However, men without property could vote, as well, and the married women and women without property, were getting antsy, desiring the same rights, as these men. The Congress put forward a crazy idea, that they thought would work. They made it law, that to be able to vote, at all, you must own property. This took away the right to vote, from indentured servants, renters and college students, without a permanent residence. However, for the women, the Congress formed the, Israeli Women's Congressional Advisory Board. The IWCAB, as it was shortened to, was a Women's Congress, who were allowed into Congressional meetings and were allowed to voice their opinion, and give the opinion, of the everyday women, but they did not vote on any laws, unless, they pertained, specifically, to women.

After hearing about Tanzanite, they offered to assist the Nordic Government, in the construction of a railroad, between Khartoum and Thorhearth, with a freight line going to the Tanzanite mines, at Mt. Kilimanjaro. Along with the Jerusalem Company representative, was a representative, of the Israeli Government. He came to inform the Nordic Tanzanite Company, of the Free-Trade Zone and Export-Processing Zone, in Alexandria, and insisted that they set up factories to process the Tanzanite, there.

The Nordic Governor of the Tanzania colony, wearing his new Tanzanite tie, agreed to the terms of the Jerusalem agreement, as long as the new Nordic Tanzanite catalog and sales pamhlet Hagallmall was provided complimentary to every train passenger and was produced and sold with Tanzanite processed in Isreali territory. The agreement also had to support the Nordic governments production monopoly on Tanzanite, in order to keep the somewhat common gemstones value up and to prevent it's only known deposits from being depleted.

To help with the Colleges and Universities until major ones were constructed, they were specialized into Engineering, Mechanics, and alternate fuels. Also, a sector dedicated to advancing the Steam Engine for Republic use. With that, the move to make Republic college students began.

After the collapse of the Dutch Free State capital, they continued to pester the FSA. This was no longer a fight for the white race in Indonesia, this was a war against a tyrannical threat. They made this obvious, by hanging up posters in cities with a large white population. The white population started to become uneasy, especially, since the native Indonesians had started hunting down any and all white people, they find. In Java, ethnic cleansing took place, leading to the massacre of 5,000 Dutch civilians. Along with these, were 30 white civilians, from other parts of FSA. Many protest sprung up in Rim City and New Louis City. The white civilians were demanding, the new Dutch population be treated fairly, and to stop the native massacres.

Also, at this time, most of the Dutch Rebels escaped to Christmas Islands, with what was left of the private navy. They got away, unseen, hoping to continue raids, from this location, but for now, they would wait. Continuing in Sulawesi and West Papua, the rebels would come out of the jungle, and slaughter FSA soldiers, in their sleep, and return back into the jungle. Many rebels crossed into Papua New Guinea, aka New Mexico, and started setting up camps there, from which they would attack the FSA. Now, rebel support was coming in, from around the world. Fighters from Israel, Novskar and the Nordic Republic, were constant, but they also drew troops from France, Italy and Germany, lots from Germany. This was not going to be a quick war, and there will be rebel attacks, for years.

Israel would take all Dutch refugees, but only if they wished to come to Israel. Any ships coming through the Suez, with Dutchmen for Novskar and the Nordic Republic, were halted, and the people were set free. They were also allowed to return to Indonesia, if they wanted. Three Israeli Fourth Rates, were sent to the island of Java, to watch over the remaining Dutch city there, Surabaya, with a population, of 100,000 Dutchmen. Along with the ships, 1,000 Israeli soldiers, labeled peacekeepers, were sent to defend the city. Knowing that Israel was on good terms with the FSA, the Israeli Government did not fear retaliation. All Dutchmen from surrounding villages, were called to the city, for safety.

Due to an advancing 5,000 Mexican soldiers, befuddled, half the Islands Garrison went to meet them. Of course, that totaled 75,000 Soldiers, so they stopped the Mexican forces. In response to the Israeli Government, it in return showed specific reasons why they were being deported, including pictures of the Natives maimed and killed by Whites before the FSA had come. The White population in General was well treated and respected as long as it obeyed the law, and only deported those who showed unwilling to obey the law, and to protect them for the future, had to deport them. The Government even have a certificate too all people deported that when things calmed down, and were willing to obey the law, could become citizens without Assimilation, and would be given homes on charge of the Government. The FSA welcomed the Israeli soldiers, and had enough problems keeping things just right. The situation was complicated, and invited a Israeli envoy to discuss the fragile situation, and the Government 'plans' regarding the Natives, and a appropriate solution.

