These screenings sometimes were about history topics, with a heavy American bias, but the visitor quickly saw through Earth's political alliance systems by contrasting the opinions and narrations held about the Soviet Union before and after wartime productions.

Now that's a very keen history reference. Good catch on the American propaganda pivot on Soviets as WWII Allies and Cold War foes. The US, UK, and Soviets strained at each other through the whole war, but often tried to keep up the best of appearances to civilians (at least they did in the US, I guess I don't actually know the UK and Soviet situations nearly as well). And on top of the great history reference, I like how the line shows how savvy Nova is, that she can notice this pivot in the propaganda and hazard at the geopolitics behind it. As readers we know she's smart of course, but this is a great way to show that in action.
