Emperor Franz Joseph is pleased, all northern Italy would be for the empire and the Italians are advancing so fast it would be easy to cut their supply lines. Also he has decided that it would be better to recognize Bulgarian effort he decided he would give them Albania and Montenegro with the condition that the Albanian port of Vlore will always be open to austro-hunagry navy. And since Russia has surrendered and Austro-Hungary taken over ukraine The emperor decided that the 1st of july of 1915 The sudetenland and bohemia.moravia will be part of the german reich. Austrohungry decided to move by the brand new railway Dacau- Vienna and should arrive in no more than 1 week. Also the 5 million men that had enlisted in the recruitment office since the begining of the war are now ready to fight. Luckily for the emperor of those 5 million 1 million are in Vienna and its suburbs. Also he appointed Itsvan to take control of Ukraine and to start exploitng the "barn of Europe" (he said that if the Russian people faced a famine in this winter, food harvested in Ukraine should be sent to helped them). Also he said to Anton Haus he should start planning a much bigger navy since the A-H navy would be now of 2million men.

Summary:
Total Army size increased to 11 million men. 2 million men stay at the frontier with Russia (which start fortyfing themselves and had winter equipment). 1 million men along the adriatic coast 2 million men to the Western Front and 6 million attacks Italy.

Total Navy size increased to 1.5 million men, 1,25 million men in the adriatic sea and 0.25 at the black sea.

Start building railways to Ukraine and modernizing the existing railways. Ask German engineers for help.

Modernize A-H naval fleet.

Modernize Ukraine Agriculture and move the unemployed to Austria-Hungary to work replacing the 5 million men that enter the army. The ukranians are treated with respect and given fair salaries. Start exporting food to germany. (if they need it of course) in exhange of rocketry engineer, and to start a program to develop tanks (funded by germany, but A-H scientists will be ready to help the germans).

Keep building artillery plants and modernizing small arms plants.

Will give Bohemia-Moravia and Albania-Montenegro the 1st of July 1915.

Brazilian-Uruguayan War:

The Imperial Army launched itself deep into the small Latin American country of Uruguay, prompting an immediate response from the National Defense of Uruguay.

The Uruguayans were sure that a concentration of force in Brazilian Army Columns were the key to victory - as they believed that Brazil would use it's excessively larger population to advance heavily into the nation. As the first battles began...Uruguay could not understand. There were no mass advancements or charges, no overwhelming numbers to behold. But, a few shots sounded here and there. A few soldiers dropped dead. There they were, of course trying to hide, pitiful Brazilians! All men, fire downrange! They began to fire at an obscure area, none of them could even see the enemy.

More shots. In great volume. More Uruguayan soldiers fell, but this time from the Flank. Oh god, a Flanking maneuver! Back forces, concentrate fire on the Flank to defend it. Bang, Bang, Bang.

The Back Forces were under fire themselves. Where the hell were they? Soldiers were dropping like flies and none of them had even seen a Brazilian soldier! Then the artillery came. Thunderous, killing without discretion. The Uruguayan Defense Army was scattered and annihilated. This was the same story through-out the entire territory, small groups of Brazilian soldiers with repeating rifles where able to take down the Defenses of Uruguay.

On the seas, the Brazilian Naval Expeditionary Force engaged converted Merchant ships of the Uruguayan Navy as they wished to keep their main gun boats back on the Rio de la Plata to defend it against further attacks. The battle was over in under a few hours, all enemy ships suck with only minor scratches on the Brazilian Force.

The War effort was closed in under a month as Uruguayan President José Batlle y Ordóñez was forced into peace talks with the Empire of Brazil by the National Party and the Colorado Party.

Losses of the War were confirmed at this point:

Brazil: 1,258 Men, 2 Merchant Marine vessels
Uruguay: 15,673 Men, 13 Merchant vessels, 1 Gunboat

The Second Treaty of Montevideo confirmed Brazil's domination of Uruguay, formally reclaiming it as a "Lost Province". It also garunteed that Spanish and Portuguese will be co-existing within the Province, among other things. Uruguay is officially under the control of Brazil.

