Okay, people still have some time to post.

I have about eight hours of homework to do. On a Sunday. The post can wait. Just do whatever until I post, mmkay, and then I'll move the plot forward.

I just realized dalek is an anagram of kale!!!! Sorry don't pay attention to doctor who so I don't know if that was intentional. Anyways I have a lot of homework so i can't read the IC can someone tell me what happened since page 4. Use this format

Brief summary (one paragraph)

Johann is....

Jon is....

Comander Jenkins.....

(etc until you get all of the characters done, also after the ellipses write what they have done)

also for an idea the OP might want to put this summery for every page of the IC and put it on the opening post so that people can tell what is going on.

Alright, I'm a bit confused about the Silents.

The Silents are a species; the Silence is a religious order. But there are Silents in the Silence.

Is Greene a rogue Silent, or are the majority of them good and the ones with the Silence rogues? Is Greene able to remove himself from memory? Are the Silents as a species generally good, but extremely dedicated to making sure the question is never asked? What about the ones that controlled humanity?

Also, if Greene entered a retirement home, wouldn't he end up being killed?

That's also another good question.

And how advanced are the Silents? As the Time Lords (no)? Daleks (highly doubtful)? Sontarans (maybe)? Cybermen? I'm just a bit confused here. And how did Greene survive being in captivity during Nixon's time? Did they all miss the moon landing? Are there two subspecies of Silents?

Well, any of AETEN's answers will definitely conflict with canon, so I say we don't go there.

Well, any of AETEN's answers will definitely conflict with canon, so I say we don't go there.

There are some things we can establish.

They're old enough to possess time travel of some sort, which is about 50th century humanity. They're older than humanity, but there don't appear to be an entire species of them.

I'd say that we could easily say they're more advanced than Sycorax or Cybermen, so possibly Sontaran level?

I'd prefer to toe the line on canon. We shouldn't be conflicting it or hurling out the window, but we can screw some things up or add some things or ignore some things.

Most importantly of all, of course, is... Why would you poke the annoyed Kaled? No, really. I need to know what kind of dysfunction prompts someone to try and make the already homicidal bastard a mass murderer.

Technically, the L-C is like an angry dog chained to a fence. He can't attack anyone or UNIT will get rid of it, and UNIT is stopping him from killing people. The fence is the UNIT headquarters. So, it's perfectly fine to poke the angry Kaled.

Um, until the squad leaves on the first mission. Then the angry Kaled isn't chained to the fence anymore.

He cares very little about any fence, and is perfectly capable of breaking the chain at any moment.

He cares very little about any fence, and is perfectly capable of breaking the chain at any moment.

And Greene doesn't know that. Greene thinks the chain is strong, and thus pokes the angry Kaled with a stick. On the other hand, the reality is that the chain is rusty and the angry Kaled can break it easily. Either the angry Kaled will snap the chain, or he'll be unchained from the fence. Either option is likely to be bad for Greene.

And I like what I did with that analogy. I'm literally picturing the L-C chained to a fence and Greene poking him with a stick.

But yes, I sincerely question why Greene is poking the angry Kaled.

Meh. Greene's effectively got TAZER hands and will have a mental eye in the LC's mind during the mission.
He's dealt with American CIA. Those fuckers make the meme

"Quod Vult, Valde Valt"

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

Uh, no. Absolutely not. If Greene doesn't want to be shot in his bitch face immediately after U.N.I.T. turns around, he'll leave the LC be from this moment on.

One character with the power to whip all of the others into submission by mentally bitch-slapping must show restraint, or one character with the power to not give a damn will shoot him in the face.

Equal and opposite reaction.

It would be enjoyable to watch Greene attempt to mentally bitch slap Silva

It would end with a .45 ACP round.

And so Nat established the Natonian Third Law of RP:

"Each character that reacts will create an equal and opposite reaction that will end up killing him somehow."

I think people won't like your character screwing around in their character's minds, AETEN. But don't worry. You can dig around in Kira, Andrew, Zhu De, Ramon, John (to an extent), Gur, and Jon. Just avoid Benjamin Silva, the L-C, and Johann, and your character will remain relatively intact.

Also, I predict that the squad will self-combust by the end of the first mission.
