The time of the week for the House Minority Leader’s weekly press conference had once again come. With no statement make, what with activity on the Hill dying down as both parties prepared for their conventions and thus, the beginning of the general election in earnest, Volker opened the floor for the press to ask questions.

Having decided not to hold a Twitter town hall the week prior due to the then-ongoing Democratic National Convention taking place, the House Minority Leader had spent the week conversing with a number of the cycle’s Republican candidates, the cycle that would form the first and perhaps, the biggest test yet, to his leadership, along with supporting the Republican National Committee in preparing for the GOP’s own convention in the following week. And now, as the first day of the convention dawned, the House Minority Leader was once again holding that third certainty unique to his own life. Nevertheless, managing to find a room from which to hold the livestream, Thomas prepared to speak to the American people again. As his staff manning the camera notified him that the stream was now live, the Missourian began.

“Good morning my fellow Americans,”

“As I’m sure many of you are by now aware, I’m Thomas Volker, the Congressman for Missouri’s 8th District and the House Minority Leader during this Congress.”

“This upcoming election is perhaps the most significant election in many of our lifetimes, the tremendous work done by Presidents Wolf and Tawney in making America great again is at risk of being damaged by the radical socialist agenda being pushed onto the American people by Senator Dayton, Speaker Simone, and the Democratic Party.”

“Their’s is an agenda which seeks to undermine and suppress the institutions and values that our nation holds dear, freedom of speech, law and order, and the belief that our republic is truly the most exceptional nation on God’s Earth. Their’s is an agenda of attrition.”

“It is essential that the American people reject the divisive and damaging vision that the Democratic Party and its political machine seeks to impose on the United States and the American people by voting for Republicans up and down the ballot in order to preserve and defend the very essence of our country.”

“However, I have with me today someone who over the past year has been at the forefront of preserving the Wolf agenda, a man whose commitment to representing those who have placed their faith in him by electing him as Governor of this state, and keeping his promises every step of the way. I am of course referring to none other than Governor Nate Richardson.”

The camera filming the livestream then proceeded to zoom away from the Minority Leader and showed the presumptive nominee seated a short distance away.

“Thank you for joining us in today’s livestream, Governor. How are you now that we’ve finally reached the first day of the RNC?”

Richardson: Communist China needs to be held accountable for its actions, it wrecked utter devastation to jobs and our economy even before this economic crisis hit. That means getting tough and working with our allies and other strategic partners. Now this will not be easy and the sectors of our economy which are hurt most by this are going to need our support, and we will give it. But if we keep giving China a free pass then their is no telling the damage that will be done not just to the United States but the rest of the world.

And going after non medical marijuana is not going to be a major priority, instead the priority is the untenable situation caused by Democratic politicians defunding and demonizing the police, which has led to double digit increases in violent crime in some areas in the past few months... This requires triage, stopping the blood flowing through the streets... My absolute priority... is tackling violent crime and going after drug dealers...

If Governor Richardson is serious about ridding the spirit of Porter from the Party of Lincoln - which, I know from our private conversations that he is, in his heart - then he must start with Donald Pauer.
