Quality weaponry(and weaponry that's actually reliable, looking at you Panzers and T-34) is the ultimate (fuck autocorrect) factor in warfare. Numbers may overwhelm the enemy, but those numbers are harder to replace overall. Yes, quality weaponry takes up more resources, yet what is more important: Manpower couped up in a metal box that is a rushed ticking time bomb, or weapons? Quality>quantity ensures less losses on the battlefield as a whole, that and a competent command structure.

Current situation with gun ownership in modern America is meaningless in creating a citizens militia or resisting the government. USSR or Yugoslavia were closer in creating a capable civilian fighting force (and as we know, paid dearly for that).

I can't say that I know too much about the situation regarding gun ownership was in those countries, but honestly? I'm inclined to agree. Most American gun owners are very pro-government (no matter how much they'll try to tell you otherwise), and I just can't imagine any one of them actually performing the armed insurrection they talk a huge game about, nor can I imagine them even defending their communities during a bad situation.

The song sounds nice, but its association with Nazi collaborators just... poisons my ability to enjoy it.
