Bramwell

Bramwell proceeded to put on the protective vest. This was relatively minor in comparison to the other suits he wore before, as they were graded for rifle caliber protection instead of pistol calibers. He was curious about the device, but was trying to get over the unfamiliarity.

"Uh, m-m-may I ask what is that trinket?" Bramwell said shyly. He really hated his shyness around unfamiliar people. It could cause him to stutter or repeat himself, which was something he hated to do. He had a curiosity about the object that he wanted to learn about it. Bramwell was a curious mind if one that usually hated what he found.

"HALLO? Ist jemand hier, um mich auf mein Zimmer zu lenken?"

What the hell? I thought. Since when have there been German's on the station? I haven't seen any since I've been here. I got up out of my seat, and started walking towards the off-ramp, when Scott Kerr started herding the students that were lingering in the hangar towards the shuttle. I only caught a brief glimpse of the German boy. He was tall, well built, with slicked black hair, and wearing a suit. His eyes flicked towards the shuttle for the briefest of seconds before the ramp closed and I saw glowing yellow pupils, the barest hint of fangs hidden behind his lips. Behind him, a cowed man wearing rags, his neck dotted with red spots.

With the press of students I was forced back into my seat. I listened, somewhat absently, as Scott detailed the equipment we'd been given. I attached the holstered gun to my belt, but ignored the bulletproof vest for the time being. Unless someone insisted I wear it, I didn't have any intention to. Obediently, I strapped myself into my seat, completely ignoring the fact that we were about to descend back to Earth. I was focusing, instead, on the absolute insanity of bringing a vampire to a school filled with super-powered minors. Obviously there was nothing I could do about it, and considering that we were now leaving the station it wasn't like I could ask the Headmaster any questions. Who then? Who could I talk to about vampires on the station?

I kicked myself for being so slow about it, vowing to talk to Scott Kerr, privately, the first chance I got. In the interim I sat back, and tried to enjoy the feeling of zero-gravity.

Selina looked at him and raised a brow. "It's a Gizmo. It has everything I need in it. An alarm clock, screen for talking to people, camera I can control seperatly from my watch and a few other things i care not to mention." She smiled shyly and blushed, just slightly then turned her head away from him and the gizmo floated up to him and stayed near his hands.

Selina was kicking herself for forgetting what other things she had put in that but those things were not important as of this moment. She had just listed a few things that Gizmo could do and what she could make it do.

Bramwell

To say that Bramwell was delighted by the Gizmo would be an understatement. Bramwell loved technology ever since he was four months old. With something like that floating right in front of him, he was giddy. The only thing that stopped him from trying anything with it was fear that he may break it or accidentally cause a different function that has unforseen consequences.

"This is impressive. Did you design this yourself?" Bramwell said in a giddy fashion.

Selina looked at him and smiled at his fasination and nodded. "Yes I did, took me a few years to get all the kinks and such out of it." As she said this the Gizmo popped open and started to blow bubbles at Bramwell, Selina looked at it and the bubbles went away. "Sorry, he tends to do that when people get exited." She smiled and the Gizmo floated back into her hand and she pressed a button and a camera came out and went on to Bramwell and stared at him.

Selina looking at her watch pressed a button and it started to dance. She just chuckled and looked at Bramwell. "Do you like it?" The Gizmo got the camera back and She handed it to Bramwell puting it in his hands.

Bramwell

"Yeah, this is already a more professional camera than any I have used before. It is functional, a technological marvel, and entertaining all at once. You area good programmer and designer," Bramwell decided to get a shot of the North American continent with the camera to test it's functionality. He did not really notice the fact Selina called it "he", as Bramwell knew people often anthropomorphized their creations. "This is fantastic, and it was not made by underpaid workers and shady deals. Get a best friend you will become rivals with later on and make a product that blows I.B.M. out of the water and you will go far."

