John Donaldson, who had just had a romantic evening with Tracey, was informed by a personal aide that a massive wikileaks dump from the Spellman Campaign came to light. He really didn’t know whether it would be a good thing or a bad thing, so he subjected an intern to look through all the emails with the words “Dayton”, “Donaldson”, “Murphy / Levi”, “Hot Dog”, “Portugal” and “Richardson”.

After the campaign aide disappeared, John rolled over to the hotel telephone and ordered a platter of Bifanas to be brought to his room. He was peckish after all the late night activity.

Volek’s staffers at the Democratic Leader’s Suite and at his main constituent office in New York City searched for “Karel Volek”, “Minority Leader”, “New York”, and “John Donaldson”.

Karel took down notes regarding the second-to-last point. “I’m afraid a bill that would ban the Confederate flag on federal property, while relatively straightforward to write up, would be very difficult to get though the current Senate. However.. green energy..... Keep that topic in your back pocket, because we may be able to get some legislation out of it.” He smiled a bit and decided to press a bit more. “Nuclear, you say? I didn’t realize there was still support for nuclear power out West. In any case, I think a bill addressing nuclear power would probably have the best chance of getting through the current Senate- it seems the only kind of green energy the Republicans like involves radioactivity.” He chuckled a little.

“Are you thinking of providing tax credits, creating a new research program at the Department of Energy, or doing something else?”

Buster grinned back at Karel. "I'm a firm believer in nuclear energy. I hope a broader policy could be enacted, like a carbon tax, but I don't have a problem starting small. Tax credits for nuclear power are a great start, especially if we make them conditional on things like safety and efficiency standards."

In his spare time inside the Des Moines Holiday Inn that Tim was staying in, he was surprised to see the CNN update on Spellman pop up on his phone. Curious, Tim pulled up the WikiLeaks website on his laptop and went to the Spellman page.

He typed "Levi Murphy" into the database.

The little punk is climbing in the polls, I literally don't know how we will get Marty to change his mind if he sees these numbers. An early loss will weaken the confidence in the campaign and you know he's already had doubts since he chatted with the Speaker. I still haven't heard the details of their conversation but I bet it doesn't bode well.

I wager one of two things will happen.... either the Republicans play ball, and we get a major win on economic affairs, or the Republicans don’t play ball... in which case we hammer them for it in November! There’s more to the bill than that, though.”

Westra sat with his chin in his hands, a small smile on his face. It was a worthy cause, and one that definitely had legs. Westra had been itching for some anti-corporate actions lately, and this seemed like a good bet.

"Tell me something, Karel," he replied, "what's the goal of this? Because we could probably easily make this bipartisan. Democrats hate Big Tech, so do many Republicans. We could author it with a Republican Senator. Or we could make this a Democrat project, wait for the Republicans to react in the Senate, and make them pay in November if they go against it. Which road should we take?"

"And what kind of exact provisions are you looking for in this?"
