Speaking of meme potential, early 20th Century Spanish history is pretty underrated. Sure, people know about the Civil War, but what about the Rif War, which had a single battle completely obliterate the political landscape of Spain and was a significant factor in the later demise of the Monarchy? Don't see a lot of people talking about it, do ya?

Literally never learned about the Rif War, and barely anything about the Civil War, even, but I've come to love history of Hispanic nations. I'm sure that there's a lot of fun to be had sharing memes about wars from all throughout Spanish history.

A large reason that Nazism is as prevalent in society as it is today, even though it is still a pretty minor ideology in the modern political landscape, is because the media and politicians sensationalize as many Nazi acts and attacks as they can.

I feel like, apart from Native empires going full throttle or monarchy or the drug trade, Latin America doesn’t get talked about as much as it should be. Post-Revolution Mexico for example is a great opportunity for content, especially the Cristero uprising. Hell, even Gran Colombia deserves some love.

Disagree on both scores. Scotland will not become independent. Catalonia will not become independent. Quebec will not become indpendent. California will not become independent. There are ultimately no advantages to provinces breaking off an becoming micronations. And the Scottish independence movement only really got going after the Scottish Parliament was set up, so really not Thatcher's fault, Blair's fault if anyones.

Comparative politics is an interesting exercise.
