I'm already late, and I miss enough classes anyway. I'll try and see you again before you leave."

With that, Declan got into the elevator and headed down to the sim room. He should really stop missing classes, but there always seemed to be something else going on. It's not like it really matters. This whole school is just a superhuman daycare, with the laws preventing the existence of free-roaming heroes and vigilantes. And for the villains, it's still the same old Juvie in space.

He eventually reached the classroom. "Hey, sorry I'm late. Can I still participate in the sim?"
Burton frowned at Declan's back. Clearly his levity wasn't anchored by any sort of seriousness given the way he blew off The Gauntlet. Burton gestured to a couple of smaller weapons leaning against the wall adjacent to the firing line.

"Obviously you've seen the one on the right, the XM-90. Full auto battle carbine, fires 7.62mm at a ridiculous cyclic rate without being any longer than your standard M-4.

The one on the right however that's....different. It's a H&K BVW-1415, late prototype close-quarters weapon that's an electrically fired integrally suppressed PDW and 12 gauge shotgun capable of firing buckshot and slug rounds all in one compact package.

Lots of fun choices actually. You have American brute force, German precision engineering, or British heavy industry to pick from."

When Sarah suddenly heard Tara's voice calling out to her and the rest of the group, she looked up to see her atop the hill, and nodded, immediately hurrying along to the top of the hill in order to catch up with her teammates, so that they could better defend themselves from whatever it was that seemed to be out after her and the other students.

After a few moments, she got close enough to see that Tyler had made his way back to the top of the hill. However, she could also see, quite easily, that he was bleeding out from the gashes in his back, and she felt from his heartbeats that he was quite agitated due to whatever happened that had injured him in such gruesome manner.

Rushing over to him, she started exerting her power over his wounds, keeping more blood from leaking out of them, and trying to help them seal themselves.

"Are you alright?" She asked him.

Tyler was relieved to see that the others were fine, and quite thankful for the help rendered by Sarah in stopping his loss of blood. He wasn't sure how much her efforts would help, he didn't have extraordinary healing power like Tara so the wounds probably wouldn't be properly healed by her efforts. It was still a lot better than bleeding out though, and fortunately most of his fighting power came from his mind rather than his muscles so his ability to fight wouldn't be much lessened by his injuries.

"Yeah, I'm fine," he said to Sarah, "or at least I can fight now, that'll be enough. Thanks."

He turned around to see if the thing had followed him, but the creature was still much further down the hill and didn't show any signs of coming closer. It was quite unlike anything he had ever seen, skin like charcoal stretched taut over its bones, long spindly limbs ending in fearsome claws, and teeth like steak knives. When it noticed that a group had formed on top of the hill it darted away from them, scurrying out of sight beyond the treeline. Tyler blindly aimed a blast of force at it, trees splintering and falling down as if a bomb had detonated among them, but there was no way of knowing if the creature had been hit without going down there to check.

"Is everyone here?" he asked no one in particular, "we should probably get moving as fast as we can."

Cassie and Caitlin
Caitlin had come up to the top of the hill not long after Sarah, but because she went over to Tyler to take care of his injuries, she went and looked down the hill instead, but watchedd carefully in case Sarah did need help with Tyler, even if there wasn't much she could really do to help out anyway.

Cassie on the other hand, vaguely hearing the noises on the hill, instantly started to worry about Tyler. But, she sorta worried about anyone that wasn't herself. She did worry about herself sometimes, but she was more concerned for others then her own condition. Though, most of her teenaged life, or double digit life, she was the main one to worry about, from getting beat by her father, and whatnot. So she came over to Tyler and seemed concerned too. All she did was give him a worried look, before she ran over to the edge of the hill and got a good look at the creature, before Tyler attempted to annihalate it. When he did, she let out a gasp in surprise at the noise, because she was jumpy.

