Daniel smiled, since he was prolonging the discussion, what he wanted. He however justified it with a small and silent laugh and the words:

" I'm not intruding. I was coming to talk and I knocked at the door to know if I was disturbing. Then I noticed something was on the floor... "

Daniel at this point put his finger in front of him, and looked concerned. Was this...

He tasted it off, completely spaced out, asking himself if the substance was really blood. In that case, what was doing here?

"Actually, I seem to recall you said you'd enter anyway unless I had a good reason, and I doubt that you'd find my privacy a good reason. So, you just came to ask a cryptic question and taste the floor? That's not exactly the greatest reason." Rachael was getting pretty annoyed now, but she didn't want to show it. That was weakness, which seemed to be what Mario was looking for. She just kept sitting there, straight faced, though with a slight look of disgust when he licked the blood off his finger.

"Now to start the ritual." Shade said as he pull out the blood covered athame from his sleeve. He made sure it drip at the right spots of the paper. Then the magic circle starts to glow a dark grey. First the large center circle, then the eight smaller circles surrounding it, then the octagon that united the eight, two squares to form the Star of Lakshmi, lines that connect each circle to the central one, and finally, the circle that surrounds it all.

Lord of Shadows, heed my call,
The Child of Night asks you,
Strengthen the seal on this man,
To block the coming of the dawn,
And return the sun to its eternal sleep

The shadows around Antonio starts to act strange. Its starts to cover him like Venom but made him look like a mummified person, until his entire body is covered.

"Hello friend." A voice said on the wall next to Antonio. Shade then bow down in front of the wall.

"I am deeply honored of your coming, my lord." Shade said.

"You simply called me, and I came, Erebus." The being said as he flow out of the wall and reform next to Shade. He look like a gargoyle. Long pull back horns, clawed hands and feet, with a back talon on his feet, bat wings of his back, and glowing dark grey eyes.

"I need to strengthen the seal of the mana elemental."

"Well, carry on Erebus, unless you want to make you vessel into a shadow being." Shade then place his hand on Antonio's forehead and pull out nine hollow spheres, the ninth being larger than the rest. Following the magic circle, he arrange it like so, then in each circle a piece of an element appear. A flame, a bolt of lighting, a cloud, a piece of ice, a floating ball of water, a block of wood, a piece of marble, a piece of steel and, a swirling ball of mana. The spheres then connect themselves into position, all that's left is the final circle. What the things in the spheres are the seeds. What the others would need to become physically independent from Antonio. Unfortunately, he would lose a part of himself, and if all of them are out, Antonio would end up in a coma, hollow inside, making it very easy for the mana elemental to absorb.

"Now what do I owe you?" Shade asked.

"Nothing much Erebus. Give me news about the mana elemental, and such, and such. My offer still stands though." The being said. "Come with me, you could bring the vessel along. You would make a fine Duke of Night."

"As much as I would be honored to be given the title, I must still decline. I still have my purpose here." Shade said with a bow.

"Very well. I'll give you more power." The being then place his palm on Shade's head as the sudden burst of darkness flow through him. Then the being disappeared. Shade's eyes glow a bright purple as he raise his hand, gathering what Antonio don't need. His negative emotions, negative thoughts, even negative memories, are pulled out of his body and into Shade's hand. Gathering enough he then use it to make the final circle, the darkness that binds them. Once the magic circle is complete, it suck itself into Antonio, including the room's darkness. Shade then vanish as Antonio continued sleeping with the magic circle seemingly tattooed on the back of his neck.

Time to bullshit up an excuse. Rachael looked around the room, slightly shaking, trying to spot something that could have hurt her, then shrugged. "It's bleeding? Oh, I got a cut from one of the combat lessons a few days ago, I probably hit it on something and re-opened it. I haven't gone to the infirmary because they already know about it and it's pointless. It'll heal up soon anyway. Now, leave. Please."

Daniel didn't believe it was true, he did too much to hide something to it being only an old cut. But he smiled nonetheless: he didn't have now the weapons to continue his interrogation, but he knew where to take it.

" Fine, I'll go. Sorry to have disturbed you. " He said smiling and exited the door. He then took an elevator: next stop, the Infirmary records.

