The Caara, or Kuer runes, is the alphabetic system used by the Kuer people in antiquity. It was primarily carved in wood or stone tablets and sometimes on monumental Caara-stones. It was mostly written left to right, but some early Caara-stones are found wich employ boustrophedon (bidirectional) direction, and fewer still with top to bottom direction.

The people of New Maine have a right to free practice of personal faith, to free criticism of faith in the public sphere, and to impartial governance by a secular party. No faith, except that preaching openly violent or other such precepts, may be legally discriminated against or targeted by the state. -

This is a refreshing line. In general, actually, the whole constitution is a refreshing thing to see for a socialist nation, not at all like you'd expect from the flag (if you'll forgive my being judgemental)—the New Maine system challenges the common socialist/communist stereotype in many ways. In the bleak Fallout wasteland it almost seems a utopia in comparison to the rest of the canon factions in what seems an almost deliberate commentary.