"I think I got a good enough look at it....." Cassie said quietly, before looking distant for a few seconds to try and detect if the creature was dead or still alive (you obviously get to say). After she snapped out of it and told them the answer to it being alive or not, she nodded at what Tyler said, agreeing completely because she wanted to get the hell out of here. It's weird how you could actually feel the pain in the simulation, and she didn't really want to find out how realistic it was, even though she knew all too well what pain felt like and she had a better tolerance to it now because of it. So, she just got ready to follow Tyler and Tara, since they seemed to be the leaders and the best leaders, while Caitlin just nodded and waited to follow as well.

Tyler mumbled a curse under his breath when Cassie informed the group that the creature was still alive.

"Alright, everyone stick together when we move, don't let anyone get separated," he said, looking around at the others, "I was attacked from above, so keep an eye on the trees." After pausing for a second to see if he could spot anything dangerous lurking in their path he continued, "let's go." Then he started making his way down the hill again, pausing occasionally to ensure that everyone was keeping up. Because he had been interrupted he hadn't had time to clear a path more than halfway to the town, but at least that was better than walking the whole way through the thick forest.

"Nonesense..." Sarah muttered when Tyler said that that would be enough. Just because she had kept his wounds from bleeding further, didn't mean that he would no longer bleed if she stopped exerting her power over his wounds. It wasn't terribly draining anyway, so she didn't particularly mind doing so. When he looked at the beast and threw a powerful blast of kinetic force at the woods, she was taken aback slightly, but maintained control over her powers, making sure that Tyler wouldn't bleed out. She hadn't managed to see the beast by herself though.

She was about to say something, when Cassie informed that she had seen the beast and had detected that it was still alive. She became slightly worried, but otherwise she was thankful for the information.

When Tyler instructed that everyone stick together and then started walking down the hill, Sarah nodded affirmatively and then followed, catching up. "Don't overexert yourself physically, it can make keeping your blood inside you harder." She stated.

Once the elevator reached the Hero Dorm level, Robert stepped off and nodded at the guard.
"Yeah. Some cough drops or a spray couldn't hurt. Also, since my powers are fairly different than most, if not all the students here, I take it I won't be participating in the simulations? I fill a role more like that of Q than the super-agent-stuff that the other kids due. I brainstorm and make the weapon, then hand it over to them. I'd probably be more of a weak link in any team." Robert said as he convincingly faked a downcast emotional state as to likely befuddle the guard.
"Also, what's my room number? I wouldn't look forward to wandering around aimlessly for a few hours. Any time not spent designing prototypes is time wasted." Robert said the guard as he skillfully picked up, slightly, from the feigned emotion.
"Oh, and will likely participate in the firearms training though. While the sims have no use for me, self-defense is always useful when you're considered a resource to be acquired."
"Quod Vult, Valde Valt"

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

Scott shook his head. Though it ended amicably, their recent exchange had left him feeling downcast with regard to experimenting with the armoury's contents any further. The wounds were still raw. "Thanks Burt, but I need to go and check on Roxanne. She heard...some bad news today."
He left the firing range silently and tapped the lift button for the teachers' quarters. While it descended the few floors with a quiet hum, Scott's thoughts wondered to the question of Roxanne's stepdad's death. For once he wished that he had been with the rest of the mission team the whole time they were in Kildare. Not because he thought he had done wrong by going to help Roxanne; without knowing the state she'd be found in there had been every reason to believe she could provide valuable support to the mission and either way it had been important to locate her and prevent any kind of collateral damage. But if Scott had been with the group then maybe he could have seen who went astray, maybe even stopped them. He refused to blame himself for that though. Dom and Burt had been there and not seen anything, along with the better part of an entire infantry platoon.
Regarding who the killer had been, only one name kept returning to the forefront of Scott's mind. Although he could think of half a dozen students deranged enough to want to kill an unarmed, innocent man, the fact that it was this man seemed too strange to be a coincidence. Rachael was firmly on Scott's watchlist of students - a list he had begun compiling from his first day of study at The School as a defence mechanism. She had been on the Kildare mission and, if Roxanne's relationship with her stepdad could be described as ambiguously complicated then for all Scott knew Rachael's could have made the Gaza Strip look like a playpark.
There was too much coincidence for it to have been a random killing by any other student, but Rachael's temperament was hardly enough evidence to convict her or even take her out of lessons. Not for the first time, Scott found himself cursing Anderson for making him take her on the mission.
The lift stopped with a light bounce and Scott took a deep breath to calm himself before the doors slid open. He crossed the teaching lounge to his quarters and swiped his keycard in the door. As it slid open he found Roxanne curled up on his bed facing the far wall. She did not react on hearing him enter, nor when she felt his weight press into the mattress beside her. Placing a hand delicately on her shoulder he closed his eyes and whispered a quiet "Hey," in greeting. When she still did not react he sighed and asked the question which sounded stupid even in his head though he could think of no better way to phrase it.
"Are you okay?"