As soon as Mercury left, Rachael relaxed and laid back on the bed. She was pretty sure he hadn't believed it, but at least he'd finally left. It had been pretty scary trying to keep him out and away from finding out, but he couldn't find out, because if he did, then she was screwed. She'd be stuck in counselling somewhere and never have a chance to escape and help others do the same. After waiting for a while to check that Mercury wouldn't stand outside then burst in, she rolled up the trouser leg, placed the book out of harm's way, and fished the scissors out from underneath the bed.

Caitlin nodded to Tara's explanation of why she didn't want to be the leader. It made perfect sense to her. It was hard keeping track of too many things at once after all, like fighting the enemy, leading people around, and other things your mind might be thinking of at the same time. That could be anything from family, to being worried about getting your squad killed, to as small as a thing of some dumb mistake you made at breakfast early. The possibilities of crap clouding up your judgement and mine were endless, and that sometimes could be the end of not just you, but your whole group.

When Tara suggested Cassie lead them, she seemed hesitant at that idea at first, since Cassie seemed to fit everything she was just thinking that could cloud your judgement. From her knowledge of Cassie, her past seemed to get to her a lot, based on how she seemed to react to things. And the fact she seemed very nervous, despite the fact this was only a simulation and not real life, made her skeptical as well. Not that she wasn't scared either, but she was much calmer then Cassie was being, because she trained herself for this thing more. And it seemed like Cassie had this fear of guns, so that didn't help.

Before Caitlin could voice her opinion though, Cassie looked over at Tara and blinked slightly in surprise, then started shaking slightly. "I-I-i don't t-think that'd be a g-good idea" She stammered, clearly afraid of possibly getting the team 'killed' (Despite the fact Tara couldn't 'die' as far as everyone knew. She didn't want the feeling of guilt on her shoulders if the plan backfired because of her leadership, which she already felt would be crappy as is, because she was never really in a leadership position. Caitlin just responded by patting her on the shoulder, and smiling. "It will be okay Cassie. It's just a simulation. Best to experiment while we are in a simulation. You never know, you could make a great leader, and you just aren't aware of it. It's good to discover our hidden talents while in a simulation" She responded, obviously in a quiet whisper because otherwise they'd be getting themselves caught before too long. Cassie nodded slightly, then let out a sigh and gave in. She smiled at the both of them ever so slightly, before just going back to looking scared.

Caitlin was about to tell Tara that she could just say they answer in her head and Bramwell would get it, because she had done that herself, but it seemed like Tara had gotten a reply before she could speak up, so she said nothing and just waited for the permission to 'go'.

During this time, Cassie was darting around, trying to think of a quick idea and to concentrate. She swallowed deeply, trying to calm down her unsteady nerves, if not only so she could speak straight instead of blabbering the plans. "Tara, I think you probably should go first. I know it sounds bad, but it's probably best for them to notice you first. I will follow you in, but keep a lower profile so I don't get noticed instantly, and maybe they will think you are the only one here. Or...or we both start to sneak up on them, then Caitlin goes through the wall and distracts them, then goes back quickly, and then we jump out and react. Figuratively on the jumping part obviously" She said, chuckling slightly at the last part of what she said, though it almost seemed like she was just trying to calm herself and cheer herself up. At the moment, it seemed like she calmed down some, talking helping her. But that would likely change quickly once they actually started going. "Of course Caitlin will then join us more in the fight, but for her safety, it'd be best to go back through the wall, and we catch them off guard" She said, to which Caitlin nodded in agreement to her plan, but looked at Tara for confirmation since she seemed to be the most intelligent with plans out of the 3 of them.

Deep within his mind, Antonio suddenly wake up as shadow-like ribbons cuff his hands and feet, making him suspended in mid air.

"W-where am I? W-what's going on here?" He said as he try to escape but with no avail. Looking around, he sees elementals in the similar position but also made blind, deaf, and mute by the ribbons covering their eyes, ears, and mouth, respectively. "Fire, Lighting, Wind, Frost, Water, Wood, Earth, and Metal, how did I know that?" He then felt something moving from both above and below him. The ribbons are trying to do the same thing it did to the others. He tries to slip through the cuffs but it doesn't budge.

