I think the fact some random teenager in the middle of nowhere with no experience in intelligence gathering can just find an extremely-well hidden and defended base in the center of the mostly unexplored Appalachian mountains..... very bullshittish.

@Uni: Agreed. And I don't think that Maeve's supposed to have such control over her powers, if she's supposed to have them at all.
@Rup: Nope.

Uni, forgive my ignorance, but how exactly is my character going to recieve his powers? He's just going to go home, go to sleep, wake up and notice he's been "blessed'?

It can happen anytime you want, completely at random. Work off of what you think would affect your characters powers. Maybe a certain environment, or thinking about something...

So, considering that Maeve shouldn't be finding us, maybe it should be retconned?

Brit, edit your post. The Gods in this story never visit Earth. They basically all had very severe lapses in judgment and sort of gave a bunch of random people powers while drunk... >.>

So it would be random. No Athena walking down the street ;)

Same with you Rupudska. She can't already know how to use her powers, or where they come from. Since you are the new characters, you're basically starting from square one. Right now, your characters are normal people.