The guard furrowed his brow when Robert asked about his schedule, it seemed that all new arrivals expected the guards to know everything about their personal schedules. "I'm afraid I don't know what classes you'll be taking, there's a schedule in the package. Speaking of which," the guard handed over the same kind of plastic package that all students received upon arrival. "You'll also find a keycard and a guide book in there," the guard explained while leading the way across the hero common room. They stopped a very short walk later in front of a door, exactly the same as all the other doors except for the number painted on it.

"This is your room," the guard explained, "your keycard opens this door here, and also gives you access to all areas of the station students are allowed into. If you wish to access the engineering station we've set up for you, just speak with one of the guards and they'll arrange it." Unlike the previous year, there were no other places on the station with access to tools and the like, apparently the headmaster felt that giving the students access to such things might lead to the creation of makeshift weapons.

"Do you have any questions before I leave?

Tyler
"I'll keep that in mind," Tyler said when Sarah warned him not to exert himself too much. Then he kept moving, but at the rate they were going he was hardly exerting himself at all. It seemed much preferable to him to get to their destination slower but ensure that the group stayed together, than to move faster and risk getting split up. And it seemed like his plan was working, as they moved across the open area he had created there was no sign at all of the creature that had attacked him. Of course there was no guarantee that it wasn't just hiding somewhere, waiting for them to make a mistake so it could attack again, but for the moment he was content to let it wait.

Where the path of destruction he had created stopped, he stopped as well. With one of his arms not working he didn't know if he could control his powers enough to use them safely, and he also didn't know how much he actually exerted himself when using them. The prospect of accidentally injuring his teammates and causing himself to bleed to death didn't sound good, so they'd have to push through the forest.

"I don't think I can manage to knock any more trees down," he said, turning to face the group, "so we'll have to risk going through. Make sure you don't loose track of each other, and if we're attacked don't go running out alone." He grimaced slightly as he turned back around, hesitating for a moment before pushing on. "Come on, let's get going."

As Tyler talked about them watching out for the thing in the trees and how they need to stay together well, Cassie went back to chewing on her nails nervously. When he said to start going, she just nodded and followed him without a word, looking truly scared, and also worried for Tyler. Being as nervous as she was, as they walked, she kept quickly using her powers to keep track of how close the creature was to them and where it was. Doing this however made her worried that she would strain herself too much by using her ability so often, but thankfully at the moment it didn't appear to be doing that. And she did it quick enough that it didn't screw with her walking, at least in the part of the forest Tyler cleared.

'Rachael didn't make it, did she?" Cassie asked after they had stopped at the edge of the forest. She looked around for her, but didn't see her. Looking more worried, she then checked to see where Rachael was, before moving on. What she saw was Rachael's rather gruesomely murdered body, and she let out a gasp and snapped out of her vision. She swallowed hard, then tried again, and saw Rachael leaving the pod, and since Rachael managed to get so off track, she felt it was probably intentional, and shook her head. 'Rachael's dead....' She told the others when she snapped out of it again, and looked like she might be sick to her stomach. Following that, she just followed the 'leaders' into the denser forest.

