked off. Feeling a slight tugging, she looked up at Grace, who was tugging at her jacket sleeve gently.
"I wanna dance," she said. Goltia smiled and stood, pushing Grace off her lap gently. Taking her hand, Goltia lead Grace to the dance floor.
"I take it you don't want high tempo?" she asked. Grace shook her head.
"You remember high school 2nd year? Those dance classes?" she asked.
"Uh huh, I think I do," Goltia said, nodding. Grace smiled, then curtsied. Goltia extended a hand, which Grace took, before the two settled into what appeared to be a slow waltz.

Josh, meanwhile, made his way to the elevators. Frowning when the first one refused to be called, he jumped into the second one and went to the cafeteria. Entering the almost empty hall, he approached where the food was served, collected a plate of the first thing he saw, slumped down in a corner by himself and sighed.
"I'm a horrible brother," he muttered sadly. I'm jealous. Of my best friend and my sister. Being happy together.
"Goltia's lucky. She doesn't have to worry about killing the person she's kissing."

Abigale

Abigale turned her and looked up at Michael, as if she realized that he was still there. She staggered back to her feet, blinking away a few tears.
"Oh. Mr Eriksson. I'm sorry for the fussohgods," Abigale's sentence merged with a quiet gasp as the world swam in front of her. Blinking, she touched the back of her head.
"I think I may be concussed," she said, chuckling softly. She then turned as a loud bang rang out down the hall, followed by two different curses.
"Out of my way!" Markus shouted, shoving his way past a couple of his fellow guards and stopping in front of Abigale. Gripping her shoulders, Markus looked at his youngest sister. Meanwhile, Magenta stayed a short distance away
"Abigale. Are you ok?" he asked. Abigale looked at her eldest brother, then shocked both him and Magenta by slipping her arms around him and squeezing for all she was worth.
"She's gone, Mark. I can't hear her anymore. I'm free," Abigale whispered softly. Markus looked at her for a moment, then smiled. Then it really hit him what she was saying, and his eyes filled with tears.
"Oh thank gods. I've got my sister back," he said softly, tightly wrapping his natural arm around her. Magenta watched the scene, then her expression softened and the dagger-like shard of crystal in her hand vanished. She then stepped forward and placed a hand on Abigale's back gently. A faint glow emitted from her hand, and Abigale felt the dull ache in her head go away.

Stepping back from the pair, Magenta turned to Eriksson and Jenkins. Her right hand twitched erratically for a moment, before she pulled out a nail file from her pocket and began spinning it around her fingers.
"I-We're sorry for anything she broke during this," she said, smiling pleasantly. She then turned and looked at her sister, before returning her gaze to Eriksson. "My factor should patch her up physically. Anything mentally is your domain, I think." She then looked at Jenkins. "And I'll beat a ruby you want to lock her up until Eriksson is sure she's not going to snap and murder some poor student. Correct?" she finished, gripping the nail file for a moment before flicking it into the air and deftly catching it. Looking at Eriksson, she smiled sheepishly. "I'm not showing off. It's a compulsion. We call it Shipborn Syndrome, but you would put it somewhere near the high functioning end of the ADD scale. I looked it up."

Wilson had been trying to CAD up a jet engine/rocket engine, but it always felt like there waas something missing. Feeling a slight disturbance in the couch he looked up to see Makoto sitting quietly.

"Oh hey your here" Wilson said in a friendly tone as he closed up his laptop and set it away. He wondered what this could be all about.

"So whats up?" He asked as he turned to face her.

I more meant like, going to parties or....going to the store," He said it lightheartedly, but frowned slightly at the last part of what he said. There had been a time when going to the store was a rare thing indeed. He quickly pushed it out of his mind. "Yeah, I think it was definitely a good idea," He said, grinning at her. He rubbed his head slightly. All the sounds of the party were beginning to give him a headache. The music especially. He then heard a very faint snoring sound from by his feet. "I think Roady's tired, too," He said chuckling.