With the new Province of Uruguay, The Second Empire of Brazil authorizes the transfer of all Naval vessels into the Brazilian Navy and all Army units into the Imperial Army. Special treatment will be given so that they may have some bilingual translators if needed. Although, the languages should be close enough to be understood well.

As our shipyards come online, Emperor Maximus orders the construction of 2 Modern Dreadnought-warships.

With new factories coming online, the Empire orders the construction of weapons and ammunition to further excel growth in the Manufacturing sector of our Economy as well to bolster the up-and-coming Imperial Armed Forces.

Resource Expeditions are ordered as well, with the prize being a percentage of the profit made for discoveries. This should prompt many to go forth and find oil, coal, iron, and all natural resources needed to meet domestic industrial production.

Also enacted are Protectionist Policies to protect our growing economy and encourage Domestic consumption. This should be of great use since Coffee and agricultural products will be easier to sell within our own Empire rather than overseas.

Railroads continue to expand to connect cities and resource areas.

OOC: @ Austria-Hungary the troops were being amassed for some time, it was that one night where they were all transported to the front lines.

IC: Upon realizing the the Austro-Hungarian forces are three times larger than the italian forces, the Italians retreat to the upper peaks of the Alps and the valleys in between. They dig in and amass over a thousand artillery guns. Italian forces catch up to the front lines and fortify the land they have taken from Austria-Hungary, which aside from much of the Alps including the Grossglockner isn't much. They have captured the town of Lienz, however, are are fortifying their position along the Drau River to the east, hoping to take Klagenfurt. All thoughts of diverting some troops to France are lost now, as the Italians prepare to make a stand atop the Alps and along the Drau. Artillery is firing down on Austro-Hungarian forces whenever the guns aren't clogged with snow. Conscription increases tenfold in Italy, hoping to raise a force to combat the Austro-Hungarians.

Meanwhile every Italian soldier on the Western Front is issued with a gas mask, so Germany isn't going to get away with their cowardly attacks anymore.

France
December 19, 1914

The French government has moved again, this time to Marseilles, which is guarded by 5 French Reserve Army Divisions. This will be the governments last stronghold in mainland France before they are forced to find a place to set up a government in exile. President Poincare sends out requests to set up a government in exile in Canada, Portugal and Brazil who France recently ceeded over French Guiana.
5 French Expeditionary Force Divisions have been called back to return to France after the African Protectorates have been given their autonomy. They will return to Corsica and begin setting up defenses there to make Corsica one of the final strong holds in France.

The French Air Corps
Despite the urge to halt production to watch the battles to the north unfold, the military factories of France still coninue to produce French aircraft. 15 have been completed thus far and already have a top secret mission in place. The French aircraft will be shipped via railroads to the Air Corps base in city of Lyon to await the production of the remaining planes. After the formation of the secret operation, Marshal Foch orders the production of 150 more planes. They are expected to finish production by late March of 1915.

December 19, 1914
Tsar Ferdinand smiles as he reads the message from Franz Josef. His dream of a unified Balkan Peninsula is coming true. He then is told that the Italians have attacked the Bulgarian fleet in the Adriatic. Ferdinand sends a telegram, demanding that the fleet pull back to a wider, more maneuverable area to fight them. The Bulgarian fleet pulls out of the engagement, sustaining few losses. They had two ships torpedoed and sunk and three others had sustained damaged. The Italians sustained similar casualties, losing at least one ship and having several others damaged in the fight. The production of the new navy is still in progress, two new ships have been completed (one in Corinth and one in Varna) and they are filled immediately with crew, then sent off to join the blockade.
The armies he ordered to assemble in Sarajevo are about to reach their rendez-vous. Then, they are to march north then cross the Austro-Hungarian-Italian border and take Venice. When taken, they are to prepare the city as a command post for the new front that is to be established against Italy.
Ferdinand also awaits letters of reply to his banquet invitation.

Emperor Franz Jospeh will go to the banquet. Also he orders his troops to stop advancing and order Anton Haus (admiral) to bombard coastal cities of Italy. he also asks tsar ferdinard to move his troops into Ukraine in case of a russian attack. Also he orderd to move 2 million men from the italian front to the adriatic port of Rijeka and ordered transport ships to rebase to that port.