Meanwhile, Caitlin had just been following them all. Hearing about Rachael, she had a really hard time feeling that bad for her. Especially simulation her, since it wasn't like she really actually died or anything. If she did, then she would be more upset. But once they were in the denser forest, she continued to follow the others, but at the same time seemed to be showing off. More to herself then anything, to practice. She was phasing through random downed trees and thick undergrowth, hoping to, you know, not fail halfway through them. That would be rather unpleasant. She had this satisfied grin on her face as she did it, but after a little bit she stopped it and just started acting normal again, going over the trees and through the dense undergrowth like a normal human being, if only to avoid straining herself with her abilities too much.

With a screwed-up look for nobody in particular, Burton shook his head and grunted in derision

'And this is why instructors have to have more than one degree of maturity above students...' There was more to that thought that Burton cut off. Personal philosophies be damned, whatever was bothering Scott was clearly enough to override other functions in his brain.

Therefore he turned back to the matter at hand, the enormous weapon dwarfing the bench at the back of the range. A preliminary checkout had revealed no worn or loose bolts, gritty-feeling shocks, or bent springs of any kind. This meant that, nominally, the weapon would fire, although whether or not something else might go wrong was a concern. However now Burton had a couple of problems that he had to rectify, primarily concerning the movement and bracing of what amounted to a 7 plus foot long autocannon.

However there was one thought that leaped to mind before anything else.

'Right, I have the ammunition...but firing off 20x118mm in this short of a range...'

It felt like so long, but Mina finally snapped back into reality. What was she doing? When she looked at the date she realized how long she had been day dreaming, and was slightly in shock. Across from her Mena was simply smiling at her. "Uhg...did you do something to me"? She asked, seeming irritated. "What? Me? Oh never dear sister"! Mena said. Mina however could put two and two together and knew something was up, however she simply would have to adjust to the new timeframe.

As the dynamic duo exited the dorm, they took it upon themselves to handle this matter responsibly and headed to where they remember class would be held at this time. Their first destination, the simulation room.

Sarah nodded at Tyler when he said he agreed to try to not exert himself too much, and then continued following him along the path he had cleared for the group to head over to the town that was on the other side of the forest. She wasn't entirely sure of what to expect from the town, but she didn't discard the possibility of there being more dangers over there. First, though, they had to get through this forest, then she could worry about that.

When they came to the end of the path of destruction, Sarah looked at the forest in front of them. She was almost certain that they would be in danger of an ambush as soon as they went in, but she also knew that it was the only way. With this in mind, she took the pebble she had picked up earlier and held it tightly, ready to act if the situation called for it. For now, though, she just limited herself to following Tyler and keeping his wounds from bleeding.

Raymond, who had been following Tyler and the others around silently, frowned when they came to the end of the path Tyler cleared. It was obvious that they were about to enter the danger zone now. With this in mind, he remained at the back of the group, following everyone else closely, and keeping his senses on alert in case the mysterious predator decided to act. He was certain that, with his powers, he could at least nullify any advantage the surprise factor could give that... Thing, whatever it was.

It took a few moments for Roxanne to react again. She didn't feel like talking right now. She was more keen on trying to hit the mattress hard enough to break it and thinking about how unfair it was that he had died. Oh, dying in crossfire would be understandable, maybe even forgivable, seeing as it would have been an accident; but he'd been murdered. It had been deliberate and the person who'd done it was probably on the station. Judging by how inhuman they'd have to be to want to kill him, she wouldn't be surprised if they struck again.
She pushed Scott's hand off her shoulder and sat up. "No. Not at all," she answered with a shaking voice. Wasn't it obvious from her slightly red and puffy eyes and the fact that she wasn't quite thinking straight? "Did you really expect me to be? And what are you here for?" She'd been looking down at the floor and refusing to make eye contact since first reacting, but now she looked at him more exasperatedly. "Look, I'm not really in a mood to talk right now. Especially not about... that." Slumping back into her previous position, she broke the eye contact and focused on the darkness behind her eyelids again. "Can't you come back later?"

Rachael held back the scream as her neck was ripped through. The pain was excruciating, but it wasn't real, she could bear it.
It was quite a relief when she died.

