Joaquin

Joaquin stood in the middle of the barren looking classroom looking down at his watch. The room looked Spartan in it's accomodations, and there was something odd. Many students had felt feelings of dread when in his classroom or even saw ghosts. He was counting down for the exact moment three minutes and thirty one seconds would be the time left before class begins. Something looked artificial about the room, as though he was hiding something. For now, there were about ten minutes before class begins.

Mighty Asgard wrote:A few minutes after the incident Jenkins walked into Anzus' classroom, taking a moment to look around before approaching the teacher. "Mr. Anzus," he began, "headmaster Anderson wants to speak with you. It seemed urgent."

Having delivered his first message he then approached Grace, who he spotted at the other end of the room. "Miss Oliviz, I have good news," he said, a hint of a smile finding its way across his face, "I've spoken with the headmaster, and from tomorrow you will have full access to the hangar bays, and if you want you can help the tech department with their search. The headmaster has also granted you a more long-term privilege to access the hangars, so as long as you follow the rules you can go to your shuttle whenever you want."

Axel's face was resting on the table. "Why. Does. This. Keep. Happening. To. Me." he said, and with each word, he would raise his head about an inch above the table and have it fall back onto it. He stood up and walked out of the room, silently cursing to himself in the myriad of languages he spoke. He reached Anderson's room, sat down and said "Look, I know what this looks like. And yes, I will admit to being the person that started this. You see, he was unimpressed with the demonstration that I gave him, which he willingly volunteered for, and claimed he could replicate the entire thing with a gun and some infrared cameras. I decided, without really thinking otherwise, because I never knew something like this would happen, I tried to scare him by showing him the real power behind the demonstration. Something happened, and I have no idea what did, and now here we are." his feet were slowly tapping on the carpet in Anderson's room, and he sat somewhat hunched over, as if he was trying to shield himself from what he knew was going to happen.

Rachael shrugged. "I dunno. Dead, hopefully. No-one really liked him apart from his incest buddy, so no real loss there." She then strode off to the next lesson. Science. Thankfully, it didn't involve powers, and she knew quite a bit of science anyway. She arrived early, glared at Chram, then took a seat on the opposite side of the room.

Daniel literally ran fast as light to the Infirmary, you could swear he pulled out some new power from the experience. Arriving there, he heard someone shouting " Clear! " and panicked. This was bad, and he was ready to barge in and give all the assistance he could.

Sarah simply sat down quietly during class, listening to the arguments. She did not have a real opinion on magic so she did not comment on Ansuz' first question, and she wasn't exactly eager to see the demonstrations either. Sure, it could be interesting, but she didn't feel the necessity to witness magic firsthand, she knew about all the strange powers that popped up in the world, so she had no reason to not believe that something such as magic could be real. Thus, she didn't volunteer for the demonstration.

After the demonstration was over and the event with Bramwell had happened, Sarah stood up and prepared to leave the classroom. She had nearly jumped due to the sudden impression that the pouncing lion gave her, but she managed to stay in her seat, at least. Before leaving, she formed the blood that had come out of Bramwell's nose into a small ball and played around with it while heading towards Joaquin's classroom.

Raymond, meanwhile, had been mostly ignoring the class. Like that Charlotte girl that had been picked for the magic demonstration, he wasn't exactly interested in learning magic tricks or anything like that. He didn't have a feeling of something oppressing him or a desire to awaken like the teacher had said, either, so he didn't really have much of a reason to focus. He had no strong opinion on magic either. A while ago it had been 'Magic doesn't exist', but now, it had changed, it was pretty much 'If Vampires and powers exist, why not Magic?'.

When the illusion of a pouncing lion struck him, given he wasn't focused, he immediately tried to counter it's force, and it was thanks to this that he realized it wasn't real. Seeing the conmotion that had been caused, he decided to quickly sneak out of the classroom and head towards the next one.

Mina jumped as the bobby pin flew back. "W-what the hell", She said to herself. At that moment she looked at the time. Classes were probably changing by now, she thought. Quickly she rushed away from the scene in which she still had no explanation for. Then though she heard something.
"Mina....you can destroy the school.....all you need to do is disable its shielding and you can remotely enter the systems with your powers from there...". Mina looked behind her and saw.....her? It was her it seemed, but this version looked.....demonic.....almost frightening to herself.
Then she heard another voice. Just go to class Mina and enjoy the time you have..... Mina looked over again to see another version of herself....her childhood self? "Perhaps these are side effects from the pills...". She said aloud.

