Warrior Cats (IC)

It was sunrise on a beautiful Newleaf day. Prey was plentiful, and the clan had plenty of apprentices. It was the day before the full moon, meaning that the gathering would be held that night.

Icefire sat up and stretched. She carefully padded around the other sleeping warriors, then headed out of the Warrior's den. She noticed a few of the other warriors stirring, and Blackfoot was already up, getting ready for the Dawn patrol. Icefire padded over to him and bowed her head,"Need any more cats for the dawn patrol? Icepaw could use the practice," She meowed.

Blackfoot nodded,"I think that would be good. We can get one more warrior, then we can go," He then padded over to Shadowclaw and prodded him with his paw,"You up for a dawn patrol?" He asked.

Lightheart squirmed in her mossy nest. Her dreams were confused and alarming. She couldn't tell what was going on, but it wasn't good. Shortly later she jolted awake, pretty much instantly forgetting the dream. She sat up and stretched her front paws out in front of her, then shook moss from her pelt before giving herself a good wash.

Icepaw heard that he was needed for a patrol he headed out after Icefire.OOC:gotta go i'll fix it later.

Shadowclaw opened one eye looking up and the old warrior yawned a mew "Sure, just give me a second", Shadowclaw then got up stretching before getting back into his lean shape. Looking out over the sky it was a peaceful dawn something he loved most about Newleaf. He turned his head and waited for the other warriors in the patrol to come out and get ready to go.

Once Icepaw and ShadowClaw were ready to go, the dawn patrol headed out of the camp. "We will check the Shadowclan border and freshen the scent marks. Maybe we'll even have time to hunt while we're out," Blackfoot meowed, leading the patrol. Once they reached the Shadowclan border, Icefire meowed to Icepaw. "Remember to be careful around the Thunderpath." One of her siblings had died by a twoleg monster, so she was always overly careful around the Thunderpath.
Blackfoot went along the border, rubbing against trees and rocks as he did.

Midnightpaw woke up and streched and mewed a few times and walked out. She then sat and watched the Newleaf day. She loved sunrises and when she heard others she quickly went back inside and sat on her nest and gave herself a good clean and layed down watching the others.

Lightningpaw was padding around the camp. He came across the Dawn patrol and mewed" Here are the supplies you guys needed to go out on the patrol with." Then he dropped the wrap-full of herbs and cob-webs infront of the warriors. He then scrambled a little while away. He watched all of the Warriors apprentices. He wanted to be able to have a mate like a warrior but that was not aloud in the med cat codebook.

Streampelt swam across the river expertly, on of the many benefits of being raised in Riverclan. He made sure to hold the small orange bundle in his mouth above the water. He slowly came onto the opposite side of the river, near Sunning Rocks. Streampelt stealthily maneuvered his way among the rocks till he reached the Thunderclan border. He carefully placed the young bundle on their side and nestled in the leaves and twigs so he would be disguised from any predators. Streampelt licked his kit's head and then walked back to the river and swam to the other side not looking back...

Icepaw caught up to Icefire with a hare in his mouth.He said "I know we are on a patrol but i saw it and took it".He buried it in a shallow hole.And walked up to Icefire and said "How long till I become a warrior would you say"?

Lightningpaw mewed exitedly " Sure i would love too!." His tail swishing back and forth in eagerness. He padded around in circles waiting for his mentor to get ready. He mewed to her while he was pacing. " I really wish rules werent here. Like the medicine cat not having a mate. Dont you ever get lonely Lightheart?"He said very seriously. He could be playfull but when it came to being serious he was.

Redkit woke up from his slepp and realised it was not afternoon when he usually wokeup and tokk a moss ball out side and flung it at lightningpaw and said "lightningpaw catch"

Lightheart let out a purr at watching her apprentice. He was definitely eager to learn. She tilted her head at his question. "No, because I have the whole clan to love," She replied, then started padding out of camp to look for herbs. "I am sure that you will understand the rules as you learn."