"That won't work, child." A man wearing a monochrome Victorian outfit with top hat and cane said as he appears in front of Antonio. The ribbons start to cover him when the man use his cane and pull Antonio out.

"Salamat po. ('formal' thank you)" Antonio said as a look-a-like took his place to being bound. The being is new to him, looking like a humanoid glowing blue plasma being. "Is that..."

"Yes, the mana elemental sealed inside you. Now come along, child. Unless you want to stay here for who knows when." The man said as he grab Antonio's arm and quickly walk away.

"Wait, who are you? Where are we going?" Antonio asked. When they reach a certain distance away, they see lines forming, then a dark purple ring surrounding it, the spell finally complete.

"You could call me Lord Shadow, child." He then tap the ground three times, then a dark portal appear. "And we're going to the Elemental Plane of Shadow." He said as they both fall into the portal.

Antonio then woke up, not knowing anything about the strange dream. He goes to the bath room and washes his face. Looking at the mirror closely, he could see his eyes showing a dark purple color than the usual dark brown, it appears black from afar.

"Don't worry Antonio, it's only temporary. You can have your body back as soon as I find a better way to seal it." Shade said.

Tyler was feeling slightly impatient, thinking that the discussion of who should lead them was fairly irrelevant. In his experience people in combat were usually too busy trying to avoid getting shot to listen much to any leader, so arguing over who should be designated leader was quite pointless. At least Cassie seemed quite confident in her plan, even if she seemed to have forgotten that he was there, and seeing her confident in any way was quite refreshing since she usually seemed so insecure.

"Sounds like a good plan," he said to the three girls, looking at Cassie and nodding, "but we should probably start the attack soon so they can't prepare for it, because that would make it much more difficult to grab Doe alive."

Bramwell and Makoto

"Go." It was the simple phrase Bramwell gave. In twenty seconds, he and Makoto would start a cross-fire from their covered position with a spread of twenty feet seperating the duo while the flanking team would attack ten-seconds after them. They would not use their powers to attack, and would instead focus on laying down covering fire from the position. They had checked their weapons, and took the safeties off. "Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one." The two then proceeded to move themselves slightly out of cover to fire. Bramwell's telepathy meant they would be aiming exactly where they needed to for the first two shots of the firefight at the two biggest threats to them. They had fifty feet seperating them and the bar windows. They still had a full twelve minutes before the midget would arrive if they were talking exact numbers. Their time in the J.R.O.T.C. meant they knew how to fire small-arms well. The two, dressed as hard-boiled detectives, would make for an odd impression if the A.I. could actually have them. It could summon imagery of the noir films due to the images of these two in trenchcoats and fedoras firing upon them, and may even cause them to think police forces, either private or undercover, are ambushing them. "Five, four, three, two, one." Bramwell sent in a live message to the flanking team.

Tyler
Tyler heard gunshots from the other side of the pub, and a few seconds later a very annoying voice in his head that told him it was time for his team to attack as well. He jumped out of cover and ran for the door, staying low to lessen the risk of getting shot. The others would probably be right behind him but he didn't stop to check until he reached the door, which he found was locked. While it would have been useful to slip in silently there was no time to waste, so loud would have to do.

"Stand back," he said to the girls, placing the palm of his left hand on the door and channeling a burst of kinetic energy into it. The heavy iron door was blown inwards, flying off its hinges with enough force to hit the wall opposite the doorway. There was no way that Doe hadn't heard that, so they had to hurry. "Let's go," he said before quickly heading inside, keeping his eyes out for any signs of the enemy.

John Doe
John Doe was sitting at a table, keeping an eye on the door and waiting, when gunfire suddenly erupted from outside. One of his men fell to the floor, looking like he had a seizure of some sort, and another threw himself to the floor an instant before the window he was covering exploded into shards. The man who had been hit was in a great deal of pain, but wasn't dying, so Doe grabbed him and shoved him up against the window. Using the man's body as a shield and looking through his eyes he returned fire at the assailants from relative safety, while his remaining men crawled over to the windows to join him. Then the floor suddenly shook as a loud crash came from the back of the pub.

"Get the fuck back there and see what that was," he shouted at his men between shots.

Two of his thugs headed towards the back rooms to see what was going on there, while Doe and the two remaining men stayed near the front of the bar to fire at the attackers outside.

