to be real, there's definitely a point where long-form writing becomes too much; why use many word when few word do trick?(plus also I'll grant that reading a literal novel is tiresome to keep up with)

but at the same time most people's definition of 'too long' or the term 'essay' is something like "my nation bomb ur nation and you take 50 billion casualties pew pew war crimes"

at any rate, people ought to write how they want to whether it's summarized action or really in depth kind of creative writing; the onus is on the participants involved to actually... yknow, read. which is one of the points of creative writing and text-based roleplay right up alongside collaborative writing/worldbuilding and - most importantly - having fun