As the dynamic duo exited the dorm, they took it upon themselves to handle this matter responsibly and headed to where they remember class would be held at this time. Their first destination, the simulation room.

The guard standing watch in the simulation chamber opened the door for the two sisters, doing his best to hide his annoyance at yet more late arrivals. In his opinion the school was too soft on the students, giving them too much freedom, but since he wasn't in charge there wasn't much he could do about it.

"If you want to join the simulation just get in a pod," he said to the two girls.

As Bramwell quietly went along the simulation, Makoto sat. As she looked at the Earth, she did not have much choice but to sit-back and think about things.

"When is Sakura going to return? Did she forget that I can barely walk several feet without tripping? Wait, why am I making sarcastic thoughts? Why am I asking so many questions? Nevermind, it is not as if my music is going anywhere. Heck, I will get to watch the sunrise to "Sunrise" in two minutes. There is no point in worrying now with Strauss and space-station days," Makoto thought as she relaxed her posture. She then heard the doors open. Interested, she turned her head and saw Mina and Mena. Not wanting to speak, she tried to think of a way to say hello. She would not be able to get the simple greeting across. It was at this time that she really wished that Bramwell did not stop the telepathic link. At least she would know how to do some sort of greeting in American Sign Language if the telepathic link were active. With not much else, she just decided to tip her blue cap to the two.

Infirmary Room

The group are currently watching Antonio's mind. Seeing Antonio begging for help as his body starts to rip apart, a white light appearing from the cracks. Once ripped into bits, each piece open their mouths, and ask for help.

"Is he on drugs?" The Russian asked Gregorio.

"No, but this is troubling. Whatever you do, don't try and help. We don't know which personality is speaking." He said. The asking then stop as a dark laugh starts to be heard.

"It seems you figure it out." The voice said. "I will be free. In one way or the other." Antonio the starts to shake uncontrollably as he speaks in tongues. Gregorio realize what's happening.

"Some tape Antonio's mouth!"

"Why are we going to do that?" Steve asked as metal utensils starts to float and shoot itself towards the group, hitting deep into the wall, and missing them by a few inches. Other things starts to float about and starts to spin like a there's a tornado in the room. "Ok." Steve said as Antonio starts to float as electricity starts to surge from him to the machine.

"I'll hit him with the bat!" Tobias shouted as he tackled Antonio down to the bed.

"I have to turn off my machine." The Russian said but she got shocked by the electricity. She starts to heard something. "Who's pounding the screen?"

"Tobias, there's a tattoo at the back of his neck. Tell me, does it look like its fading or glowing?" Gregorio asked and Tobias look..

"Its glowing."

"Good, then the seal is still strong." Gregorio said as Steve taped Antonio's mouth. Antonio's eyes open, glowing between yellow and white before closing. A sudden surge of electricity appeared from Antonio, shocking Tobias. The electricity then moves to the screen and shoots out a bolt of lighting to the floor. One where the bolt hit, a spiky blonde haired version of Antonio appeared, getting his breath.

"I'm, out. I'm, finally free." He then notice everyone else. "Oh, hi, I'm Raijin Fer-" He was interrupted when the Russian throw the food tray at his face, which knock him out when he hit his head on the metal railing.

"PUT SOME CLOTHES ON!" She shrieked.

"Who's that?" Tobias asked.

"Raijin Santiago Fernandez, the Duke of Electricity." Gregorio said. "I'm calling a doctor for everyone, and a guard for him. He needs to have a power suppressor on. The last time he went overboard with his power, he made the Martian city of New Tokyo going out of power for ten hours."

Nakarisaune wrote:It took a few moments for Roxanne to react again.

Scott swallowed painfully. He didn't just empathise with Roxanne's pain; he also felt an overwhelming sense of guilt looking at her now. She would need someone to lean on - if not right now then later - and here he was getting ready to disappear back to Earth for who knew how long. He knew there were things he needed to do down there, but he could not pretend he did not have some duties here as well, even if he wasn't a teacher any longer. He had pulled Roxanne out of Kildare and now he was about to leave her on her own once more. Not for the first time, he wondered if it might have been better for both if they had never met again but then he remembered how she had been living until two weeks ago. Nothing would have been helped by her being left in Kildare and then she would have had no-one. At least at The School there were people to help, even if Scott couldn't be one of them much longer.
"If you're sure you want me to go, I'll go," he whispered, "I just hoped you'd want to talk to someone. They will find out who did it, Rox."