The FSA troops left Papua, and Natives left with them. The Whites there really weren't affected due to being compliant with FSA laws, so were rewarded for doing so. Also, as far as deportations went, a new poloicy was adapted to calm Israeli nerves. Instead of outside the country, they were taken to New Louis and given homes and jobs. Also, they went to certain peoples with White Majorities, and garrisoned by White Troops. In some cases, Israeli troops. Deported people we're Also called back, and sent to these places, and promised return to their homes when the situation was calmed. Until then, they were given things to calm them. As far as the Natives, the Government began constructing a view of brotherhood, and the same being done to the Whites. Mostly through pamphlets like HagallMall, which emphasized Unity under the banner, and were being shown what the Republic has to offer. Most notably to whites, the fact they could take as active a part in Government activities. To the Natives, that they were in Government at all. Of course the Military was still dealing with rebellious people, but they began being dealt with differently. They weren't necessarily executed, but were imprisoned, and given opportunities to return to society as part of a new country. The Prison facility were comfortable, almost like very secure schools........which they were, helping people have a different view point. They were also handled by white guards. The Natives who were in similar situations were also delt with white guards. Finally, the Government was calling back Reserves to their homes, no longer currently needed.

Looking at the letter, the Secretary of Defense was pleased with the Americans pace at the delivery. New Louis

To make Indonesia compliant with new rule, a secret Government organization known as State Security whose goal is to ensure the wellness and fairness of the People of the Republic. (OOC: Think FBI/CIA/KGB/SS) The acts of the SS were mostly different kinds of Inflence, and sometimes threats. The organization so secretive, people don't know what to think of it, and it's usually just making people think a certain way. Most of the Government didn't know about it, or the population, or most people. Who knows? The High Ups, but that was rare. These men began to smooth out Indonesia, and consisted of Priests, Farmers, Soldiers, and more.

The FSA troops left Papua, and Natives left with them. The Whites there really weren't affected due to being compliant with FSA laws, so were rewarded for doing so. Also, as far as deportations went, a new poloicy was adapted to calm Israeli nerves. Instead of outside the country, they were taken to New Louis and given homes and jobs. Also, they went to certain peoples with White Majorities, and garrisoned by White Troops. In some cases, Israeli troops. Deported people we're Also called back, and sent to these places, and promised return to their homes when the situation was calmed. Until then, they were given things to calm them. As far as the Natives, the Government began constructing a view of brotherhood, and the same being done to the Whites. Mostly through pamphlets like HagallMall, which emphasized Unity under the banner, and were being shown what the Republic has to offer. Most notably to whites, the fact they could take as active a part in Government activities. To the Natives, that they were in Government at all. Of course the Military was still dealing with rebellious people, but they began being dealt with differently. They weren't necessarily executed, but were imprisoned, and given opportunities to return to society as part of a new country. The Prison facility were comfortable, almost like very secure schools........which they were, helping people have a different view point. They were also handled by white guards. The Natives who were in similar situations were also delt with white guards. Finally, the Government was calling back Reserves to their homes, no longer currently needed.

Dutch Rebels

With the decline in Asian troops, Dutch civilians, flocked back across from the New Mexico colony into Dutch Papua, which was now under Mexican control. Having heard the Mexican Government was now protecting their capital, they decided to be good citizens, and not attempt to oust the Mexicans. After all, why be at war with two people? Many Dutch rebel forces, moved their operations to Sorong, within Mexican territory. From there, they shipped food to Kendari, the capital, and sent weapons they acquired, from other countries. In Kendari, the Dutch leadership was working on a plan to retake Sulawesi. They required weapons, however, and sent a dispatch to the Mexican ships, asking for weapons, from the Mexican Government.