Midnightpelt headed out of camp alone to do some hunting. He decided to check near sunningrocks to see if any animals had decided to sun there. When he got there, he smelled a Riverclan scent. He decided it was probably just from the border, though he wouldn't put it past them to try to take back sunningrocks, AGAIN. It was then that he spotted a little patch of orange bundled in some leaves. He padded over to it and noticed it was a kit. What was a kit doing out here all alone? he bent his head down to sniff it. His tail twitched when he smelled the distinct Riverclan scent. Why would Riverclan leave one of their kits out here? Whatever the reason, this kit needed a home. He picked up the kit and took it in to the sun on Sunningrocks before licking it, trying to get the Riverclan scent off. He hoped that Puffstar would be as accepting with this kit as he had been with Midnightpelt when he had first come to the clan. He remembered how he had just been an apprentice age, lost in the forest with no memory and no clan. He hadn't even know about the clans. Everyone called him a rogue, but he had won their trust over time. He hoped that this kit could do the same.

After licking the kit for a while, trying to make sure all the scent was gone, he picked it up by it's scruff and padded back to camp.

Icefire glanced back at Icepaw,"Good catch," She meowed. She knew that for Thunderclan cats, chasing rabbits could be hard, unlike for the Windclan cats, who were faster then the rest of the clans and had more open space. "I don't know, that is for Blackfoot and Puffstar to decide," She meowed.

Blackfoot watched them, then meowed,"Icepaw, I forgot to mention, Puffstar said that you could come to the gathering tonight."

Lightheart touched Lightningpaw's shoulder with her tail,"Keep an eye out for herbs, and stop thinking about she-cats. You can not have a mate, so I believe it is best that you just do not think about it," She meowed, the paused in front of a bush with spiky dark green leaves and purple berries. "Here!" She meowed, taking some of the berries of the bush and wrapping them in a leaf so they were easier to carry. "Now, Lightningpaw, what are Juniper Berries for?" She asked, testing him.

Blackfoot let out an amused purr,"Yes, really. We haven't picked all the cats for the Gathering yet, but I think Midnightpelt, Lightheart, Lightningpaw will be going. I'll pick the others later, with Puffstar's help," He meowed,"Probably."

Icefire looked at Icepaw, then moewed,"If you want to be a warrior, you need to act like a warrior and show a little more respect for the other clans," She meowed sternly.

Blackpaw was determined with ambition to become the Clan Leader some day. As a kit, he had been somewhat of a scrawny cat, smaller than all of the others, but his growth was promising. He was now the same size as any other apprentice. He bounced up and down as he trotted through the forest. No, he had not told anyone that he was leaving the camp, but when he came back with vole for the Elders and Medicine Cat, he doubted anyone would care much to notice.

Blackpaw decided to head towards Sunningrocks. He did not yet know the best places to find certain prey, but he was sure that he had overheard Icefire say something about voles and Sunningrocks to Blackfoot one day. He was nearly certain that he would find vole there. Unable to contain his excitement at the thought of bringing back fresh-kill, he began dashing through the woods towards Sunningrocks, ignoring the scent of mice as they scuttled across the forest floor. Charging faster and faster, he took little notice of the figure in front of him.

Wham! Blackpaw had barreled right into Midnightpelt, his mentor. Both cats went sprawling to the floor, with an orange object flying out of Midnightpelt's mouth. Blackpaw thought quickly, regaining his footing. Had Midnightpelt seen him? Perhaps he could still make a quick escape before Midnightpelt regained his orientation. Blackpaw decided against it, as he hesitated before slowly walking towards Midnightpelt. Upon reaching him, he stole a quick glance towards the orange object which was now lying on the ground a few feet away. Blackpaw dared not speak.

Midnightpelt let out a yowl of surprise when his apprentice barreled into him. He sat up and shook his head, then immediately bounded over to the little orange kit to make sure it was OK. He began to lick it, and once he was sure it was fine, he turned to Blackpaw,"What are you doing out here? You're not going to catch anything running around out here without paying attention," He meowed.

Icefire frowned,"I'm pretty sure you won't catch the warriors calling Windclan stupid," She meowed,"The other apprentices, maybe."

Flamekit had woken drearily to seeing the floor below fly beneath his feet. Flamekit was silent for a moment as he tried to gain his bearings. A blackcat with bright blue eyes was carrying him, holding him between his teeth tenderly. The new scents of this forests were overwhelming his sense of smell. Next thing he knew he was flying through the air and landed on the nice soft grass, cushioning his fall. He shook himself once and looked around. He saw two cats now, the one who had carried him and the another. Flamekit decided that if he wanted answers, who better to ask than the cat who'd carried him? Flame kit padded over silently and sat looking at Midnightpelt. "Who are you?" he asked, innocently.