Christmas Eve, 1914
For too long, Mexico had been wracked by a civil war that tore at the nation's very heart. Now, one man had a plan to change this. His name was Maximillian Ortega. In Mexico's strife and unrest, he planned to rebuild it. He was currently attending a Christmas Celebration hosted by President Eulalio Guiterrez, and his plan was about to spring into action. He had arranged for a coup to take place after a single event took place. That would be the execution of non other than Eulailo Guiterrez himself. At midnight, he would go up to the stage with the President and make his move. Right now, it was 11:48, and his closest aid, Maria Cabral, walked up to him and whispered into his ear: "Everything's ready, sir. Move when you wish." He decided to wait until midnight. It would be more theatrical this way.

12:00 Midnight
Maximillian knew the time had come. He saw the President onstage and calmly walked up to him. He shook his hand and chatted him up. When he turned around to talk to someone else, he pulled out his brand new American Model 1911 Pistol, and shot him in the head. He died instantly and fell to the ground, lying in a pool of his own blood. Maximillian calmly sipped some from his glass of tequila, and spoke loudly yet calmly. "Proud people of Mexico, a new age has begun! A new age, in which Mexico shall enter the world as a true power, not a pitiful weak conglomerate constantly at war with itself! I have arranged to replace this, with myself as Monarch and head of this new nation! I shall lead Mexico into the world!" At first, no one spoke. The guards began to shuffle in the corner, and they realized they were in on it. They quickly began to clap, and Maximillian smiled and finished his drink.

As soon as Maximillian came to power, he officially crowned himself King of Mexico. Despite his regal title, he was just as much of a military dictator. He had total alleigance from the army, and he planned on making good of this. He ordered a draft of 200,000 young men to fight the rebels in Northern Mexico. He sent the men to stamp out any rebellion. Any rebels found are killed, their homes seized, and their immediate family killed. He also raised taxes on the upper class in order to fund the construction of factories in Mexico's major cities. He also establishes a minimum wage for citizens to be paid, and even what he hopes to become a public healthcare system and public education system. However, his main priority is the military. The new factories not only provide jobs, but weapons and ammo for his new shiny army.

Many would remember that night as the "Christmas Revolution".

December 26th:

Emperor Maximus I addresses a massive crowd in Rio de Janeiro, mainly as a Brazilian Pride Rally. It is recorded to be one of the largest gatherings in the Southern Hemisphere, if not the entire Americas. His voice was broadcasted over radio through-out the crowd and the Empire as a whole.

The Speech:

Following the speech, men began to sign up for the Military enmass, raising the Armed Forces to over 1,000,000 men strong. Productivity skyrockets as well, more factories are opened and more workers (particularly women) are filling these roles. Unemployment is dropping steadily, Pride in the Empire is at an all-time high. Their first test as a nation is completed, and now they feel as if they can conquer the World itself.

The Second Empire marches on.

Russia:
Sweden has resumed her offensives into Russia. Using Saint Petersburg, which was captured in the last conflict, as a base, Sweden attacks the heart of Russia. She assaults Volodga, Rybinsk, and Yaroslavl with 2,500,000 men while the bulk Russian force fends of the German, Bulgarians, and Ottomans. Sweden now threatens the Russian capitol itself, Moscow. Several hundred thousand men even rush behind Russian lines to disrupt supply lines and attack from behind.

Madagascar:
The Swedish Expeditionary force has landed in Madagascar and has begun the invasion of the island. Forces carry out amphibious landings on the Southern part of the island, and much of the Southern half is taken quickly. Sweden hopes to have her first colony since Delaware back in the 1700s. Sweden uses the Ottoman Suez canal to transport a second expeditionary force.

Navy:
Sweden continues to build up her navy. She won't stop until it is one of the most powerful in the world. She sends a large portion of her navy to aid the German blockade and patrolling the Atlantic.

Papua New Guinea
20,444 of the men heading for the middle east have been redirected.They will head to the German side of New Guinea to block the shipping lanes and eventually invade.

Factories
20 new factories are being built most are small but a few are large.This is helping to lower unemployment throughout the RANZ.

