"Yeah, this is already a more professional camera than any I have used before. It is functional, a technological marvel, and entertaining all at once. You area good programmer and designer," Bramwell decided to get a shot of the North American continent with the camera to test it's functionality. He did not really notice the fact Selina called it "he", as Bramwell knew people often anthropomorphized their creations. "This is fantastic, and it was not made by underpaid workers and shady deals. Get a best friend you will become rivals with later on and make a product that blows I.B.M. out of the water and you will go far."

Any connections with the swine was severed centuries ago." Erkenfried said as he then dusted his gloved hands and motioned for his Thrall to grab multiple suitcases.

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

But of course, ignorance breeds faster than enlightenment- and yes, I shall follow. I also advise that the Thrall stays. I must have something to feed upon and I doubt there are volunteers." Erkenfried said as he followed the headmaster, humming to himself at a frequency above thd range of the human ear.

Ularn wrote:"Right, come on - everyone aboard!"
Just as Scott was climbing aboard the departing shuttle he noticed one of the passengers coming off of the one which had just arrived. The frail, elderly figure was dressed entirely in white, yet the piercing blue of his eyes was visible from the opposite side of the hangar. Scott's brow furrowed as he dipped inside the shuttle hatch, trying to remember why the figure was familiar. It wasn't unusual to see random heroes in The School. Several active heroes, vigilantes and even a few villains used the station as a secondary base or travelled there for reasons related to their work. Often Scott recognised them but he couldn't quite place this one...
"Excuse me," he asked one of the technicians who was just leaving the shuttle, "Who's that just getting off the other shuttle with the mice in a cage?"
"Uh..." the tech flipped over a sheet on a notepad he was carrying, "That's Ichihara Ryota...or Ryota Ichihara - I'm not really sure how these Japanese names work, Mr Kerr,"
"No problem, thanks." Scott slid past the technician and saw Burton in the cockpit running pre-flight checks. "Nice knife," he commented, "That a kukri?"
As Burton replied and the shuttle hatch slid shut Scott made his way through to the passenger compartment, thinking about Ichihara Ryota and kicking himself for not recognising the Japanese hero who was single-handedly responsible for the fact that Tokyo was still standing in spite of at east three separate Godzilla attacks. Hopefully Scott would get a chance to talk to the legend when he got back from Kildare.
Most of the students were seated and dressed or still getting changed into their camouflage. "Okay guys, well done for getting up this early. We'll be leaving in a couple of minutes; our destination is the HMS Ocean in the Irish Sea. Ocean's a British amphibious assault ship - picture an aircraft carrier for helicopters - where we'll be linking up with elements from the Black Watch for a final briefing before we head out for Kildare. In the mean time, gonna talk you through the rest of your kit.
"Everyone should have a bullet proof vest in their bundle; you can stick that on now as well but please don't be tempted to test it's protection. As well as that there's a two-way radio set to channel two. Keep it on that channel and you'll stay in contact with everyone else. That bottle is filled with something kind of like Lucozade but even worse for your teeth. A lot of you'll get tired out from using your powers so this should give you the calories to keep going. The last other thing, which is a taser pistol. One shot should be enough to temporarily incapacitate an adult for a few seconds, allowing you to cuff them with the restraints that should be in one of the pockets on your body armour. These are meant to be less-than-lethal weapons but, as Bramwell discovered yesterday, multiple shots can induce a heart attack and potentially kill your target, so be careful with them. We'll give you the ammo for them on Ocean.
"Now," he concluded, "Strap in and we'll be back on Earth soon." Scott tapped on the hatch leading to the cockpit and said, "Burton, we're all set. Take us out when you're ready," then went to his own seat at the front of the compartment and did up his seatbelt as the pitch of the shuttle's engine began to climb.

Ularn wrote:Scott furrowed his brow at Burton's request on the intercom. Unbuckling his seatbelt, he braced himself against the backrest and pushed off gently, propelling him through the gravity-less passenger compartment towards the cockpit hatch. He tapped the access panel and the hatch slid away into a recess, allowing him to glide through the threshold.
"What's up?" he asked over Burton's shoulder, staring out the window - Scott was pretty sure it wasn't a windshield where there was no wind - as the hatch slid shut behind him.

"And you know, being nervous isn't really a bad thing. It just means that you're smart enough to be afraid of dangerous things. You know that old saying: 'Courage isn't the lack of fear, it is the ability to act despite your fear.' That's pretty much true, in my opinion. Being afraid of nothing, never feeling nervous, would just mean being reckless and stupid." In his opinion her performance in the sim was more impressive because she was nervous than if she had been calm throughout, if she did her job so well when nervous then there was no telling how good she'd be once she learned to control her nerves. "I think that's why professional soldiers train so much, so they learn how to control their fear even in the heat of battle."
"Besides," he continued with a smile, "I've seen a lot of people more nervous than you in the sims, some having regular freak outs even."
