This is a thread about a Mounds Bar.

In all seriousness however, I'm actually curious what people think about it. I tried one for the first time a few days ago and I was expecting worse but it was actually pretty damn good.

Now, I know all the memes about it too, but really, is a Mounds Bar good?

Also, please keep it civil and respectful. I don't want to see Tiami hitting a home-run on someone.

An almond joy but slightly less sweet would be the best way to describe it really. But I am shocked someone remembers mounds exists because I didn’t remember. The only reason I clicked on this thread was because my brain was turned off and I thought let me click on this. Boom here I am.

I personally prefer mounds. Almond Joy is still good but almond in general isn’t my favorite (it’s fine but not great) so I personally prefer having chocolate and coconut uninterrupted by the inferior flavor of almond.

That said I haven’t had either in quite some time and I’ve noticed chocolate candy quality in general has been going downhill across the board for awhile at least in my part of the US. So it could be I wouldn’t like either one if I had them today. I just don’t eat much candy anymore. Mounds was one of my favorites to get on Halloween as a kid though lol.

They're clearly superior to Almond Joy. Darker chocolate, no baffling whole nut stuck in the middle. Which makes it annoying that my local grocery store doesn't stock Mounds except at Halloween, while Almond Joy is available year-round. What if I don't feel like a nut, Hannaford? What then?