Inter-Australian Railroad
A railroad is being built in every commonwealth in Australia.It will be one of the longest railroads in the world.

Oil
Oil is starting to mass produced and sent to all the allies.But the production is being slowed by lower technology levels.

OOC: to Prussia Aguinaldo mobilized a million in 1905 in one day but was massacred because it was a very disorderly mob, and a disorderly mob i no less of an army than a pile of rubble is a house

IC: With the cover of the night sky Aguinaldo and his few men sneak into Tanauan and meet Miguel Malvar in the area near the fort. With them meeting they would devise a plan of attack to retake luzon then the Philippines.

While that happens del Pilar went into Lipa and disguised himself as a trader and will sneak into the weapons cache in there. (that's all I don't have time)

Madagascar was caught off guard with the sudden invasion of her newly founded state but had raised a militia of 81,000 in early December after being given a protectorate status by France. The Swedes moved quickly into Madagascar relaxed and uncarefully as they thought the locals wouldnt put up a fight. The Madagascaran Militia ambushed the Swedes in the cities of Morondava and Fjanarantsoa and quickly surrounded the Swedish assault force. The Militia opened up from all sides slaughtering the unsuspecting Swedes and forced them to retreat further south to break free of the encirclement. The Militia then quickly blends in to the jungles to hide and wait for the next chance to ambush.

Manchuria front, China

Japanese armies are on standby at the Manchurian/Chinese border, but due to supply shortages, any further offensives have halted. 2,400,000 soldiers have been shipped from Nagasaki and are expected to arrive in Manchuria in about a week. The troops are being shipped with more artillery, ammunition, armor, and pleasantries from Japan. A prototype Arisaka, the Type 41, is being tested in the field and is making excellent progress. Dozens of crates of the new 'mushinoiki' have arrives. The heavy gas has been implemented into artillery and mortar shells, and in a flamethrower-type mechanism. Off shore ship launched bomber planes are prepared to take off, and will use mainly fire bombs and gas. The IJN has been deployed to the East and South China seas, patrolling straights and blockading Qing ports. The coastal Qing ports and coastal forts are excellent places to test new naval weapons and gas.

Indochinese front, Southeast Asia

The heavily entrenched Japanese forces Indochina are experiencing similar supply shortages as the Manchurian front. All preplanned offensives have been halted until further notice. 1,200,000 troops are preparing to leave for Indochina, and expect to arrive in about a week. They have supplies and several secret weapons with them, including Plague samples, ‘Nitorsue’ fire chemicals, and prototype conventional arms, modeled to outdo their European counterparts. Indochina continues to be a central hub for weapons testing, and the local Vietnamese and Laotian civilians make excellent test subjects. The Indochinese ports are given special attention from the navy, as they are used extensively to transport technology to and from Japan.

Seppuku labs, Wasaka Bay, Japan

Dr. Yamagata continues his research with the bubonic, pneumonic, and septicemic Plague. The Dr. decides to name his underground labs the ‘Seppuku’ labs, shortly after he realizes that breeding test subjects will create a constant flow of usable subjects, after so many have been bred. It is estimated that it will be two years before their labs will be sustainable, so for now he collects villagers from Vietnam and Laos. Current research includes Plague mutation, cultivation, and deployment, improvement of ‘Mushinoiki’ and deployment of said gas, genetic research, as well as basic physical and phycological tests.

Tokyo, Japan

Emperor Taishō has recently implemented several questionable laws that instill fear into his population. He has implemented the Junsui initiative. Any foreigner who isn’t in Japan for Imperial business is deported to china, and those who refuse to leave peacefully will be forced out and their possessions taken by the state. The Emperor also set in place a standard national quota, a goal for Japan to produce so much every day. The quota is currently so high that people are working over 100 hours a week on average.

OOC: I posted originally 850,000, although I'm thinking that's a bit unrealistic. Lets try 150,000.

Madagascar:
The expeditionary force retreats back to the coast after the French forces' attack, However, they still outnumber and outgun them, and the advance north, this time cautiously. Swedish forces are on high alert at all times, and are instructed to remain alert at all times. These men served in the war during the first conflict with Russia, so they have something of experience in forest combat.