Sarah merely smiled again when Jay said that he wasn't as lame as to get tired by a kiss, though she looked a bit concerned when he frowned at his own words. Luckily it didn't seem to last, though he did appear to be feeling a bit bad, even if he didn't say anything about it. When he mentioned Roady being sleepy, she looked down and saw the dog there, sleeping, and smiled again.

"Should we go, then? Do you want me to help you get Roady back to your room?" She asked, figuring that he would probably want some rest. She should probably get some too, the party was fun but also a bit tiring after all.

Cassie continued to dance the way she was dancing for quite some time, keeping her eyes shut through pretty much all of it, except occasionally she opened her eyes to make sure she wasn't going to crash into someone. She never managed to get herself to actually dance a more party appropriate dance, but she didn't particularly mind as long as she wasn't aware of the people that might be looking at her strangely for dancing the way she was at a party like this. She eventually stopped completely and opened her eyes again, and she looked like the happiest girl ever, completely unusual for her. The first thing she did was look around the room for the nearest friends of hers that weren't dancing, and strode over to them in a happy stride.

"I did it!" Cassie happily said to Sarah and Jay, probably making no sense to them because she hadn't really talked to them all night. "I got myself to dance around other people!" She smiled, and she did a little spin without even thinking about it, and her spin pretty much looked like a ballerina dance spin. It then came to her attention that Roady was asleep, and she quickly stopped speaking as loudly or moving too much.

"Er, sorry for interrupting. I just felt so happy about having the strength to actually get myself to dance I just had to tell someone" She told them, and while speaking she started to walk backwards like she was going to leave to not disturb the two of them and their conversation, along with not disturbing the sleeping dog.

He kept his room fairly clean, something that was helped by him not having a roommate to contribute to messing the place up. The half of the room that he didn't use was mostly untouched, other than the bed which he partially used as a storage area. The only unusual items he kept around was his violin, safely locked in its case, and a small shiny black stone he kept on his nightstand. There were no pictures at all anywhere in the room, of him or anyone else.

Michael was about to ensure Abigale that it was no trouble at all to help her after she had started to apologize for the fuss she caused, but his attempts were quickly interrupted by the arrival of her two oldest siblings. Markus pushed his way past the guards and immediately started checking on Abigale, and Magenta followed closely behind though she acted a bit more reserved about the whole situation. The other two embraced each other in a quite endearing display while she turned to speak with Jenkins and him. She explained that her powers would help heal whatever physical injuries Abigale had sustained, and he nodded in response.

Magenta then turned to look at Jenkins, asking if he was planning to lock up her sister. Jenkins looked at her for a moment before responding. "No," he said very plainly, "there is no need to lock her up. Though it might be best if she took a few days off from teaching. I will discuss that with the headmaster."

Michael was pleased that Jenkins saw no reason to lock Abigale up, because it would be significantly harder to help her deal with her issues if she was locked in a cell. Magenta had been playing with the small file she carried around with her and explained why she was doing that, saying that it was because of something that was comparable to a mild case of ADD.

"I know of some ways to help with that" he offered her without really thinking, being very used to offering help to anyone any everyone at the Academy who might need it. After a brief pause he added, "if you'd like help to deal with it, that is. In any case I think we should get Abigale to the infirmary so the doctors can take a look at her, just to make sure she's all right."

"... Telekinesis is the answer. It is also the, no, I am the problem. I can lift two twenty-pound objects at a time using telekinesis. Tyler can sink a blue-water warship," Makoto quietly explained, in an embarrassed manner. Makoto's attempts to maintain composure were still present, but concealment of her emotions was not achieved, which only contributed to her embarrassment. Makoto hated the idea of emotional expression as a non-voluntary force. For her, emotional expression was something to be used with purpose, at times disconnected from her actual emotions. She was not even cognizant as to why she wanted this resource, just that it was a tool that was useful to have.

Hunter chuckled. "I just dance by getting into the music," He said,"I don't really know how to explain the best way to dance. Just let the music care you away." He didn't really think a slow dance would work to well with this music, anyway, so he figured a slow dance was out of the question. Not that he had any special want to slow dance, he hadn't been planning that in the first place. He just started dancing, going to the music. He didn't have any particular moves, he just danced.