In other parts of the FSA, the relocated Dutchmen, started to rile up the assimilated white population. They spoke of the slaughter, of innocent Dutchmen, in Java, and how the government did nothing to stop it! This got some of the assimilated white people to question their trust in the FSA Government, and whether or not they should leave for safer European colonies, like Singapore, or if they should stay and fight. Many did leave for Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia and Portuguese Indonesia, but some were swayed to fight. In fact, the Dutch rebels began setting up shop in Singapore, knowing that the FSA would not invade the English Empire.

Surabaya, Java

Back in Java, the Israeli forces were attempting to defend the Dutch city, from the natives. A group of Hospitallers, known as the Red Cross, began to set up small clinics, to treat any injured people. The FSA officials welcomed the Israelis, but they warned them that the Dutchmen were terrible people too, and brought them pictures of tragedies. The Israeli General looked at the pictures, "These are senseless scribbles you brought me! Come back when you have proof, of this genocide." Right then, the native Indonesians attacked the town and secret boarded the ships. After a long battle, the natives were defeated, but not without casualties. The General had had enough of this, "Enough, these savages are costing us too many lives, I am going to take the fight to them." Then, the General took 500 troops, and began to assault the natives of Java.

Djibouti, Djibouti

"Splend!" King Pascal replied, and made his way back to Israel. He sent some men, to assist the Ethiopian Government, in their civil war. 5,000 infantry and 2,500 cavalry, were dispatched to defeat the rebels.

Petit's Lab, Jerusalem, Benjamin Province

Recently, Israeli scientists have been testing a substance called, Chlorine Gas. It is a very common element, which can be very deadly. The Israeli Army, put them in charge of finding a way, to weaponize it. They couldn't really determine a way to do that, however, and were stumped for many years. In recent days, they thought of pressurizing the gas, and finding a way to release it, afterwards. The army was getting fed up, with how long they were taking. Knowing that the scientists had already developed a way to pressurize the gas, they sent 7 scientists and some containers of pressurized gas, to Gran America, whom they knew, was great at making weaponry. They hoped, the Gran American scientists, could find a way, to take the pressurized gas, and turn it into a weapon. Along with them, they sent some old, Renaissance Era, sketches, of arsenic/sulfur bombs, from Italy.

As far as the Natives went, the Government issued a warning. Murder is Murder, and the punishment is the same for anyone. The Government took aside the Israeli commander, and told him they would deal with it. And deal with it in earnest, and haste FSA troops did. They wanted to help the Natives, but Allies took priority to an extent. Therefore, they delt with Natives, and gave our more warnings, and calls for Order. The Government had never went out to kill whites, but the same couldn't be said about the Natives who went through years of mistreatment. Of course, the Republic Heart bleeds for the Natives, however these attacks were not to be tolerated. White Populations were set under protection, and the Natives were given more hands on leadership. State Security was also at work in the shadows of it all, and making people more compliant, and a new literature named 'Tolerance' was being distributed. They didn't have to like it, but must tolerate each other. Also, a new court to deal with Natives and Whites was set up, and would deal accordingly with all law breakers, and made sure to apply it equally. In regards to the Relocations to the Mainland, schools were set up to provide free education to these new children, and of course a different line of thinking. Soldiers were also told to act kind to people all over. The exception of course if literally being shot at. Finally, it was determined just to divide Indonesia into different states, not just one territory, and convinced whites and Natives to move to certain states to calm tensions. It wasn't mandatory, but there were rewardes for moving, and to the white centered states were provided with an extra dose of Subtle propaganda and State Security. Of course, the Natives while usually more Compliant, had their own dose of it as well. They weren't kept completely separate, but close enough not to warrant warfare. State Security running it all under the scenes also set up anti-rebel plans, and very lucrative rewards for turning in Rebels. Also, Republic businesses were fairly common in the territory, and played a role in assimilation. What people read, ate, saw. Also, people relocated were also given opportunity to move back to these white centered states, and the mountains of subtle propaganda awaiting.

A New Passtime?

Outside the factories, children have taken to a new game, which has been called Gridiron by some and Football by others. It involves a leather ball, and lots of tossing, running, and some kicking. The sport has gain traction, and is being considered at the Schools to be a literal sport. It's a small movement in the gears of the Republic, but even small things can become big.

