Yes please. I'm a bit confused as the intro post says its July 1914, but it sounds like the IC posts are starting in 1913.

I second this. No offence, but a full year's worth of preliminary time carries too many butterflied, particularly if we act like we know a war is coming at a specific time. Give us one General post, or maybe two or three months. Otherwise things are going to be unrecognizeable.
For example, what's then to stop me from just using the US's massive industry to creating a much largerv navy or totally flip politics? Particularly since Denmark seems to be doing a 180 in imperialism and domestic opinion? Thats not fair to everybody else, since a lack of preparedness and General isolationism are really the US's only weaknesses.

as long as you can commit to the 2 paragraph per post minimum requirement, then, yes, you are accepted.

I have to agree here, two months is a bit too much for a one day/one week equivalence. However, 1913 is the starting year, but the time will move quite rapidly, generally confirming and building early pre-war relationships, if needed, and confirming or tweaking of your war strategy. At this point in history almost everyone in France, UK and Germany basically know that war is coming, most of the smaller states do as well. So establishing of their warplans and whatnot now, and readying themselves for it. But, yeah, it won't be long until a certain Archduke gets shot in some alley in Bosnia.
However, we will general run off the 1 day = 1 week idea for the RP, however, it will be flexible and allow for some fluidity when it comes to battles and such.

Like Great Britain double the size of her land army and completely overhauling her military structure for a trench warfare-style system (somehow without causing a major crisis in government... particularly since military spending is the Conservative's thing, not his Liberals, and it would only take a few dissenters to bring down his government with their slim lead.). I have no issue with tweaks and changes, of course, but it seems Denmark and the UK are setting the standard at rather... major ones.
Anyways, I'll be making my IC tonight. It will be in a slightly different format (Newspaper-style)

Also... I need to note that the 2nd Balkan War's peace has technically not been established yet. So... the Balkan powers have something to keep them busy.

Huh. Thanks for reminding me! I mean, Montenegro is a little far away for heavy conflict, but it's something to consider.

I was thinking in terms of the peace settlement more than anything else. Beutarch and his Ottomans would be the biggest players of those we currently have.
Speaking of which... how are we dealing with NPC nations?

Depends of the scale and NPC involved. Invading of an NPC would require one person to assume command of the military, more than likely one of the allies of said nation. For example, If no one is Belgium, then one of the Entente would assume command of the military forces. In dealing with political relations with another NPC, we follow historical protocol on how the RL nation of 1914 would actually act. For example, Italy isn't RPed, when war breaks out, Germany will call on it for support, and they will decline and remain neutral, switch sides, etc. Or something along those lines, trying to keep it as fair as possible.
I'm still trying to work out how to do Russia, without an RPer for them. I'm leaning towards just following history up until someone takes control of them, so I don't really have to command forces there, because that can be tricky and counting casualties as they really did add up through 1914. If we need more direct interaction, then one of their allies would have to take control of them. Same goes for Austria-Hungary, until claimed and when prompted will fall under the Central Powers.

Thanks for the clarification. I'll be making alot of use of that information, since most of the US's dealings are with the political crisis in Mexico at the moment. The complexities of its factions and the need to co-operate with other Latin American nations to sort the whole affair out mean intense NPC activity is required.