(Jay)
Jay gave a slight nod. "I think that would be good. I'm enjoying myself, but I think we've hung out here long enough," He said, smiling. "I can get Roady to my room myself, but thanks for the offer. He'll wake up as soon as I move." He jumped when suddenly Cassie shouted that she had done it, and Roady raised his head. He had no idea that her spin looked like a ballerina spin, because he couldn't exactly see it. "Good job," He said to her.

He smiled in her general direction. "It's OK. I'm glad you managed to get yourself to do that," He said, yawning. He stood up, and Roady stood up. "If you keep getting yourself to do stuff like that, it will probably become easier." He then held his hand out to Sarah, or attempted to,"Shall I escort you to your room?" He said, jokingly sounding like an overly dramatic gentleman.

"So you wanna get stronger? Well I guess I can help you get better a telekinesis although there are two basic paths that I think you might want to consider. Like Tyler can put out massive amonts of raw telekinetic strength, but he doesn't have the amount of control necessary to use besides as a smashing hammer. I can put out about half a ton of raw strength, but my power comes from my better control of power. We could either make you semi-balance like me or we focus on getting you on a more control based kind of style. The first thing you will have to do is change your mindset from being one of failure to constant improvement. That's how I improve, by taking a bunch of small steps to climb a mountain. So how about we train together in the 6-9pm time slot so I can help you get the ball rolling on the road to constant improvement." Wilson finished his monologue and began to think real quickly. 'This is crazy I am helping the two telekinetics in the school that I know'.

Cassie ended up just pretty much smiling in response to everything Jay said, stopping herself from backing away and just leaving because she felt like she interrupted them. "I love when I'm happy" She said happily. "It feels like such a special occasion when I am" She continued, and for a moment when she said that there was a flash of sadness but it went away instantly. "I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts" She said, and she did a slight spin again. "Admittedly I only got myself to dance with my eyes closed, but better then nothing, right?" She said to both Sarah and Jay, glancing back and forth from each of them even though it was a question she didn't even really care if it was answered or not. When she noticed that Jay was offering his hand to Sarah, then saying he was going to take her to her room, she started to back away again, her expression changing slightly to less cheerful but only temporarily. She went up onto her toes and then back down onto her feet as she said "Well, I'll leave you two alone. See you guys tomorrow?".

Caitlin
Caitlin smiled and came in when Tyler opened the door and told her to come in, then chuckled at what Tyler said. "I don't know Spanish or whatever you were just speaking, Tyler" She said in a teasing voice. "Of all the languages besides English, I'm most likely to know some French, seeing as I'm Canadian" She said, chuckling slightly, and then glancing around his room. Seeing the violin, she thought of making a comment about it, but for now kept her mouth shut and idly sat down on his bed.

"So, there's something that has been on my mind a little for a while now" Caitlin started to say, glancing around the room. "You're 18, right? That means you'll be graduating from this school at the end of this school year, correct? Well..........I was just thinking that when that time comes, it could be a little...well, you know, saddening. Knowing that I'll be going through the next 2 school years for me after this without you and all" She said, biting her lip slightly. "I know this isn't really something I should be thinking about already. That's months away. But I couldn't help but think about the fact that I might be, you know, deeply in love with you and then our relationship turns into a long-distance one" She said quietly, though she grinned a bit when she talked about being deeply in love with him. "Unless you plan on being a teacher of course. Then I could definitely see you again through your teaching years up until I graduate myself" She said, smiling slightly.

Sarah heard Jay saying that he could take Roady back to his room by himself because the dog would wake up as soon as he moved, and then Cassie approached, saying that she did it. Sarah wondered what she was talking about but she didn't have to wonder for long, as she soon explained that she had managed to get herself to dance, and Sarah smiled at her. When she asked if she would see them tomorrow, Sarah nodded. "Of course. And I'm glad you could get yourself to dance." She said to her.

Afterwards, she turned to Jay. "I would love that, but I don't think you actually know which one my room is." She said, taking his hand and standing up.