It only took a few seconds for the power suppressors in the infirmary to activate after the intruder had appeared, and less than a minute after that before a dozen heavily armed guards burst into the room. Upon seeing the intruder unconscious on the floor they relaxed a bit, one of them calling the headmaster over the radio.

Anderson arrived a few minutes later, looking none too pleased about the current situation. He looked at the unconscious intruder for a moment before turning to Gregorio, "you, explain who that is, and why he looks like your cousin."

Tyler
The walk through the forest was strangely uneventful, which actually worried Tyler a bit. It seemed strange that the creature wouldn't attack them when they were vulnerable in the forest and he couldn't help but wonder if it was hiding somewhere further ahead, just waiting for a chance to attack them. Not that he complained about not getting attacked by the monster again, if it decided to just stay away for the rest of the simulation he'd be quite happy. Soon they emerged into the small clearing that housed the town they were supposed to go to, a motley collection of wood or cinderblock houses with corrugated steel roofs, and not a single person in sight. There were clear signs that people had recently been there, but they clearly weren't anymore.

"Don't let your guards down," he said to the others as he started moving towards the buildings, "something's wrong here."

"Yes, I have patients! It is about time I had somebody to treat. Wait, you are not nurses. At the very least, I will have somebody to treat," Brayden said with glee, running from room to room preparing for a percieved wave of patients. It did not take long, and was finished quickly. "Anderson, thank you for coming to deal with Raijin Buu over there," Brayden said as he started to calm down, still cheerful. The various area's curtains were opened with anticipation at the thought of new patients. He then left for a different section of the infirmary that had the emergency rooms.

"That would be Raijin Fernandez, Duke of Electricity, one of Antonio's personalities. I don't know what's going on in Antonio but it would be easier for the sealed elemental to take control of body with less opposition. Raijin is a lighting elemental whose personal value is freedom. Since he didn't try to destroy the walls, 'for the freedom of the air' or whatever non-nonsensical reasoning, that just means he's not crazy. And can someone give him something to wear? It's like that time back in college a few years from now. Got drunk in a frat party, woke up in prison for the charges of manslaughter, underage and under-the-influence driving, bestiality, kidnapping and raping a ten year old boy, arson, and beating up the city mayor." Gregorio said in a casual tone which gave a freaked out expression from the others.

"What was the third-to-the-last one?" Tobias asked.

"Bestiality? That wasn't my first one, you saw what I did to the alien ambassador."

"Uh, I was trying to forget that." The Russian said as she removes her device from Antonio, who's now sleeping peacefully.

As Tyler had wiped out the crazy monster thing, Declan just watched, impressed. Afterward, Declan shrugged, following Tyler invisibly throughout the woods. He saw no reason to tip off any enemies that he was there by appearing to them. It would be much simpler to stay camouflaged, which took very little effort on his part anyway. Still invisible, Declan followed Tyler towards the buildings.
You're all insane.

Cassie was nervous and scared the whole time she walked through the forest, trying to watch out for the creature using her ability, probably too often for her own good. But she was just being too paranoid with it, so she continued on using it about every 15 to 30 seconds, all the way to the village On the way to the village, she only had issues a couple of times. She wasn't really used to going through thick forest, even though she came from a place that had a lot of thick forests. It's not like her dad ever took her hiking into the woods or ever let her go on her own, so she never really experienced stuff like this. She wished she did, because she was the type that loved nature, so she didn't really mind this forest stuff. As long as there wasn't some weird creature following them, that is.

