BREAKING: WikiLeaks has uploaded over 6,000 leaked emails from the Spellman campaign between top advisers. We will continue to update the story as it breaks.

Des Moines, Iowa

John Donaldson, who had just had a romantic evening with Tracey, was informed by a personal aide that a massive wikileaks dump from the Spellman Campaign came to light. He really didn’t know whether it would be a good thing or a bad thing, so he subjected an intern to look through all the emails with the words “Dayton”, “Donaldson”, “Murphy / Levi”, “Hot Dog”, “Portugal” and “Richardson”.

After the campaign aide disappeared, John rolled over to the hotel telephone and ordered a platter of Bifanas to be brought to his room. He was peckish after all the late night activity.

However.. green energy..... Keep that topic in your back pocket, because we may be able to get some legislation out of it.” He smiled a bit and decided to press a bit more. “Nuclear, you say? I didn’t realize there was still support for nuclear power out West. In any case, I think a bill addressing nuclear power would probably have the best chance of getting through the current Senate- it seems the only kind of green energy the Republicans like involves radioactivity.” He chuckled a little.

“Are you thinking of providing tax credits, creating a new research program at the Department of Energy, or doing something else?”
Buster grinned back at Karel. "I'm a firm believer in nuclear energy. I hope a broader policy could be enacted, like a carbon tax, but I don't have a problem starting small. Tax credits for nuclear power are a great start, especially if we make them conditional on things like safety and efficiency standards."

“I’d wager that such a tax credit already exists, but by all means, write up a bill and let’s see if we can’t get it through Congress, eh?”

In his spare time inside the Des Moines Holiday Inn that Tim was staying in, he was surprised to see the CNN update on Spellman pop up on his phone. Curious, Tim pulled up the WikiLeaks website on his laptop and went to the Spellman page.

He typed "Levi Murphy" into the database.

OK, update: the Senator refused to back down from supporting Williams, seemed pretty skeptical of the rather obvious conflict of interest. Unlikely he'll change but maybe if we pressure him? Threaten him with an endorsement of Dayton?

But we know how MS feels about that though he might be convinced if Senator Westra does a good job. We'll have to wait and see. Good luck with the kids btw!

Rhonda,

We need you to present the Levi Murphy powerpoint for the meeting. Sally can't make it, she has some prior engagement thing. I already laid it out and can help but I will need to be away from Oregon for four days so I won't be able to stay the whole meeting. We need to get MS onboard with this ASAP and you know Osborne thinks she has him ready to flip.

I know its short notice but please let me know if you can.

The little punk is climbing in the polls, I literally don't know how we will get Marty to change his mind if he sees these numbers. An early loss will weaken the confidence in the campaign and you know he's already had doubts since he chatted with the Speaker. I still haven't heard the details of their conversation but I bet it doesn't bode well.

I've attached the most recent polling though, some surprising analysis though. And get back to me with what the focus group said, Marcus was asking it from me.

Westra sat with his chin in his hands, a small smile on his face. It was a worthy cause, and one that definitely had legs. Westra had been itching for some anti-corporate actions lately, and this seemed like a good bet.

"Tell me something, Karel," he replied, "what's the goal of this? Because we could probably easily make this bipartisan. Democrats hate Big Tech, so do many Republicans. We could author it with a Republican Senator. Or we could make this a Democrat project, wait for the Republicans to react in the Senate, and make them pay in November if they go against it. Dear Friend,

It appears that your campaign is a little short on cash, you do not have the big donors of Frankston Jr. nor the vast estates of Clay. I believe I have found the remedy to your woes. I have gotten some oil and gas company executives who are quite happy with my performance pushing through pipelines throughout North Dakota. I have spoken with many of them and they have expressed interest into attending a potential big dollar fundraising dinner where they will get to meet you.

If you would be interested please write back indicating your interest.

Regards,

James

I'm following up with the details we had arranged for the Spellman visit to the Dayton Marriott Hotel. I was hoping we could sort this out over a phone call, specifically any platforms or materials we needed to fit to the room. I know this was a concern before.

Please let me know soon and thank you for your patience!

I've attached the angles the team developed. Basically one word: guns. Dayton has been bragging about being a responsible gun owner the entire campaign and her record has been murky. She made deals to do other things by keeping lax gun laws, the details are in the folder marked "Debate Angle G". Could really work.

Also, what are you getting for lunch? Mike recommended a pizzeria he had found. Let me know ASAP, we want to order by noon.