"If you destroy this school you can return to earth and prepare for world domination....unrivaled world domination." One Mina said.
"Look at what you've already done...do you really need more blood on your hands"? The Childish version of Mina said. Mina was completely oblivious to what she meant. Perhaps a deleted or supressed memory? It didn't matter as the two figures disappeared. "Ok.....maybe I'm going crazy....". Mina said. With that she headed to her last class to retrieve her bag, and head to her latest class.

Bramwell, Makoto, Joaquin, and Brayden

"Clear!" Dotor Moreau was saying with a thick Cajun accent. Bramwell recieved a nice shock. There was no change in his vital signs.

"It isn't working!" One of the more cynical doctors was saying.

"Keep trying; Clear!" Another shock was sent through Bramwell's body. There was still no change in his vital signs.

"We can legally declare him dead by this point."

"We are not giving up Doctor Santos; Clear!" Doctor Santos wrote him off as legally dead seconds ago. He was nearing the five minute mark, and had only thirty more seconds before he would start suffering brain damage due to a lack of oxygen.

"Get me an epinephrine autoinjecter." Bramwell now recieved a shot of adrenaline to the heart. What happened next was shocking. Daniel busted in, and delivered a shock to him. The fact Doctor Moreau just pulled out the autoinjecter and everybody was wearing rubber gloves meant Daniel was lucky nobody else was shocked. Before the EKG would even alert them to his heart starting again, "Kickstart My Heart" was playing in everybody's minds that was within a 20 foot sphere of his mind since that was what Bramwell was thinking about and was now accidentally broadcasting. The EKG monitor pronounced him alive.

"Thank God for rock and roll! Motley Crue pronounces you alive!" Doctor Moreau was cheering. He knew he was sounding utterly ridiculous, and didn't honestly care. Everybody in the room was cheering. By this point, Bramwell was getting his senses back as Doctor Santos promptly corrected his error of declaring him dead.

"Makoto, basic reasoning deduces my heart has started beating again."

"God damn, you are lucky to be alive!"

"We are lucky to be alive."

"Good point. I wish I could hug you right now."

"As do I. At the very least, with something other than impending death and references to focus on, I would like to at least participate in class."

"I'll go there now. Send a message to Doctor Segura so he will know you will be watching and listening to it through my eyes and ears."

"Done. Get to class." Makoto wiped her tears away, and started running to class. She was elated that Bramwell was alive. Her eyes were red from the number of tears she shed. As she entered, she saw that the room looked Spartan in it's accomodations, but something was odd.

"I heard the message from Bramwell. My sympathy goes to him so he can have a speedy recovery. Seven minutes before class starts." Makato was oddly uneasy. She felt dreadful, and yet her relation was just declared alive. It was odd to say the least. She did not see any ghosts as everybody was saying they could see, but she understood the feelings of dread and other negative emotions people felt in the classroom. It was conflicting to the duo to say the least.

It took a bit of getting around, but Mina finally reached her stuff. She looked inside to make sure that everything was still there. "Yep...were good". She said. In the next split second she ran to her next class. As she darted through the hallways with some parts crowded with students, Mina noticed herself again. She stopped abruptly, accidently bumping in to a fellow student. "Watch where your going". Mina said as the fellow student gave her a glare and walked away. However when Mina looked back she saw nothing, but the remaining students. She shook her head again then darted in through the classroom door and took a seat.

Charlotte just kind of gazed around in silence during looking in to the Astral Plane. When they were done and Axel asked them what it was like, she said,"Dull, and boring," In a obviously bored tone. She just listened to the other stuff, and smirked slightly when Axel nearly killed Bramwell. After all that, she just headed to the next class. She had a feeling that this one would be equally boring, and she didn't like the feeling of dread she got when she entered the room. She plopped down on a chair with a sigh, though she was slightly twitchy now.