Tyler was quite amused that Caitlin apparently didn't know what he had been trying to say in Spanish. He didn't really speak it at all and he still knew what that meant from having heard it on TV and such, and he very much doubted that she hadn't watched more TV than him. When she mentioned that she might speak some French from being Canadian he nodded, thinking that it was quite cool if she did know how to speak French. He only knew how to speak English because he had never needed to learn anything else.

He joined her on the bed after closing the door, sitting down next to her and waiting for her to speak because it looked like she had something on her mind. She expressed concern that they'd be broken up by him having to leave the Academy at the end of the school year. It wasn't really something he'd considered, and he wore a demure expression on his face as she talked. When she mentioned possibly being 'deeply in love' with him at some point in the future, a brief smile danced across his lips before worry again took over his expression.

When she had finished talking he remained quiet for a moment. "We'll make it work," he eventually said, sounding quite confident. "There's no way to know what the future might hold but we'll just have to find a way to handle whatever it might throw at us. I don't think they keep people here longer than necessary so if we're lucky we might graduate at the same time. And if not I guess I'll just have to bribe my way into a job here so I can see you regularly." Even though it was mostly a joke it didn't seem entirely unappealing to him, to work at the Academy in some way.

"We'll find a way," he concluded, looking at her and smiling brightly.

Caitlin rather liked his simple answer of "We'll make it work", deciding on not making it more complicated then needed. That was true. When it came to the point where he needed to graduate, they could figure out how to make everything work then, and not worry about it for the entire year up until he did. There was always the things you needed to work with when in a relationship, and separation was one of them. She knew how people said that being separated for a certain amount of time made you realize even more how much you loved someone, but it was still a painful thought for her to think of having to possibly go through that.

"Well, since I'm only 16, I would like to get as much experience with my powers and other things as I can, up until I'm 18. So I don't really want to graduate already" Caitlin explained to him. "But I agree. We'll make it work somehow or other. If it ends up with you leaving I'll just talk to you on the phone for hours ever day" She joked. She thought of asking what kind of job would he want here but decided against it, and just finished that part of their conversation by smiling at him.

"So, your turn to talk about something that might be bothering you or whatever. Or it's your turn to tell me something about you that I don't know already" Caitlin said, glancing his way and smiling brightly, curious what he might have to talk about.

Tyler smiled slightly when Caitlin asked him to tell her something that bothered him or something that she didn't know about him. The only thing that really bothered him was something he didn't feel comfortable sharing right then, even though he really wanted to tell her because he felt like a real ass for not discussing it with her like a man should.

There were more than a few stories he could tell from his life even if he avoided the subject of his past troubles; his previous year in the Academy, or when they had fought in Afghanistan to save the world, or what he had done that summer. All of them would probably interest her.

"Something you don't know about me? Well, I bet you didn't know I am a big fan of hockey?" he asked teasingly, figuring that that wasn't the kind of thing she had wanted to hear about. As he briefly looked around the room his eyes fell on the small stone lying on his nightstand and he decided what he would tell her about.

"Well, how about the story of my first great act of heroism?"

"Well, I can escort you to the dorms, then you can tell me which room is yours, and then I can pretend to escort you there while you lead the way," He said jokingly.

He headed out of the gym, his hand in Sarah's, and his helmet in the other hand. He was escorting her, but Roady was escorting him, leading the way sleepily.

Caitlin let out a laugh. "Well, I guess this means it's time for you to move over the border to Canada then" She joked back to him when he talked about being a fan of Hockey. "There will be no complaints by me" She said, smiling at him. Then she just fell silent until he talked about something else.

"That sounds good to me" She said, giving a slight shrug. "But it better be more awesome then my act at the damaged place with the volcano or my act on our first real mission or I will be disappointed" she joked, but made herself more comfortable on her seat, indicating that she was perfectly ready to listen to his story.

Cassie
Cassie gave Sarah a smile when she said she was glad that she could get herself to dance, and smiled at the both of them when they talked about seeing her tomorrow. She gave them a quick shy wave, and then left the two of them alone and headed back to the dance floor, going back to dancing slowly with her eyes closed until she felt tired enough to wander off and go to sleep in her room for the night.