Bramwell and Makoto

Seeing as to how John Doe somehow thought that human shields are a viable tactic, they decided to take advantage of a mistake. Salt is a conductor, and skin has large amounts of it. Due to how John Doe was making a clear effort to use it as a shield, it meant he was keeping it readily visible and a viable target. Seeing that, Bramwell fired a few shots at the body before ducking back behind cover to reload. In spite of whatever happened in response, Makoto would be able to see it as he spaced his shots and fired. The two were almost laughing the moment he held up a body to shield himself due to how ineffective it would be under most ciurcumstances. Based upon their knowledge of electricity, the salt would bring the current right over to John Doe, and they doubted he was wearing a rubber suit. They hoped that the simulation would take the fact the salt in the skin acts as a conductor and allow it to travel through John Doe should it hit.

The poor guy John Doe was using to shield himself was struck several more times, twitching like a maniac as electricity was pumped from the small needles attached to the bullets into his body. Doe himself didn't notice anything more than a slight tingle where his skin touched the guy, because most of the electricity that went into him never got as far as Doe. After a few rounds his 'shield' stopped twitching, tensing up like a steel spring and gasping for breath, and then he collapsed. The abuse had been too much for him, so he had died. Doe dropped the body when it became too heavy to hold up and took cover behind the wall, firing off the occasional badly aimed shot with the help of his men's line of sight.

One of the thugs spotted one of the people trying to shoot them and quickly fired off a few rounds, hoping to kill the trenchcoat-wearing punk.

Bramwell and Makoto

"Damn. Makoto, the guy in there died. We need to tell the school about the "less-than-lethal" rounds if the ciurcumstances were able to kill somebody. They may want to talk with Taser Interational assuming that they did not steal the XREP design and put it in a pistol. On a different note, why did the electricity not transfer to John Doe? It is literally salt touching salt. Why did the electricity not go straight into John Doe. It should have been no different than having an elecrtical source run through two uncovered electric circuits," Bramwell said in a somewhat stressed manner. He did not like what was going on, especially when several bullets headed his way. The rounds were fired at such a speed that they were more headed in a ten-foot radius that happened to have him at the center. A bullet did get him the ear, but he felt no pain from it. He could tell there was no adrenaline pumping in his veins, and his heart rate had not even increased in the wake of the firefight. He could actually feel the system sending a relatively painless electric shock to him. Appearently, the system was not designed with somebody that can ignore sensory information in mind instead of a person who cannot ignore sensory information under any ciurcumstance.

"Bramwell, now is not the time or the correct location for those concerns about the chemistry of this simulation or if the school needs to make the exact nature of the pistol's 'less-than-lethal' nature more clear to us," Makoto said with a calm professionalism as she lined up a shot for the thug that fired the shots at Bramwell. She was actually more stressed than Bramwell because she could disregard sensory information, and so the simulation was immersive to her rather than uncanny. She did not panic over the death of a person she knew was fake in the same manner that one would view a ragdoll being hit in a physics engine. She was stressed because the firefight felt real to her. Her adrenaline was pumping, and her body was about to reach the point where she would be running on pure instinct and training.

Cassie was just about to get moving at the order of "Go", but Tyler beat her to it. Which was fine, because he was supposed to sort of be 'her shield', so to speak. She was nervous, but the adrenaline of what was about to take place seemed to 'calm her', if that was the right word, making it so she was more relaxed and could focus better. It seemed like during hard times, she could be pretty focused once it actually started. But before, she'd likely be terrified. And after, liking scared and possibly crying from all the stress, close calls, taking lives, and whatever else might happen during the 'action'. Though, it wasn't likely for her to cry over dead AI, but she'd still feel guilty because they were so life-like. Imagine if she accidentally killed someone she cared for, or saw someone she'd care for die, if she'd cry at the idea of taking the life away from someone who likely rightfully deserved it.