Jay just listened throughout the class, not really completely sure what was going on. Something Axel said he was pretty sure was quoting, like, Gandolf or something. He was alarmed when Bramwell seemed to have some problems from whatever Axel did, but there wasn't really anything he could do but hope that he would be alright. Once the class was over, he headed out, hoping that he wouldn't sense Bramwell's ghost or something. He headed in to the next class, and got a feeling of dread, though he had nothing thinking that there were ghosts there or something. One, because he couldn't see, and two, because he knew ghosts.
Times are looking grim these days~

Makoto

"좋은 아침 (joh-eun achim) Mina. How has your day been going?" The seat Mina sat at happened to be right next to Makoto of all people. Makoto was not even capable of holding a grudge against anyone right now. Bramwell was alive at the very least. Somehow, Makoto was not exactly letting the feeling of dread pervading the room seem let her down. She was just happy that Bramwell was alive, and she was not letting a feeling of dread get in the way.

Mina looked over to see Makato. "It's been...interesting to say the least". She said. "And how about you"? She asked in return and grinned slightly. Mina questioned her own politeness. It wasn't usually her style, but it was probably a fluke. "Mina you can be a better person. It doesn't require alot of effort". The voice was getting a little annoying now.
"Mina think of the power you can gain. Grab the scanner from your bag and scan Chram when you have the chance".
At this point Mina tried not to think about it when all of a sudden it stopped.

Josh, Goltia and Grace made their way from the class. As they walked, all three talked about the previous class's drama, about what they thought the next class would be like, and their home.
"Well?" Grace asked, as Josh looked at his PDA.
"Apparently, the Avaloni have been driven back to their homeworld. The fleet just has to crack the FTL inhibitors," he replied, putting the device in his pocket.
"And the Colonies? What about them?" Goltia asked.
"Ventra City is gone. Got nuked. Terrva City was a battlefield, and is now in ruins. Most of the major cities got bombed to some degree. The Avaloni nearly killed a billion people," Josh said, his face fill of sorrow. Grace gasped, and Goltia visibly retched, having to half lean, half fell against the corridor wall.
"You okay?" Grace asked, rubbing Goltia's back. She nodded, after spitting and wiping her mouth.
"I have the Fleet gives them what's coming," she replied, before shaking her head. Looking at Grace and Josh, she smiled. "No point dwelling on it. Next class is in a few. Lets go." Josh nodded, as did Grace, and they all walked to the next class.

Abigale was in her classroom, preparing for her lesson, listening to a news broadcast from the Colonies on the projector she had been provided. The current shot was of a dusty wasteland, littered with rubble and burnt out shells of cars.
"... Estimated deaths following the Avaloni's nuclear attack on Ventra city number at over one hundred million, nearly 10% of the Colonies' population. This, combined with the deaths on the other Colonies during the Avaloni's attempted invasion, has resulted in a death toll of over one billion of our nation's people. Indeed, the Battle of Tarnia will go down as the bloodiest battle in our history." As the broadcast cut to another image of devastation, this time a shot of a planet from orbit, with half a continent burning, Abigale hit the mute button and and ran for the nearest rubbish bin. Once she had finished emptying her stomach, she wiped her mouth, then spat into the bin and drank from a bottle on her desk.
"God's above. I knew it would be bad, but one billion..." she muttered, then retched again. Managing to hold it down, she shook her head, grabbed a marker, and started writing on the board at the front of the class.

Daniel felt good. Until now, in the station and in 5 years of the COM.SUB.IN. , he completely forgot what meant saving a life using his own powers. The sensation to have done something good, to have done the right thing...to have avoided suffering. That was the real Hero oath: being able to feel happy that no one is suffering, thanks to you.

He didn't ask any thanks or nothing, but he was surprised to hear a rock and roll song he didn't knew, or was probably forgot in the dark spaces of his mind. He quickly asked the Doctor: " sorry for the stupid barging, I was a little...out of control. Yes, it happens. What about the kid, did you take any exam to know what is wrong or was already a critical case? "

Makoto, Bramwell, and Brayden

"Things are alright. I got to see a nice demonstration of 'magic', Bramwell went in cardiac arrest during an illusion Ansuz did to Bramwell for something I said, and breakfast was nice. I'd say things are going well," Makoto said with a sort of sarcasm.