Selina was blushing as of now and was in a state of shock that this guy was interested in her Gizmo. "Thank you." She listened to the rest of what he said and resonded. "I don't have any friends. I tend to not make more because sometimes Gizmo can be a trouble maker and i don't want that on my hands. Even if i taugth someone how to fix it they would make more and steal my idea and such and such would happen." She though it over in her head and tol him something. "My power is Technokinesis. Do you know what that is?" She looked at him for a second and then around her, ignoring the people looking at her and Bramwell.

Chram stepped out from the maintenance bay, leaving her former body to be taken back to the factory. She pressed her fingers against the soft flesh in her arm, before her hands found a more ample target. Her chest. "Wow... these feel wierd. I wonder how biologicals deal with them so well. Must be a practiced skill." she moved on to other parts of her body. Her hair was also particularly luxurious. A short but shining blonde. Unfortunately she was so engrossed she walked in analyzing herself she didn't pay attention to her surroundings.

Bramwell

"I can understand. You do not want to play Steve to whomever's Bill when the rivalry begins by way of an arguement over an innovative user interface. I would be more worried about somebody talking about 'Gizmo Radiation' or people not paying attention while using your p-products; but that is just the opinion of the guy who's most advanced creation is a program for established hardware," Bramwell said. When she asked the question about "A teletechno or technokinetic is somebody that exercises control over technology through telekinetic means. Why did you ask?"

Selina was impressed again by Bramwell and nodded at the mention of "Gizmo Radiation" the Gizmo was now in her hands and she was just tossing it back and forth between each hand. Then at the end she nodded as well. Hearing his responce to her answer. She raised brow. "That's my power." That's al she said she didn't need to explain more. Gizmo hovering was of her doing. She hadn't created Gizmo to hover.

Rachael had been one of the first to get changed into the uniform, and had swiftly returned to her seat to stuff her other clothes underneath. Thankfully, it was a little too loose, which was enough to help mask her limp. If they noticed that and sent her to the infirmary, she was screwed. She listened carefully to Kerr's explanation of the extra equipment they'd been issued, holding each item as it was introduced.
The bulletproof vest seemed pretty useful. When she was in Kildare, she'd never seen a rogue with a gun, but the students here had tranq pistols, or whatever they were. If Rachael needed to avoid getting shot while running off to deal with some of the rogues, it would be very handy.
The two-way radio would be less useful. If wasn't as if she wanted to contact the others anyway, and it could also be used as a tracking device if it had been programmed right. She quietly disposed of the batteries onto the floor.
Last and best was the pistol. Just a taser one, but it would do in conjunction with other weapons. Anyone who struggled too hard... She was also eager to test out the heart attack hypothesis, perhaps on one of the lovebirds - of course, totally accidentally.

Any connections with the swine was severed centuries ago." Erkenfried said as he then dusted his gloved hands and motioned for his Thrall to grab multiple suitcases.

Anderson stepped through the doors to hangar bay one, followed by Jenkins and a half dozen guards carrying heavy assault rifles loaded with special rounds designed to kill vampires. The small group walked right up to Erkenfried and his thrall, ignoring the others present. Anderson's dislike of the young vampire was clearly visible on his face, he wouldn't even have let it onto the station if its family hadn't offered a substantial monetary donation to the school. Jenkins on the other hand looked just as calm as ever, just observing the German and his slave attentively, ready to spring into action should they prove to be troublesome.

"You did not receive permission to bring any servants onto the station, Mister Wulf," Anderson said sternly, looking with disapproval at the slave, "he will return planetside with the next shuttle. Your luggage will remain here until we've searched it for contraband, you will come with us to your room." He rested his hand on the handle of a gun holstered at his hip, "do you understand?"

Joaquin and Brayden

Joaquin was walking around the hangar while reciting Article 17 constantly. He was paranoid about the implications to say the least. He already had a stomach virus, and did not feel well. As far as he was concerned, he needed fresh-air and to get medication from the infirmary. In a declaration of war made by luck upon various people's stomachs, he crossed a corner to see Chram. He immediately ran back around the corner feeling as though he was about to throw up. As he got away from that, he ran into Doctor Brayden. He apologized and teleported away to parts unknown. Unfortunately for Doctor Brayden, he had the same stomach virus and did not have teleportation to get out of the way of the impact. A bad day for Brayden was just made worse when he was not able to tell Joaquin to teleport him to the infirmary before he teleported away just outside the hangar. The day had just gotten worse, and the only place it could go was down.