She came up behind Tyler when they arrived to the village, looking around the village and thinking how empty it was is as weird as Tyler seemed to think it was, so she had no intentions of letting her guard down. Again, she used her ability to try and track down the creature, but it wasn't really any use. 'I can't seem to figure out where the creature is...it's really hard for me to tell...' She said quietly to Tyler, shaking as she spoke. Her first guess was that the creature probably scared the people off, so that was one reason why she was trying to keep track of it. But, since she had used her power so much, straining herself, she started to get a little dizzy, and she closed her eyes for a moment and said 'whoa', while putting her arms out to keep herself from falling over.

Caitlin meanwhile arrived to the village with no issues at all. It helped that she sorta 'cheated' with some of the harder challenges, but she had more experience with this kind of terrain then Cassie anyway. She had hiked plenty of times, and some of the 'trails' she went on were about this overgrown, if not more so. So she knew what she was doing, and hadn't stumbled as much as Cassie. When she got to the village, she just kept quiet and looked around the village, then nodded to what Tyler said, and then looked worried at what Cassie said, and for Cassie with how scared she seemed to be in the simulation, and not on an actual real mission. Then she was worried for Cassie when she got dizzy, but didn't say anything.

Anderson didn't look any happier after Gregorio had explained the situation, and indeed he struggled very hard to suppress the urge to just toss the invading party out through an airlock. "Put him in the brig," he said to one of the guards, "and get him a pair of pants." He pointed at Antonio, "put him in the secure ward, and if anything else pops out of him you have permission to kill it should it prove troublesome."

Anderson walked off again, thinking to himself that the plan to deal with the extradimensional threat would have to be moved along faster than he had originally planned, and the guards went to work on transporting the invader and Antonio to their respective destinations. Antonio was put in the secure ward, an adjoining wing of the infirmary that was built to house unstable or violent patients. The intruder was tossed in one of the cells up in the brig, where the permanently active power suppression field would ensure that he wasn't able to threaten the security of the station. And a pair of blue sweatpants were tossed in as well.

Tyler
"We need to search the buildings to find that package," Tyler said to the others, "split into teams of three, and be careful. We don't know what's going on here." It would have been safer to move as a single group while searching, but it would also take longer and he wanted to get moving again before the creature came back. With luck they would find whatever they were there to find before the creature found them, and then it would be a simple run to the finish.

He noticed that Cassie looked about ready to fall over, so he made his way to her. "Are you alright?" he asked, concern obvious in his voice.

When Tyler was attacked by the... creature... my immediate reaction was to grab for my fighting sticks. Only as my fingers groped unexpectedly at empty air did I realize that, as Dominic had said, we'd been sent in without any weapons. That froze me up for a second, as I recalled the self-defence class with Burton. It took me a moment before I shook my doubts, and began moving to simply tackle and pummel the thing into submission. However, by then, Tyler blew the thing off with a massive blast of psycho-kinetic force, and after slamming into some untouched vegetation, scrambled away into the growth. I chased after the thing, stopping at the tree line.If it was still hanging around, surely it would have attacked me at that point, but nothing happened, so I supposed the area was secure for the time being. I took a minute, while everyone else regrouped, to snap off a pair of particularly thick looking branches, and then halving them with a nearby rock, to make a rudimentary pair of fighting sticks. Rough? Yes. Ideal? No. But it was still better than nothing. My new weapons in hand, I made a point of trailing some ten feet behind the rest of the group, knowing that if this creature were to attack us, I would make the best target. Then we came upon the village that I had spotted earlier.

"If we're splitting into teams of three, then you, Sarah, and Cassie, are staying here, in the middle of this village. Tyler, you're wounded and you need Sarah to keep you from bleeding out entirely. Cassie, no offence meant, but this thing would be more than a match for you, even if you weren't feeling fatigued right now." I'd noticed her dizziness a moment again, and was slightly concerned for her, but nothing could be done for it now. "This likes the forest, and the cover it gives. It's an ambush predator. Staying out in the open, no buildings around you, is the best defence we have right now. Everyone else," I said louder, so everyone could hear me, "Like Tyler said, groups of three. Raymond, Bramwell, you two with me. We're going to sweep the buildings along the perimeter."