"Well, what I want is more, uh," Makoto said as her foot tapped rapidly and she mouthed indiscernibly, "control. I would like the control over my abilities to be capable of sinking a cruiser, but I also do not want the number of points I can manipulate at any one time to be limited by the number of hands I have." As Makoto listened to Wilson's morale boosting, it failed to address Makoto's problem. She nodded along as Wilson failed to address the fact that, as per his analogy, her problem with herself was that she realized she stepped not. Wilson just affirmed Makoto's problem. "Okay, the time is fine. My question is if it will be done with other people who happen to have telekinesis?"

Tyler
Tyler and Caitlin had kept talking for several hours in his room. First he had told her the story he had promised; about how he had saved a little girl from some racist thugs in an alley in New Orleans. She was only seven years old, and quite obviously a superhuman. They were grunts in the local anti-super militia who had got it into their heads to lynch her because she had wings. Because he didn't trust his powers enough he had decided not to use them, stupid though it was because there were two of them and one had an aluminum baseball bat. Thanks to the training he had received at the Academy he had managed to beat them after a very short fight, though he fractured a bone in his left arm when he blocked a swing from the bat.

The girl was quite terrified by the whole thing, and he did his best to calm her down after the fight even though the pain in his arm was nearly paralyzing. After a little while she calmed down somewhat and told him that her name was Michaela. When she realized that he was hurt she told him that she knew someone who could help and told him to come with her, and he accepted because he really didn't know what else to do. She led him to the so-called Carnival in New Orleans, the local superhuman ghetto, where she lived with her family and a lot of other unfortunate superhumans who had been forced out of their homes by the rising wave of racism in the US. An elderly woman with vividly glowing yellow eyes who lived next door from the little girl had the ability to heal people by touch, and she fixed his arm in no time at all.

He had decided to stay there for a time, since he had nowhere else to go. The city basically didn't care about that part of town anymore so he just moved into an abandoned apartment, in the same building as Michaela and her family. What he had intended to be a stay of only a few days stretched out into weeks, and then months. The people there were very friendly and helpful, they had to look out for each other because no one else would, and he spoke quite fondly of his time there. Michaela and her family, her mother and a brother three years older than her, had become good friends of his during his time there. When he had to go back to the Academy she had given him a good luck charm, the small black stone he kept on his nightstand, and he had promised that he'd come back some day.

Other than that he spoke briefly about the end of his first year at the Academy when he had participated in the last stand in Afghanistan, which was the turning point in the war against the vampires. It was clear that he didn't particularly like talking about it and he glossed over most of the details. The only thing he ever said about his parents was that he had lost them after an accident. He tried to convince himself that it was technically the truth but he still felt bad that he couldn't bring himself to tell her the real truth.

Eventually the time came when Caitlin and he had to part ways for the night. He would have suggested that she could just sleep over in his room but he didn't want her to get the wrong idea. After dragging the goodbye out for as long as possible he had gone to bed, feeling incredibly happy with the direction his life was taking as he drifted off to sleep.

The next day
The Halloween party had continued long into the night, the DJ delivering dance beats for the slowly thinning partying crowd until around 3 AM. Even after the last person had left the gymnasium some people carried on the party in the common rooms and dorms, and it wasn't until a couple of hours later that a relative calm returned to the halls of the Academy.

Because they had been given the entire following day off few students chose to rise early, instead sleeping late to recover from the energetic partying and other related activities they had partaken of. Breakfast was still served on schedule as always, even if fewer people were there to eat the food, and the janitorial staff were still working on cleaning away the last traces of the party. Though most of the students were asleep there were excited whispering among most of the ones who were awake, and rumors and excited gossip spread like wildfire among them:

During the night the list of people accepted for the mission to the moon had been posted.

"Ok, so want to be all-rounded and good in the control and strength aspect of telekinesis. I will try my best to help you out and yes I am helping TYler out with telekinetic control issues, but I meet him right after class we train for an hour or two depending on what we need to do. Then I go chill for a bit eat dinner and then help you out. OK? Great! I'll see you tomorrow in the Gym as it is quite late and I think I'm going to pass out." Wilson said as he gathered up his stuff and walked to his room. He quickly put on his pajamas and brushed his teeth before collapsing into the bed sleeping.