---

"We were more focused on trying to restart his circulation, though I must say thank you for not shocking when I was pumping epinephrine into his heart, or that could have ended poorly. Currently, we just know that he did not have a prior history of heart complications and that it happened either during or in response to a magical demonstration by Anzus that everybody on the station got to see thanks to Bramwell's broadcast, and he had insufficient physical trauma from falling to the ground from a few feet in the air for it to have been the cause of his cardiac arrest. Now that he is breathing again, we are doing some screenings for factors of heart complications. So far, we know he doesn't have high blood pressure and doesn't have any traces of tobacco or alchohol in his system, though we still haven't finished running our screenings. We also know there is no family history of heart attacks. At the present time, we don't know what could have caused it."

Daniel looked quite interested. " Yeah, this is not my first time using my power as a defibrillator, I got some crash courses from other medics. However, I believe at this point we should call the professor to explain us what went wrong and the possible repercussions on the patient. Magic is not my forte, especially about consequences. "

He then took the local phone inside the infirmary in order to call principal Anderson, to ask him to contact Anzus.

Caitlin continued to listen to the class as usual, and watching everything that went on. A little while later she noticed that the teacher seemed to be a little angry for a student...well, asking questions. It seems a little extreme to her, but whatever. Maybe it was what the student compared it to, but still. To her, part of the interest in things like that was to discuss what it reminded you of, and such. But she didn't think much of it.

Suddenly, everything seemed to quickly go down hill. The teacher gave the one student some sort of weird illusion, and then they seemed to go into cardiac arrest or something. It was rather freaky, really. And then, she got a flash of that weird illusion in her mind, which was almost even stranger. She was going to spring into action to do something, but everything seemed to be taken care of quickly enough that she didn't feel like she really needed to spring into action. She hoped that the student would be okay, since whatever happened was definitely scary.

As they were ordered to leave the class after everything happened, she did so. The day had become kind of grim, but she tried to keep her spirits high, despite what had happened Which was easier said then done. She ignored the rest of the students chit chatter all the way to the next class, just wanting to get to that class instead.

Once in there, she had this weird feeling of dread when she entered the class. Which was a little unnerving, especially after everything that had just taken place. She swore she saw some ghosts too, but shook it off and just sat down at one of the tables with a frown, waiting for the class to begin.

(Cassie)
Cassie went through the FMRI scan and the PET scan, concerned what might be found. Once everything was done, she let out a sigh of relief. Of course, the results were yet to be revealed, so she still had that worry. But the Doctor said that the results will have to wait, which was normal, but the reasoning for them having to wait wasn't a good thing. Apparently some student had a problem in class. Hopefully not by one of the other asshole students hurting him. When she realized who it was, she let out a gasp. "Will he be alright?" She asked someone at random. If practically her only 'friend', or acquaintance here were to die already, she would be devastated and just think that she was bad luck, and that she would never make any friends again because something would always separate her from them. Not that she would entirely consider anyone here yet friends, but he would probably be the closest.

After she found out he seemed to be going to be okay, she let out a sigh of relief and headed to class with her spirits a little higher. Like the others, she stepped into the class and suddenly felt a feeling of dread. So much for her mood being higher. Now she felt worse if anything. She wasn't really in the mood for this feeling crappy stuff right now, because she felt like shit most of the time anyway, emotionally. And now the headaches, and this class. She just let out a sigh and plopped down onto one of the chairs in the classroom, and waited for the class to begin.

Sarah entered Joaquin's classroom, still toying around with the small ball of Bramwell's blood, not really caring about what others might think of it. Some people might have an aversion to blood or something similar, but given that her power was control over it, Sarah didn't have any such aversion. It flowed through everyone, didn't it? It gave life. Besides, as opposed to when it was on the floor after Bramwell was taken away to the infirmary, now it at least served a purpose.

She sat down on one of the classroom's seats, wondering what the strange feeling of danger she felt was but not paying it much attention, and formed the ball into smaller blood marbles, before she noticed that another girl, Cassie, had just entered the classroom and sat down next to her with a sigh. Sarah looked over at her. "Are you alright?" She asked.

Feeling rather annoyed, Raymond walked through the hallways and soon enough reached Joaquin's classroom. As soon as he entered, he had a strange feeling of dread and inexorable danger invade him. His eyes darted around, unable to find anything that could cause him a feeling of danger, though he kept seeing strange shapes through the corner of his eyes.