Two of the guards stayed behind to detain the thrall and search the bags, while the other four took up formation around Anderson and the vampire to keep it from trying anything. Jenkins walked in front of the group to clear the way for them.

Anderson answered the vampire while they walked, "we have procured blood packs for your dietary needs, your benefactors have confirmed that it is sufficient. You will not try to feed on anyone on this station, under any circumstances." At that time they had reached the room the vampire would sleep in, alone. There was no way in hell Anderson would let anyone share a room with a bloodsucking monster, so he had arranged for it to get a room to itself. He turned to face the vampire, "do you understand?"

Erkenfield sighed at the man's racism and ignorance.
"A room to myself? My, while the racism here is astounding there practically appears to be perks. And of course I would never feed upon a student. Last I need is to constantly worry of a jokester out for revenge. I also trust that you'll watch out for any of those 'ferals'? I've heard they were even teachers before you were appointed headmaster." The Vampire said before he entered the room and was pleased to find a lack of windows.

Ularn wrote:
"Right, come on - everyone aboard!"
Just as Scott was climbing aboard the departing shuttle he noticed one of the passengers coming off of the one which had just arrived. The frail, elderly figure was dressed entirely in white, yet the piercing blue of his eyes was visible from the opposite side of the hangar. Scott's brow furrowed as he dipped inside the shuttle hatch, trying to remember why the figure was familiar. It wasn't unusual to see random heroes in The School. Several active heroes, vigilantes and even a few villains used the station as a secondary base or travelled there for reasons related to their work. Often Scott recognised them but he couldn't quite place this one...
"Excuse me," he asked one of the technicians who was just leaving the shuttle, "Who's that just getting off the other shuttle with the mice in a cage?"
"Uh..." the tech flipped over a sheet on a notepad he was carrying, "That's Ichihara Ryota...or Ryota Ichihara - I'm not really sure how these Japanese names work, Mr Kerr,"
"No problem, thanks." Scott slid past the technician and saw Burton in the cockpit running pre-flight checks. "Nice knife," he commented, "That a kukri?"
As Burton replied and the shuttle hatch slid shut Scott made his way through to the passenger compartment, thinking about Ichihara Ryota and kicking himself for not recognising the Japanese hero who was single-handedly responsible for the fact that Tokyo was still standing in spite of at east three separate Godzilla attacks. Hopefully Scott would get a chance to talk to the legend when he got back from Kildare.
Most of the students were seated and dressed or still getting changed into their camouflage. "Okay guys, well done for getting up this early. We'll be leaving in a couple of minutes; our destination is the HMS Ocean in the Irish Sea. Ocean's a British amphibious assault ship - picture an aircraft carrier for helicopters - where we'll be linking up with elements from the Black Watch for a final briefing before we head out for Kildare. In the mean time, gonna talk you through the rest of your kit.
"Everyone should have a bullet proof vest in their bundle; you can stick that on now as well but please don't be tempted to test it's protection. As well as that there's a two-way radio set to channel two. Keep it on that channel and you'll stay in contact with everyone else. That bottle is filled with something kind of like Lucozade but even worse for your teeth. A lot of you'll get tired out from using your powers so this should give you the calories to keep going. The last other thing, which is a taser pistol. One shot should be enough to temporarily incapacitate an adult for a few seconds, allowing you to cuff them with the restraints that should be in one of the pockets on your body armour. These are meant to be less-than-lethal weapons but, as Bramwell discovered yesterday, multiple shots can induce a heart attack and potentially kill your target, so be careful with them. We'll give you the ammo for them on Ocean.
"Now," he concluded, "Strap in and we'll be back on Earth soon." Scott tapped on the hatch leading to the cockpit and said, "Burton, we're all set. Take us out when you're ready," then went to his own seat at the front of the compartment and did up his seatbelt as the pitch of the shuttle's engine began to climb.