Both girls backed up from the door when he told them to, and watched what he was doing with the door. It came to them that it was apparently locked, so he was going with the 'loud' route to get in. It made sense. Whoever this 'midget' was that they had heard of, it didn't sound like a good thing to waste time for to wait to come. And as far as Cassie knew, nobody here knew how to unlock doors easily or quickly. She definitely couldn't, and neither could Caitlin, and never of them wanted to find out who this Midget was. Caitlin had the though that it was a little man who 'loved fire', and was an arsonist (probably meaning they were a pyro), but that was just her nerdy side coming out again, and she really had no idea what to expect from this "Midget". As far as she knew, the "Midget" could actually be huge, and that was just some name they gave him for whatever reason.

After the door burst inward in an awesome way, like some action movie, Cassie followed Tyler in. Caitlin was the one who seemed to think that, despite how load it was, the door bursting inward was awesome. As soon as everyone went in, Caitlin went through the wall, but was only in another room, not actually where she'd be distracting anyone as of yet. Cassie was breathing heavily and pressed herself up against the wall of the other doorway where it seemed people were heading, or at least she expected where people were heading. They had made quite the entrance after all, and it likely alerted someone to the back of the building.

Caitlin wasn't entirely sure when the best time to go through the wall was, because she was blind at knowing when people were coming, but she vaguely thought she heard some people coming back to where Cassie, Tyler, and Tara were, so she quickly warped through the wall, shouting "Hey, over here!" to the two thugs that were likely not too far from the back room now, and quickly warped back through the wall, likely as they were firing, or getting ready to fire at the sudden distraction and intrusion through the wall.

Cassie heard the shout from Caitlin, and knew it was now the best time for action. The men were likely distracted, so, taking up all the bravery that she had left in her, she quickly jumped in front of the doorway, shot off about 2 rounds from each of the pistols given to her, and quickly got back to cover against the side of the doorway. She had no idea if she had hit any of them, and didn't really care if she did either. Sure, it'd likely bring their attention back to them, but likely Tyler and Tara at this point would be able to kick some ass to them as well. At this time Caitlin was now back in the room with them, her sword drawn, ready to stab someone if they were stupid enough to just walk back into the room that shots were just being fired from. She also had her pistol drawn just in case as well.

Antonio is falling through the portal, where sounds and images from the past appear to him.

Unknown Location, United States of America, Some Days Ago

A man and a woman are watching a collection of news snippets on the television.

"... with the signing of the new law, the president has formed the Anti-Corruption Agency, the Anti-Poverty Agency, and the Philippine Human Rights Agency.*kzzt* Only a few days after forming, the ACA has discovered and proved guilty a surprising number of corrupt government workers, religious officials, businessmen, and politicians. *kzzt* Poverty is going down as the APA continue their work. All ready, we can see the progress as the city slums are decreasing in size and number. *kzzt* Researchers at the Philippines has discovered the cure for cancer, they said earlier today. Their research on rice, and other crops, found a rice variant that actually eliminate 95% of all forms of cancer, which they discovered by chance when they're working on a way to improve rice production. The local bishops have called it a miracle." A number of news people said from different news channels before the television was turned off.

"What's all this?" The man said.

"If you have listen closely, these are all talking about the Philippines recently, the 'Miracle of Asia', as the international media said." The woman said. "From what we gathered, this is likely to be the cause of a super being." She then pull out a case file. "His name is Isaac Fernandez. His power is the ability to make good luck happen. As he's recently working for the Philippine government, he's untouchable to us. But we want him on our side, at least. The Academy of the Empowered gave us this transcript of a hacked in phone call to his younger brother, Antonio. It said that a third person, their mother, also develop powers, a passive mass healing aura, we believe." She said as she gave him the file.

"What do you want from me then? If we can't touch him, then why are you asking me?" The man asked.

"We want you to make sure Isaac wouldn't use his power for malevolent purposes, and to make sure we get to use him, even for a short time." He then nodded.

Manila, Philippines

Isaac shows a symbol in a circle on a large piece of paper someone. To an untrained eye, the symbol looks like a bunch of wavy lines, but to a trained magic user, its a modified good luck glyph.

"And what's this?" He asked.

"This is what we're going to put as the 'Made in the Philippines' logo, or something. I don't know why, but I think this would work." Isaac said. The man agrees, only on a limited basis to test the symbol's popularity with both foreigners and locals. When he's all alone, Isaac then rub his head as he try to find his balance. Giving good luck to the entire country is taking its toll, on both body, and mind.