Giving up on looking for a cause for the strange sensation, Raymond simply walked over to a seat and sat down there, leaning back. "God this feeling is annoying." He said to himself.

Bramwell, Makoto, and Joaquin

"Okay; 3, 2, 1, let's jam." Joaquin said. Suddenly, a big band jazz number that Bramwell and Makoto recognized started playing. Suddenly, it was revealed the walls were covered with a convincing material that looked like it was part of the wall. When the covers came off, it was made clear Joaquin was a geek. There were numerous posters on various scientific and historical concepts or maps, but plenty were more advanced ones, such as one on how a Large Hadron Collider works and why it is even exists so in the first place. There were also numerous quotes on the wall about such subjects as education, reason, science, the past, politics, psychology, etc.

There were also numerous posters for geek subject material. Some of it was immediately recognizable, such as various posters of Drews Struzan's, The Watchmen comic, Blade Runner, and various others. Some posters were more less iconic, but still recognizable to the right audience, such as Wolf's Rain, Mystery Science Theater 3000, the anniversary crossovers of Channel Awesome, Full Metal Alchemist, the Metal Gear saga, and various others. Some were outright obscure, such as posters for various B-movies, such as Santa Clause Conquers the Martians, Plan 9 from Outer Space, and Ninja Terminator. His desk had varous paraphenelia that was geek culture related, but also included some personal artifacts. It seemed he even put a map of the galaxy and our solar system on the ceiling. Overall, it showed he was a geek since he went to great effort to make a room that would appeal to geeks. Even so, he went with a room with a view of the Earth and would catch the sunrise of the Earth the many times a day it happens on the station, though he was sure to have blinds so distractions wouldn't happen when a dark space was not needed due to projections or just ensure people aren't blinded by it.

To say that Makoto and Bramwell were euphoric about just how much geek subject material was covering the room was an understatement. Joaquin had managed to outright stump them on various references. Even though Bramwell was still in the infirmary having tests run to see what caused him to enter cardiac arrest while getting bed rest under the watchful eye of the medical staff in case he goes into cardiac arrest, his telepathic link with Makoto meant he could still see everything that was happening down there. He was quite honestly enjoying what was going on there. When Makoto looked at the board, there was a quote of the week. "Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself," by John Dewey. There was also a note saying "The class shall begin once the song ends."

Charlotte looked around the class room. Clearly this teacher was some sort of nerd. She just let out a sigh. When could she learn something about her powers? She really couldn't care less about normal school. She wasn't sure which class this was, though.

Jay didn't even notice that this guy was a geek, because he couldn't exactly see the posters or anything like that. He didn't even know what the board said. He covered his ears at the music, but it wasn't because he thought it was bad. It wasn't his type of music, but it was more because he preferred quiet, mellow, music.

Cassie was startled by the sudden words directed her way, and she pretty much jumped in her chair. "Ah, sorry..." She muttered for over reacting like that. She shook her head and let out another sigh. "I suppose. It's a long story that's best left for another time not in a class" She said quietly over to Sarah, before plopping her head back down. For whatever reason she spoke to her freely without being shy, but that was just likely due to her current mood.

Her head snapped up and she made some strange-looking face at the song that started to play. When the covers were pulled away, she seemed to let out a sigh of relief, as if somehow a big weight was lifted off of her chest. She actually seemed to approve of the geekiness of the room, and let out a little chuckle of approval. She saw the notes too, and just raised an eyebrow. Though, she did give the teacher a quick thumbs up in approval of the room with a smile, but quickly went back to just looking, well...normal.

(Caitlin)
Caitlin looked over at Cassie with a raised eyebrow when she acted like something had scared the living daylight out of her. She just shrugged it off and focused back on the class, right as the music started. Which, she thought was a little strange. She shrugged it off too, because she sort of lost track of the music as she started to pay attention to the walls instead. She seemed to visibly approve of the geeky room too based on the look on her face. For a while, she just scanned the walls in hopes of finding some Batman poster, since he was pretty much her personal inspiration and "Hero", though she preferred not to refer to him as that.

Mina reached into her bag and pulled out a book. An Artemis Fowl book; it was always her favorite series, and this class surely wouldn't entertain her even more. As she began reading music began playing and posters became visible. "Uhhhh....ok". Mina said. She didn't really care, but she was going to mind her own business for now.