The Japanese people polled for 3 weeks, the tabs tabbed, the numbers counted, and alas a new president was elected. President Yamamoto: a somewhat conservative pure Japanese leader who was born right at the end of the Japanese empiric rule, then lived in a state of defense from the Korean government. He rose as a political leader and was very charismatic and well put together. He had a plan: end this war once and for all, and make sure no one is harmed in the process.

He told his new head general, Head General Smith, a Catholic from Europe, to send a detachment 65,000 strong along with a howitzer and 5 navy vessels of high strength to create a buffer state on the island of Sulawesi. This island was to be a sanctuary for the Dutch population, but also stand in the way of FSA and Mexico to stop any and all ground warfare. The island was to be protected and any attempt at invasion would not be well met. The detachment was sent and with partial control from the Dutch, but barely any presence from the FSA, the president's ideas were quickly established, and a few thousand Japanese citizens came, mainly to grow food on the island, and many Dutch citizens that were not rebelling against all governments came as well. The islands population grew to about 76,000 people from the nearly 10,000 on the island initially. Palu, and old city on the island is the main military sector for Japan, but the land stretches down near the south coast. The islanders were very well informed about the island, and were quick to show the army the inns and outs of the island. Along with the cities, many minor settlements were established by the incoming dutch refugees (per-say), and most grew to about 1,000 settlers.

Two main cities were established on the island, Makassar on the west and Kendari on the east, with about 32,500 soldiers for each city. The islanders were very well informed about the island, and were quick to show the army the inns and outs of the island. Along with the cities, many minor settlements were established by the incoming dutch refugees (per-say), and most grew to about 1,000 settlers.

Japanese flags flew in the streets as the election in Japan had been held, and a ally came under new Administration, so the people of the Republic showed it's support for the Government with it's celebrating crowds. The Republic's government sent a Gift of a picture. It showed two women, one representing the Republic and Japan, shaking each other's hands, and a prosperous picture of the globe behind them.

Meanwhile, the FSA took Islands in Indonesia mostly unpopulated and deemed them Colonies, and began assimilation of Natives, with no Major Cities, so they were given different buildings to accommodate that. With that, the Republic also wondered if they should be regular Colonies, or those of Penal Colonies.

The Island of Sulawesi

May, 1842

200 US Federal Marines and 1,000 Filipino Troopers nailed in the last bolt into the wooden structure that now surrounded the survival of the new capital of the Sulawesi Colony, the town of Kendair. The town was the largest on the island, a former Capital for the dying Free Indies Government. The government had put up fierce resistance, but in the end the colony fell. Many citizens were quite happy, they prefered being ruled by America rather than the FSA, whom they saw as inferior to them, or by the Mexicans who they also viewed as Inferior.

To the north, the Japanese beat the US and Filipinos to North Sulawesi, to they went around and took the island of North Maluku, and from there landed in South Sulawesi, and went north eventually meeting a advancing Japanese Force. The two sides established a border between America and Japan, using the river near the city of Poso as a guiding line.

Eventually, the Colony of the Moloccus was formed, with the promise that soon the islands would have home rule. For now, US marines and Filipino Infantry kept strict control over the islands.

Coffee? - North Sulawesi

Local coffee producers in Sulawesi have heard of a possible large exchange in Japan from their beans. This was new news to the Sulawesi people, and many sent back their coffee with the soldiers returning home. The soldiers vowed to bring back all profits from Japan to the Sulawesi people, and they did such. When a new dispatch of soldiers arrived back, the money was delivered on time. The army in Sulawesi has been reduced down to 20,000 as the borders have been defined and don't need as many men to protect.

The Hungarian Empire to the south was weakened. Now was a perfect time to invade; to bring HAGALL! The Crown Prince had ordered the invasion of the old empire, now that it was in tatters and the army had either mostly deserted or split up into small different factions.

He sent Marshal Truchevech with 75,000 men to begin the annexation of Romania, General Yakiv Zolya to take out the Bulgarian front with 50,000 men, General Myran Puhach to capture the land named Georgia on the black sea with 25,000 men, and General Stepan Novak to capture Serbia. The conquests would hopefully be over quickly, as the Crown Prince was ambitious.