Burton had been slightly annoyed by the arrival of a smaller shuttle delaying takeoff, but it was pointless to go beyond that.

Finally when control cleared him he started to cycle the engines up, careful not to overpressure them early or risk damage. Scott had asked him about the blade earlier but before he could respond the other man had apparently re-focused his attention to his students, so he simply watched the gauges until the knock and clearance from Scott came to depart.

In a practiced smooth series of movements Burton activated the VTOL thrusters, gradually building power until he felt the entire shuttle start to go light before applying horizontal thrust. The delta-shaped shuttle started to move forward, slowly at first but like all thrust-powered vehicles it built speed with an almost impossible pace and pressed down on the occupants with more and more g-forces, especially in the lower atmosphereic pressure and gravity of space.

Once the walls of the hangar bay had fallen away, the viewports of the shuttle on all sides were greeted by stars, the blue orb of earth, and various glints of objects in earth orbit. Burton took a moment to wonder what could have happened if the suck-heads hadn't gone and started a war....

There wasn't that much time to wonder however, and Burton punched in the intersect coordinates for the HMS Ocean into the navicomputer. Seeing the "crow line" on the nav screens as well as navigational points pop up on the HUD he went about the business of maneuvering in space and applying just the right amount of thrust at the right time. It took less than a minute before the shuttle was oriented on an approach and entry path and touchdown counter was viable.

Flipping on the interior comms of the shuttle he filled everyone else in
"Attention team, current time till intercept with HMS ocean is T Minus 7 minutes and counting. Until we touch down everybody will stay strapped to their seats."

With that out of the way Burton then punched up the sattelite comms relay and attempted to talk with the HMS Ocean. However after a minute and with atmospheric reentry looming, there was a problem, one that he couldn't fix.

"Scott, you're needed in the cockpit immedietely."

Selina feeling the shuttle take off she quickly strapped herself in and put her Gizmo in her pocket and curled her feet up close to her. Not moving. She had a problem with things taking off and was scared. But she didn't show it and just curled up tighly letting the shuttle do it's thing. When she heard the radio she nodded her head to herself and kept quiet again. All she thought about now was her life and her long lost friends and how she had came here to this place.

Scott furrowed his brow at Burton's request on the intercom. Unbuckling his seatbelt, he braced himself against the backrest and pushed off gently, propelling him through the gravity-less passenger compartment towards the cockpit hatch. He tapped the access panel and the hatch slid away into a recess, allowing him to glide through the threshold.
"What's up?" he asked over Burton's shoulder, staring out the window - Scott was pretty sure it wasn't a windshield where there was no wind - as the hatch slid shut behind him.

Burton motioned to the adjacent seat next to him.
"Better sit down and strap in, we're less than a minute away from reentry, which will be rough to say the least."

Before he continued Burton lifted a hand to the headset on his head, adjusting slightly to hear the chatter before responding verbally through the microphone.

"Negative Houston, although the offer is appreciated. Maybe on the return trip we can get close to the old Hubble, give the students and eyeful. Over and out."
Before looking at Scott out of the corner of his eye as he managed the flight speed and made minute course corrections.

"I've gotten contact with HMS Ocean but they're threatening to fire at us unless we transmit some kind of clearance code. I've tried the schools codes and my own USAF, SOCOM, and another more classified clearance code but nothing's worked.

It's your mission Scott, if anybody would know what they require it would be you. There's a headset over there, HMS Ocean comms are slaved to channel 251."

