If there was really some grand conspiracy against people on the wrong side of the culture war as you put it, then there would be mass deletion of the nazis, incels, and people with general right wing views. You also get nations that seem like normal enough MT nations but when you look at the lore they actually have quite a lot of FanT. Kind of tough to RP with those if you're in a hard MT setting unless you want all your RP with them to be non-canon.

Well stop messing with IRL nations then. You create a new nation from an IRL and suddenly poof, the Independent Republic of Boldonia is no longer independent anymore because America does one small thing differently. Unless I want all of my interactions with other player nations, you know 80% of the game, to not even matter then some powerwanking is needed. A lot of time a nation's lore is so reliant on an event going exactly as it did in their lore to even exist, so introducing a new nation can utterly ruin all of that nation's lore. You can't really have fun in this game without making stuff up that makes no sense.