Joaquin

There were, in fact, multiple Batman posters or the front pages of various comics throughout the room focusing on various things. One was Tim Burton's Batman; one was The Dark Knight; one was Gotham Central Vol. 1; one was The Killing Joke; one was The Animated Series; one was Arkham City; and one was The Dark Knight Returns. Joaquin had enough posters to ensure even the most ardent fans of a various thing were not likely to notice. Amid all of this, there was one poster featuring two of Joaquin's top three favorite superheroes (the other being Batman) that was placed so one would see it anytime one first entered class. Somehow, not a single poster, framed quote, or framed comic front page overlapped. It created the visual effect of everything having fallen into place in some odd artistic piece inspired by Tetris. Within 30 seconds, the song would soon end, and the class would begin. It would be perfectly timed with the official beginning of the period. This brought up some questions, such as if he did this every time a class first entered? Was he a perfectionist? Did he have too much time? Did he have O.C.D.? Did ghosts do it for him? Overall, it seemed Joaquin was not going to say anytime soon.

Pedro ran into the class just in time - he had apparently fainted after the power control lesson, although he was sure he'd been attacked by red dragon disciples: an experience which the voice of reason had confirmed, although that didn't mean that it had happened.

He had no idea what lesson he had just ran into, but he assumed that the lesson's beginning was when the music stopped - by VOR's calculation, it was 7.2 seconds after he had entered the room.

Ah, but what counts as entering the room?
When the entirety of your body has passed through the cuboid described by the vertices of the doorframe.
I shouldn't have asked.
Indeed not.

Bramwell, Makoto, and Joaquin

"Welcome to World History/Geography and General Sciences. My name is Doctor Segura should you not have heard. Since I know how complicated the schedule can be, this shall be an introduction to both. As you may have seen or heard, I am a geek. It would be unfortunate if one were to mistake that as weakness, for I will be Sergeant First Class Segura should you force my hand. World History and Geography shall be split between discussion, lectures, various media, and projects that are mean to be done in class. General science shall involve discussions, experiments, lectures, various media, psychological testing of various types, and projects meant to be done in class. If I can organize them, there may be guest speakers and/or field trips."

"General sciences will include anything and everything under the sun in terms of sciences. We could be talking about string theory one week, evolutionary science the next week, and Jungian psychology the other week. Mind you, this is somewhat a simplification, as I do intend to keep some amount of coherence."

"World History and Geography shall be more interconnected. There will be a clear continuity and flow of time to it. It will be intertwined with current events when applicable and there will be contrast of it and those cultures in the modern day, or at least the cultures that happen to occupy the same area where it previously existed."

"Since I feel like testing everybody with a rapid fire barrage of history and geography questions, name two signs of civilization and the name of the order octopi inhabit, Makoto?"

"What is food surplus and labor specilization; What is octopoda?"

"Correct, though this is not Jeopardy! Bramwell, is there any continuity between the Indus River Valley civilization and modern India? How did the Apollo 1 mission end?"

"No, the Indians we know of settled there after the collapse of said civilization by as of yet unkown causes after arriving from the Caucasus mountians. The three most likely reasons for their dissappearance are said immigrants from the Caucasus Mountains waging war, environmental devestation, and earthquakes changing the waterways radically."

"Command Pilot Gus Grissom, Senior Pilot Ed White, and Pilot Roger Chaffee died in a fire. A silver-plated copper wire running through an environmental control unit near the center couch had become stripped of its Teflon insulation and abraded by repeated opening and closing of a small access door. This weak point in the wiring also ran near a junction in an ethylene glycol/water cooling line which had been prone to leaks. The electrolysis of ethylene glycol solution with the silver anode was a notable hazard which could cause a violent exothermic reaction, igniting the ethylene glycol mixture in the CM's corrosive test atmosphere of pure, high-pressure oxygen." Bramwell said in a telepathic message. Bramwell was something of a fan of space exploration.

"There is no connection. A fire killed the pilots of the Apollo 1 as you went into detail about. You are correct on both statements. Mina, name the place Italian American cooking has its origins and which of the two primary anthropomorphic archetypes of the unconscious mind you would have."