"Isaac, Isaac." A glowing white, pale skinned, female figure from the distance yet strangely whispered on his ear. "Come, my Chancellor of Good Fortune." He shake his head, removing the hallucination.

'What's happening to me?' He thought as he take heavy breaths.

"Brother..." Antonio said before he hit the ground, not that hard surprisingly. After fixing himself, he sees that he's in the middle of a large medieval style throne room with three men in from of him, one of them is the one who brought him here..

The two thugs wheeled around when Caitlin appeared through the wall, pointing their guns at where she had appeared. But she was too fast for them and had disappeared again by the time they were ready to shoot. They were quite baffled by this, because they had no experience with anything like that and didn't know how to handle someone who could jump through walls. And then something hit them, sending them crashing to the floor as electricity robbed them of the ability to operate their own muscles.

Tyler poked his head through the doorway when no one came through to attack and spotted the two thugs lying on the ground. "Nice job, Cassie," he said, smiling at her, "come on, we need to move quickly." When walking past the incapacitated thugs he made sure to grab their guns, he'd seen cops do that on TV so the perp couldn't regain his senses and come after them and thought it would be a good idea to do the same. He stayed in front of the others while they headed for the front, always keeping his eyes peeled and his gun ready, and didn't stop until he reached the door to the main room. Someone was inside, shooting a gun and swearing profusely.

He took up a position next to the door and waited for the others. Cassie was supposed to be the leader so she should be the one to give the order to attack, in his opinion.

I followed Tyler and Cassie into the back of the pub, stayed myself when Caitlin took out two of the thugs that had been sent to investigate our rather dramatic entrance, and joined Tyler when the four of us regrouped just outside the main room of the pub. The two thugs that Cassie had dispatched seemed to be no danger to anyone, but I spared a few moments to lock them in a bathroom a few feet to the side. It wouldn't be pleasant for anyone if they attacked us from behind, and though I'd have preferred to deal with them a little more permanently (perhaps by breaking an ankle, wrist, and a few ribs), I wasn't sure if the school teachers, or other students, would look favorably on such an action.

I crouched down and waited for Cassie's word. Personally, I was itching to get in their and take down a few more of the simulations. By my count there were four left in their with John Doe (three having been dispatched earlier by myself, and another two just now). I wasn't sure how the frontal attack was going, however, so hopefully there'd only be two or three thugs left to deal with, before John Doe himself.

Cassie leaned against the wall next to the doorway in disbelief when Tyler told her she did a nice job, and no shooting was coming his way or anything. That meant that she had hit both of them, effectively 'tasering' them. In reality, she knew that those guys would be all too dead, and she didn't like that thought. "I...I hit them?" She asked shakily, even though she already knew the answer to that. "I...I didn't think it'd work" She said, just seeming sort of in shock. Caitlin patted her on the shoulder, and smiled brightly at her to show her support for what she did. Teamwork was definitely the best when it came to things like that.

Cassie had followed Tyler to the next place to attack, and Caitlin had stayed behind with Tara to move the bodies. Though, as soon as she had the thought to move the bodies, she realized Tara probably could drag the both of them at the same freaking time, so she nodded her head to her and headed to where the others were, ready to attack on Cassie's signal.

Cassie took a couple of deep breaths to calm her nerves before the next attack, and whole Tara had hidden the 'bodies'. Once they were all together again, she looked to the others and smiled nervously. "I will let you guys go in first, so you can feel like you did something" She whispered, more referring that to Tyler and Caitlin, even though Caitlin helped by distracting them, then herself and Tara, since they had both done something useful. "Ready?" She asked, and assuming they all nodded, she said "Go", and waited for them to go through to the next room first.

I was the first of the four of us the move. Seeing as it would matter the least if I was shot (indeed, I was hoping to draw their fire and concentration away from the other three, which would make it easier for them to line up shots). I charged through the doors, and without slowing, immediately ran directly for the first thug I saw. I wasn't sure of whether or not it was John Doe, but that didn't matter. I swung my fighting sticks at the man's joints, hoping to break his elbows and wrists, though I avoided any lethal blows (if the man was John Doe, I didn't want to kill him. Breaking his arms would disarm and incapacitate him quite thoroughly).