Scott bit his lip then nodded and settled into the co-pilot's seat while putting on the radio headset. "HMS Ocean, this is Academy Shuttle One," he said, "Please respond, over."
"Unknown aircraft," came the response, "This is your final warning. Transmit clearance codes or divert course. Any other action will our opening fire on you."
Scott spat his codes out through gritted teeth. There was a moment's pause from HMS Ocean's radio operator, followed by, "Negative on code clearance. Transmit clearance codes or divert course,"
Scott's heart was pounding. There had to have been some mistake but where? It wasn't possible that all of his, Burton's and The Schools codes were invalid so that meant the mistake was at Ocean's end, where no-one would be willing to listen and where in all likelihood the escorting destroyers were already preparing their surface-to-air missiles for launch. Scott had to find some way to stop them but that couldn't be possible over a radio link against military security protocols. He had minutes to do something before the best that humanity had to offer were blown out of the sky in a friendly fire incident. "Ocean, we have transmitted codes," he pleaded, "This is Second Lieutenant Scott Kerr, British Army, transporting personnel for upcoming operations. There is an army Captain John Harman aboard your vessel who will confirm my identity,"
"Negative. There is no Captain Harman aboard this vessel. Divert course immediately or be fired upon."
"Ocean I'm telling you, this is Cinder, do not fire!"
A buzzer started going and Burton swore. "What is it?" Scott asked.
"Missile lock," Burton pointed to the radar screen which showed two small dots rapidly zooming towards them from the cluster representing Ocean and her escorts. Burton started spinning the shuttle in evasive manoeuvres while chaff and flares spilled from its countermeasure pods and Scott shouted desperately to the radio operator to abort their firing mission.
It was maybe five seconds to impact and the missiles had yet to lose lock when for no reason they suddenly winked out on the radar screen. The beeping stopped and Scott heard a new voice on the radio set, "Good to know sometimes even the Academy's gizmos can be fooled by our EW. Hope you didn't soil that fancy suit of yours, Lieutenant."
Scott's eyes went wide, "Captain Harman?"
There was laughter in the background as the familiar voice replied, "Hope you didn't mind our little joke, Lieutenant. Tell your pilot his first codes were accepted; he can make his approach. Ocean out."
Scott tugged off the headset and looked at Burton, realising that he was still panting. "That son of a bitch!" Scott blurted out, breaking into a relieved smile.

Bramwell and Makoto

With the aircraft now headed home, he decided to do someting in preparation. Specifically, he put on a grey balaclava for reasons of him being on the station was something the Department of Defense was keeping surreptitious. Makoto was saying that Sakura had been somewhat distant from and slow to react to everything that was happening on the station. Bramwell went into the mind wearing a business suit and had brought little else beyond an I.D. since he assumed it would be just like the first time he went in. When he appeared, he was underwater and having trouble breathing since he was not breathing in perfluorocarbons. When he breached the surface, it was only a brief respite before a tsunami swept him under with a force like no other. He felt as if he was surrounded by concrete that was pummeling him. Within a minute's time, he was out of Sakura's mind and gasping for air as he re-adjusted to being in the real-world. He had missed the aileron rolls, and so had no idea of a prank that would inspire face-palms from Bramwell when he would hear about it later.

By the time Scott got on board and began giving out instructions and information to the students that were on the shuttle, Raymond had already figured out what most of the equipment in the package that had the camo gear was. Of course, he didn't know what the bottle of liquid was until Scott explained it, but the rest was kind of obvious in the first place. So when the rest of the instructions were given, Raymond strapped himself and then simply waited quietly, looking out the window.

When the shuttle was about to leave the station, Raymond prepared for the take-off. If he didn't like it back at Earth, then he certainly wouldn't like it now.

However, when everything passed and they were out in space, he simply went back to staring off the window, looking at the scenery, observing the thousands of points of light that were dotting it.

The morning of the mission, though obviously slightly later than those who were actually going on it, Sarah woke up. Since she hadn't even signed up for the mission, she wasn't in a hurry or anything, and apparently the first class was at 10 AM, so she had plenty of free time that morning. However, she also knew that she still needed energy, so she went to take a shower and, after that, she got dressed and headed towards the cafeteria to get some breakfast. Once she was actually there, she put her food on a tray and then headed to one of the tables, where she sat down and began eating. As she did so, she wondered how things would go for those who went on the mission, as well as what was in store for those who didn't.

Tyler chuckled to himself, "yeah, I think both of them got to go. I think the administration is worried that I'll lose control of my powers and hurt someone, as opposed to someone playing hero and getting only themselves hurt."

