I really like the colors used for the text here, and the symbols further make it look nice, and well... *American*, which is the whole point. It's a cool layout. Although I will say, and this is just a observation, not a criticism, but 'The American Empire' in its color, is quite hard to read in dark mode. I don't know if you really care, but it's just something you should be aware of.

Wessex was the one that united Germanic Britain, then the Normans annexed it. The "Midlands" are older than England itself. England* is centred around the south, mostly the south east. When most non-Brits think of "England" they think of red buses, big ben, the queen, tower bridge, "bo'o'o'wo'a". This is all London. London feels foreign to the rest of Britain, it's so different. England is literally just contemporary Wessex (ironically, because Wessex isn't even Anglian), with French characteristics. Yes, I said it, cope engloids. Ethnic Mercians have the highest percentage of Frisian ancestry in Britain at about 40%, and it was invaded by Danes as was Northumbria, whereas the south wasn't. England always has had a 3-way divide since it's very beginning. Even today, the rest of England is much farther behind the south. Just think about it. When people say "Birmingham is a fucking shithole", why is that the case? They're certainly not wrong (downtown is alright though). It's because of neglect. Look at Stoke-on-Trent, absolutely depressing. Corby? Utter dive. Coventry? According to Coventrian ska band The Specials, a "Ghost Town". Dudley? Full of knobheads. Nottingham? A bike lock won't do. Skegness? Embarrassing. And the north is the same. It's downright neglect. Even prejudice against the accent is so ubiquitous. It's a division that's growing more and more. And frankly, it's rather embarrassing telling someone you're English abroad.

*England does not include Cornwall, as it isn't English. So when I say "the south", Cornwall is excluded.