Mina sat in her room looking through a couple of books she checked out in the library. After the experiences she had been having lately she felt it best to be alone for a while and sort herself out. However it all felt to be for naught. "And thats why you can't trust villains Mina". The childhood apparition of herself finished up. "Your a child though....how could you possibly know better than me"? She asked. At that moment both apparitions disappeared in the blink of an eye while Mina held her head in her hands. "I can't take this anymore". She said.

A woman burst through the door behind them, and John Doe turned around just in time to see her take out one of his men. Her blows made the man's bones crunch sickeningly and he soon fell to the floor, screaming in pain. Doe and the last thug opened fire on her, but didn't have time to fire more than a couple of rounds before more people ran into the room. Before either of them could do anything about it they were falling to the floor, shot with those weird taser bullets that the attackers used. Doe tried to use his pilfered telepathy to strike back at them, but it proved impossible to focus enough through the pain to do anything.

Tyler lowered his gun, slightly surprised by how well the attack had gone. "Find something to tie him up with," he said, gesturing at Doe, "we should try to get moving as soon as possible."

Cassie cringed at the screams of pain from one of the thugs, hating those kinds of sounds, knowing they'd be haunting her mind and nightmares for days to come. And she really didn't need more things haunting her nightmares then she already had. She hated the screams, making people feel pain, and all those types of things, even if it was the enemy they were inflicting it on.

Everything had gone so according to plan after they had burst through the door that both Caitlin and Cassie seemed to almost be in shock in surprise once they finished. They had pretty much owned John Doe with almost little effort it felt like. A lot of fights for people like this would go on for a long time, if not hours before they got the target. But here? It only took maybe 5 minutes once they had got inside, if that. It amazed both of them, but also for Caitlin made her feel underwhelmed by John Doe.

When Tyler said to go get something to tie him up, Caitlin nodded to him, and left the room. Cassie stayed there, hands shaking while holding the taser guns in her hand, and watching to make sure John Doe didn't make a move. She expected him to, well, use his ability to absorb abilities against them, or something, but he didn't. It confused her. Maybe too many powers conflicted it for him? Or maybe he wasn't as powerful as he seemed to think he was. It was hard to really tell. Either way, she was glad they got him. Though, one thing still concerned her.

Caitlin came back with some rope she had found in some storage unit, and threw it to Tyler. "I'm not an expert at hogtying someone, so I hope someone else here knows how to tie a man up" She said. And as if Caitlin read Cassie's mind related to her concerns, she said, "And we might want to hurry it up as quickly as possible as well, because this 'midget' Bramwell informed us about is likely still on his way here, and who knows what he or she is capable of". Cassie gave Caitlin the "did you read my mind?" look, but said nothing and just nodded in agreement to Caitlin. "I don't really know how to tie anyone up either" She said, which made perfect sense for her. It was more likely that she'd be tied up then her tying anyone up.

Bramwell and Makoto

The two ran from their cover. They wanted to move with expediency due to the possibility of what the midget represented. They ran into the bar. The duo kept restrains on reasons of crazy preparedness along the lines of being lightweight and convenient to have in the event of needing to ensure a suspect remains subdued, much like a portable less-than-lethal weapon. They proceeded to attempt to restrain him through said restraints.

"Okay, the objective is a quarter-mile down the road. If were to carry him in an energy efficient manner, we could all walk from four-point-five miles per hour to five-point-five miles per hour. At those speeds we could be there in less than four minutes. Assuming he is not headed from that direction, that would mean we would be able to avoid dealing with him considering the current time. If he is, then I shall know in advance and we can take a surreptitious detour to avoid dealing with him," Makoto said in a manner that showed she was calming down from the firefight.

"Makoto, I do not suppose we were prepared enough to carry a folding stretcher," Bramwell said in a detatched manner. Bramwell's incapability to ignore sensory data meant that he never considered the simulation stressful because he could still clearly tell he was in a pod.

"We do have a stretcher, but I did not know that anything we had on our person would transfer into the simulation, so I did not bring one. I would prefer if I do not carry him as a precautionary measure." Makoto was referring to her telekinesis. As she had demonstrated in an instance before, she could carry people telekinetically.