"And you know, being nervous isn't really a bad thing. It just means that you're smart enough to be afraid of dangerous things. You know that old saying: 'Courage isn't the lack of fear, it is the ability to act despite your fear.' That's pretty much true, in my opinion. Being afraid of nothing, never feeling nervous, would just mean being reckless and stupid." In his opinion her performance in the sim was more impressive because she was nervous than if she had been calm throughout, if she did her job so well when nervous then there was no telling how good she'd be once she learned to control her nerves. "I think that's why professional soldiers train so much, so they learn how to control their fear even in the heat of battle."

"Besides," he continued with a smile, "I've seen a lot of people more nervous than you in the sims, some having regular freak outs even."

Cassie let out a sigh, not really sure what to think. "Yet they let Rachael on who I feel like is much more likely to cause the exact problems you just mentioned.....She seems to always be causing problems in the classes. I don't know...." She said quietly, shaking her head in disbelief.

Cassie smiled shyly. If he had any way to tell, he could tell that being praised and saying things like 'being nervous isn't a bad thing' was a very rare occurrence for her. Her father would of probably said the exact opposite of what he just said. "I don't actually know that saying...." She said quietly, and looked distant for a bit before shaking herself back into reality. She nodded to what he said, agreeing with it completely, and just said, "Thanks for understanding" in response to the fact he didn't seem to mind how nervous she was. Probably because, despite that, she still managed to get lucky, in her opinion, and take out 2 people during the simulation.

She smiled to the last thing, and nodded in understanding. "I've always thought I was nervous....but I saw some pretty nervous people back at my school" She said, and there was a hint of disgust to her voice at the mention of her school.

After a bit, Cassie pulled out her IPod and placed it on the table, then fiddled through a few things on it. She then hooked up her ear buds to it, turned the volume to a low volume, and put the ear buds in, deciding to listen to a song from a movie she had watched a few days ago, when she had nothing better to do. Her opinion on it was that it was pretty good, especially the acting in it. The story was nothing amazing, but enjoyable. But the acting was great. It was one of those movies that she found not the most amazing movie ever, but for whatever reason was a movie that she could watch a few times, despite the fact she was one of those people who didn't really care to watch movies over and over again. Even over something she would rate higher. And she started to really dig that song from the movie, so she decided to add it to her IPod. She didn't even really know why she dug it so much. It was a good chill song, which was probably part of it. And she always loved a good song to just space out to, and think about life. Those were a lot of times her all-time favorite songs, though this song was definitely not her all-time favorite song. Just a song she enjoyed quite a lot at the moment.

"I can still hear you, you know, so don't think I'm just ignoring you" Cassie reassured Tyler. "I have the volume very low so I can still hear you" She said to him, smiling slightly. She started to hum quietly to the song she was listening to, but she doubted that he would be able to recognize it from her humming, especially since it was from an independent film that not a whole lot of people probably ever saw.

(Caitlin)
When Scott started to speak, she payed complete attention. At the mention of the bullet proof vests, she instantly searched through her bundle of stuff and took out the vest, and put it on without a second thought. She was perfectly fine with having that. At first she wondered why Tara didn't put it on, but then remembered that she seemed to heal quickly when injured, so she was lucky. She nodded to the rest of what he said, acknowledging that she heard what he had to say. And as soon as they were directed to buckle up, she sat down and did so.

As they took off, she smiled, but at the same time felt more nervous. Once they had got to a more steady flight, she just 'relaxed' and started to sing quietly to herself. It was so quiet that you couldn't really make out the words, and the engines likely made it even more difficult because of draining her out even more. Though, from what you could hear of her singing, it wasn't all half bad, but nothing amazing, and it was hard to judge good singing from something like how she was singing. She randomly wished she had her guitar to play while they flew, even though it was a short flight.

Caitlin felt something was wrong, and she wasn't sure what. Little did she know it was a prank of sorts being pulled on them, or Scott. She just raised an eyebrow, and figured if it was anything major, they would be informed of what was going on, so she went back to singing to herself random lyrics from various songs. It was like she was combining lyrics from 5 different songs to make 1 song of her own, if you could call it that.
